The past month and a half have been a whirlwind of activity for the rising Meltdown star, Niobe Martin. Since her return to the APW she's managed to pick up a few wins here and there, made herself a few friends and also a few enemies along the way in Robina Hood and one half of the GM's of Meltdown, Sienna Harrison. With the promise to make the Nightmare's life a living hell from now on until she 'gets it', Niobe's going to have to stay on her toes and out of the line of sight for now while she takes on the next person in her line of sight. "The Burning Star" Megan Andrews.
Will this 'Burning Star' shine brightly or die out like just another candle flame?
It all remains to be seen...
The scene opens up to the shot of a slowly setting sun in the horizon, and in the background you can hear the sound of water gently churning back and forth over and over like a gentle lullaby. There’s the faint sound of music though you can’t quite tell from what direction it comes or who is singing it. But you know it’s there. The view pans down to get a glance at the dark ocean water then slowly graces over the white sand to a pair of red painted toes planted firmly in the sand as if they’ve always been there, patiently waiting. Suddenly the view goes up jean covered legs, over a dark colored t-shirt with the band logo of ‘Dropkick Murphys’ on it to the face of Niobe. She has found herself here, on a small deserted beach down the road from her hotel in New York. A place where she could find a moment’s peace for just a second if that.
She stretched her arms above her head for a second then dropped them as she checked the music playing out of her phone then pulled a bottle out of the other pocket and cracked it open, taking a swig of it with a smile.
”I haven't exactly been making a lot of friends around here as of late. Take a look what's happened in the last month and this one alone. I've gone back and forth with Robina over every inch of the arena that we were in. I wiped the floor with her last week. Plus I've gotten on the bad side of our lovely GM...or one half of them, miss Sienna Harrison."
Niobe chuckles softly for a minute, briefly thinking back to what happened back in her home town, picturing that woman stalking towards her with the most angriest look on her face that she'd ever seen. After what she had done to Robina, she wasn't surprised. Beating the GM's 'pet' unconscious would raise the ire of Sienna for sure. There’s a shrug to her shoulders as she takes another drink, biting her lip afterwards deep in thought for a moment.
"I'm feeling good this week, for some reason. I helped my buddy Lance get a win in his last match here on Meltdown in our tag match, sending him off with at least a good memory. Dear god the man could use it after being chewed on by certain people, and you all know who they are. I'm not going to name names, because I'm in enough trouble as it is."
The waves rush back and forth, licking and lapping at the shore over and over as Niobe keeps on drinking from the bottle, glancing at the sky for a brief minute before glancing at the ocean water again.
"So if this is the way things are going to be for me, then so be it. I'll take things as they go. This week it's an up and coming girl, some people are really looking forward to. 'The Burning Star' Megan Andrews. I'm looking forward to this too honestly, looking forward to inviting the Star into my playground and showing her why Nightmares are things you should be afraid of. Yes my dear this is my playground and it's time for you to learn a valuable lesson. Don't mess with the NIghtmare, you'll get everything back ten fold."
