So I'm in the middle of the show, but figured that I'd get this thread started anyways. Thanks to Kash, Envi, Callahan, TJ, and Jules for writing Matches.
As for segs, there's a whole mess load of them, and the folks who have segs on the show, (or will by the time it's done posting) are Jeff, Raab, AJP, Logan Alexander, Christian Kane, KJE, Jason Kash, Shane Borderland, Johnny Knuckles, TJ, Michael Callahan, Bailey, Jair, William D. Williams, and Slade Craven. If I missed somebody, please let me know.

Why are people thanked for writing segments? I realized I never read the opening post for these Show Feedback posts. I'll do up a review later but I'm sure someone will do it better before or after. Good show, had some very intriguing spots.

Good show, had some very intriguing spots. I didn't thank folks for writing segs, I thanked them for writing matches. I guess you still didn't read the opening post, at least not closely.  But on that note, a big thanks to everyone who turned in segs! Remember, Asylum is your show, and it's only as good or bad as y'all make it! |

A shout out might as well be a Thank You! But yeah you're right, I didn't see the fine print there. At least it wasn't super small and flashes on the screen before people can read it. What were we talking about? Oh the results, I'll get to them tomorrow for a review.

Just read through fairly quickly. What I read was excellent, I think this show gave Asylum the pre-Rasslemania momentum it needed. It's always going to be tough for Asylum being bi-weekly to build the storyline depth in every PPV cycle. It actually takes real stamina to carry out angles to their fullest on Asylum because twice the amount of time is needed.
I'm really excited to see a strong picture building in the tag division, and I can see this one going a few ways. It would be nice to see a bit more input from across the water, but I guess that's down to OD people to organise if its to their fancy.
Really pleased with what the new recruits have added. With this lot I forsee Kash getting his wish for Asylum to at least equal Overdrive for consistent quality of content.
Kash v Borderland should be a good match. In fact I kind of hope it's the only non-XT/ST violent stip match on the Rasslemania card; it will give this match a really good selling point, an Asylum marquee match with novelty factor, plus we see too much emphasis on violence on the PPVs. I doubt I'll get my wish though.
TJ did a great job with his Raab match. I had an LoL moment when he gave The Guv a pop (cheers bro!). I've told TJ as much, he's my favourite Asylum champion right now. I was never ashamed to lose the title to him; I knew he could more than carry the torch. I think his match with Knux/Reaver at RM will be excellent.
As for the ME. I thought I would really enjoy Callahan vs Atken, but its a feud that just hasn't gripped me quite as much as I hoped. Not sure why though, can't quite put my finger on it exactly. One thing I know though is that these two WILL deliver when it comes to the RP.
That's all for now, I may come back with more later, but I'm going through another one of my really busy phases, I can never really tell when I have time to feedback when that's going on, so thought I'd take 5 mins to write this now. It's something at least.

