According to APW Management it seems that effective immediately following the 4/21 show of Asylum that "The Main Attraction" will be pulled from action. Reportedly it was said that GQ was not happy about what transpired during the cover unveiling which later led to an altercation with "The Soul Of Philly" TJ, so in order to protect their investment they have decided that until further notice that "The Main Attraction" has been excused from all action in-ring or out. However though "The Main Attraction" still plans to enter the gauntlet at Mayhem, but as of right now "The Main Attraction" still has alot of committed dates outside of APW to fulfill for both GQ & Adidas in the meantime to keep him busy away from the ring. So once this news had hit the doors of APW.com they were already on the hustle trying to get the scoop from Mannie himself who had the following to say...
"I know this is a difficult pill for all of my supporters to swallow but it's true, honestly as much as I would love to get back to wrestling I can't right now. I was told that TJ was so far out of control which his behavior that if he would had gotten his hands on me that it would reportedly ruined the whole deal with GQ, so that's why I was told to step back from action. Now I know some people are saying how would that had ruin the deal if you had already shot the cover? Well for those morons that don't know what the sun actually looks like outside of their mother's basement *Cough TJ*, then you obviously don't know that I have obligations I still have to fulfill to not only GQ but also Adidas which involves me having to do PR work, Media apperances, etc.... So this is why my now sabbacital is effective immediately. So even with me being gone I do however will keep encouraging all of you to buy your "Main Attraction" merchandise at APW.com, to also buy Adidas merchandise from all sport retailers, and to keep those GQ magazines featuring me flying off the shelves. Thank you."
APW.com also reports that GQ has decided against trying to redo the unveiling in an APW event, so instead they elected to release the cover online through APW.com itself. GQ has also confirmed the release date to now be April 26th.
