First it was a no show at the Grammy awards, now the former four time APW Undisputed Champion Level-One has reportedly checked into Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Los Angles California to undergo a surgery after reportedly re aggravating a prior injury at this past episode of Thursday Night Overdrive when he secured a pin fall over CJ Gates to lead his tag team partners Evan Envi and Terry Marvin to victory.
The initial injury was said to occur during Level-One's number one contendership match with CJ Gates - doctors initially recommended a rest period in order to properly heal from the injury or risk a more serious injury but a determined Level-One was eager to get into the ring, ASAP.
We don't know exactly what the injury consists of but it does require surgery on his left shoulder - Level-One could not be reached for comment but his fellow tag partner and friend Terry Marvin issued the following statement.
''Lester is a tough son of a bitch - from what I understand he could've continued to fight through his injury but he wants to be in his absolute best shape against Biggs at Rasslemania. He's willing to give up two weeks of in ring action to ensure he's at his best and I fully support his decision.''
We spoke to APW officials hours ago and they have told us that they cannot confirm whether or not Level-One will appear on Overdrive but they've told us that they have no reason to believe he won't.
We wish Level-One the best of health and a speedy recovery.
