Rumors began to spread throughout the professional wrestling world early this week that "Simply Put" Johnny Rebel is returning to APW, where he was recently fired as Overdrive's general manager, and apparently, it isn't motivated by competition. According to the popular tabloid website TMZ.com, Rebel was recently caught digging through the trash of a local Alabama restaurant.
Our TMZ reporters tried to catch up with Rebel in the act, but the APW megastar grunted at our camera man before breaking a beer bottle and charging at them.
Bubba Corkpepper, owner of "Bubba's Roadkill" had this to say:
"I saw som' dad'gum scum diggin' through our trash! I went out ther' with my trusty shotgun and saw it was dad'gum Johnny Rebel! I gave 'em a handful of 'coon meat and sent 'em on his way. He ain't lookin' too good right now!"
Calls to Johnny Rebel's representation weren't returned to TMZ because well, Rebel's broke, and probably doesn't have representation at the moment.