Okay I'm gonna throw down for some Asylum Feedback.
The opener to me had potential to be the Match Of The Night. Christian Kane is just explosive and Shane Borderland is consistent when he wants to be and has been as of late. It was a short match but with Kane missing the deadline, the match kind of lost it's glow. Hopefully we get another match from them down the road cause it'd be something to not only promote but look forward too.
It's nice to see President Jeff on Asylum. It doesn't happen enough. I like how Jeff gets involved with people heading into Rasslemania and Stefan Raab makes so much sense this time around. I liked when Havok and Jeff feuded but this could be more hyped, more thrilling even and that's what makes it entertaining to me. Raab steps into a well lit spotlight with this feud.
Callahan's segment was off for me. Is Callahan turning Face? I can't see that for him, not sure it'd even make much sense. Maybe I'm not intelligent enough to see it making sense but I think the segment was more Self Character development and was used to have a segment. With him being in the World Title picture, you'd think any and all segments would be to promote the Asylum Main Event for RassleMania. Maybe it's just me...
AJP hits the nail on Show Segments. Everything is done to a point and purpose for whatever storyline she is involved with. Even if it's to build a single match, she puts forth the effort to make sure it matters enough to have a segment for it. Hopkins and AJP is a big potential match, I think with KJE being sick we probably won't get a AJP/KJE rivalry and Hopkins/AJP or even M&M/Dying Breed is very interesting to see unfold.
Reaver is someone that Knuckles use to use in an old fed. The character has connections to Sage I believe as well so it really connects to everything he's done recently. A deeper, darker side of Knuckles with a mask. I suggested Delirious for the base because he fits the feel and thought of Reaver. When I suggested a Reaver conversion, Knuckles and I got to planning. Putting together various things like how to take Knuckles out, how he returns as Reaver. Some stuff has changed as time passed so while I'm thrilled for Reaver, I also have concerns that too much of Knuckles Comedy will still exist. Maybe he merges them together well, it's something we'll see over time.
The Tag Match was cool. Although in truth I felt kind of lazy rping because I had 1 rp for a 2 week period. Still, I knew this match had to happen and was great booking. Didn't know Kane was going to be accompanying KJE and I to the ring or I'd have sold that. You could argue he costs us the match..Haha! I really enjoyed reading Logan's rp for this match, I think he could bring some good stuff out of me down the road. Something to look forward too I suppose.
Slade Craven comes off as overlooked and often does get overlooked. He's consistent and puts out decent work but to me it's always the same stuff. I actually like writing his matches but I think a Buried Alive Match might be too BIG for someone who gets overlooked too often. He needs something to spark so that he's once again notice. A good feud, not a wild stipulation. Just my opinion though.
KJE and Kane attacking Dying Breed? That was a surprise! Could this setup a Triple Threat Tag Title Match at Mania? That'd be DOPE!! I say Triple Threat Tag, but with the rules that during the match, a member from each team is Legal. So you always have 3 people inside the ring wrestling. Make sense? Always a Three Way!
James Chambers Hall Of Fame! Asylum getting some LOVE this year! This had me throwing up two arms signaling a Touchdown! Mark Out moment and it's funny because out of every member of Asylum history that I've known? I regret never getting down with the two Asylum members who made it to the Hall Of Fame THIS year. I tagged with Chambers in a War Games though so I got SOMETHING!!
I hope folks like Hopkins vs. Craven..Hopkins, you my bro, we talk all day on PS3 as of late but your finisher is just CRAZY to find spots for! I felt weird writing the spot for your win and didn't really think it came out looking right. Hopefully it worked well enough though.
I wanted to Promote Borderland and Kash for Mania. I knew that it was gonna be on tap and I wanted to put something down to build for that. Again with the 1 rp for a 2 week period, I got lazy. I got sick the day I sat down to write and pushed through writing a match, a segment, and my rp in like a 2 day period. All the while coughing and gagging and sneezing and feeling like I got hit with a hammer. I think it came out alright though and will build on it more going into the next Asylum show.
Should Kash be jealous of Kane and KJE? I mean Kane is a sexy beast right? (I ask not judge myself of course!) They come together and trade some words with AJP and once again fits everything into making sense and selling their storyline. I absolutely love the characters on Asylum right now. I feel and want to step it up just to be apart of it. The shows in APW work so well because everyone writes to entertain not just themselves but everyone reading and following the characters. We are our own fan base and I'm thrilled to be a fan!
The Triple Threat Match is actually a match I forgot about going into the show. The great segments and developments of storyline just had me forgetting this match was taking place but WOW it pulled me in!
Is this Callahan spitting on Bailey? Or is it him spitting in his hand before punching Bailey with a hay maker? Either way spit or phlegm was involved and someone should have stomped Callahan to the mouth for it. Haha. Maybe I'm simple but when words like "agricultural" to describe an elbow drop or the Manner of the elbow drop just makes me laugh. Well written and it was very fitting for this match. I think the world of Keaton Saint, dude is just gifted in storytelling. If he asked, Kash would follow him into Hell because dude is just good. Bailey has been a player for a while now and along with Callahan, they both have cemented their characters in the growth of Asylum. Good match here, congrats to Callahan on the victory.
Phil is a silent warrior. He might not be the flashiest World Champion but the man holds it down like nobody else has recently. He puts in the work to carry the belt. Callahan/Atken II will be insanely well done, this I have no doubts. It will do Asylum Main Events at RassleMania all the justice in the world.
Okay so Kash takes out Knuckles, brings out Reaver in his old friend and long time rival. Reaver taunts Kash with a can of Donkey Punch but when he appears to the world...It's against TJ? This kind of made no sense with the past build up. I knew of the two wanting to feud and suggested the Reaver gimmick be pushed back (AGAIN) so he can feud with TJ and we'd do it after. Instead it's merged together and comes off as confusing as least to me looking in. If TJ had taken Knuckles out, then this makes sense and stands TALL as fuck for a build towards a feud. Hopefully the other pieces make it whole again.
Skipping ahead to the Main Event because I've said plenty about those involved with the 2-3 segments after the TJ/Raab match. Mannie has been on a roll and I hope it doesn't get to his head but he has alot of people seeing good from him and it showed in this match. Not Phil Atken at his best but it's Atken regardless and Mannie can hold this win over everyone's head and I'm sure he will. Switching to finish the night we see this deeply wounded feud of TJ and Reaver continue...It feels quick built and more filler to get a decent Mania match more than something that will build over after Mania.
Looking forward to the next show..
