Go to this link. This is my old "juggalo/gangsta phase". I got really fat, started wearing baggy clothes, was a "juggalo", and thought I could rap.
Long story short...
As many young white boys from the suburbs often do, I often had dreams of being a big rap star. I rapped often as a kid, with big influence coming from the Insane Clown Posse, and a lot of the Detroit underground scene (Esham, Twiztid, Blaze, etc...). One day, I sent a demo to Dr. Dre, and waited patiently for his call. I had plans of taking my crackhead wife Kim, and our precious daughter Haylee off the streets.
Dre wanted to work with me, and as quick as I could, I released my debut album, The Slim Shady LP. After that, things took off. I was doing so much T.V. oh my God, are you still reading this? You've got to be kidding me, when did you realize that this was the story of Eminem? And yet, you continue to read past this point, even though I've already stated the obvious. What the hell is wrong with you?
Seriously, though... I'm the second verse on "Role of a Soldja". Peep it. The guy I rapped with, he's so God damn talented! Check out his other songs. "Arsonal" and "So Hot" are his songs, too. He's pretty big locally. I haven't talked to him in over six years, though. Kind of fucked around with the same chick, and he ended up getting "feelings" for her. Therefore, I was cut the fuck off hahaha.
I look back on this time as a very confusing time in my life. I was brainwashed by the "Juggalo" creed and lifestyle. I had gained an enormous amount of weight in a very small amount of time (Thank god I ended up losing it just as quick, too!), I was new to being an "adult", and was doing a lot of "partying". Drugs and alcohol ran my life at this time. It's a point in time that I never want to get back to.
Do I blame ICP and their music? HELL NO! I loved their shit when I was a kid. BUT, that's when I was a kid. I'll always hear bits a pieces of their old shit at some buddies houses, and I'll chuckle. As a kid, believing in their "cause" of sorts, I really felt like I had a place to belong. I was apart of something special, a group that many people didn't "understand".
As an adult, I understand that it's all a marketing scheme by ICP, that they could care less about the "Juggalos". All I did, was make a few friends (Most of which, never amounted to anything, sadly), did a lot of drugs, wasted a lot of time, wasted even more money, and pretty much became a scrub, and a hoodlum. I have a very large hatchetman tattoo on my calf, from when I was 17, and had absolutely no time to worry about how I'd feel in the future.
I look at the "Juggalo Community" today, and I see nothing but a large amount of scrubby little kids, content with working at McDonalds for the rest of their lives. I see a bunch of people with absolutely no value or regard for life, and no common sense whatsoever. I will always be glad I grew up a "Juggalo", but today, they've completely changed. Or at least, I see a big difference.
I kind of got off track there, but that's a little bit about me, that you guys probably didn't know. Check out the raps, ignore the "Come Get Some", that guy sucked dick! Lol.
