Now that my son is starting to get older, I'm trying to catch up on a bunch of movies that I've missed over the past few years. This afternoon, I watched an oldie that I hadn't seen in years. Many years ago there was a movie called "Men of Honor" with Cuba Gooding Jr. and Robert de Niro, based upon a true story of a black man's efforts to become a Navy diver in an era that didn't want to adapt with the times. In an accident, Diver Carl Brashear (played by Cuba Gooding Jr.) loses a leg and the "new" Navy wants to retire him from active duty. Brashear isn't interested in that, and so he's forced to pass a seemingly impossible test. By far one of my favorite scenes from a movie of all time - Youtube hates me lately and won't let me post videos: Maybe it's because my dad spent 30 years in the Navy, but it gets me every time! I have great respect for any branch of military, but this scene just slays me. It makes me want to cry like a baby and punch someone out at the same time. So, I pose the question to you... what's your most favorite scene from of a movie?
