We open up to a shot of Niobe standing inside of a bar, eyes narrowing as she intently stares at a dart board in front of her. The camera swings around briefly, giving you a good look at the interior. A large bar sits in the back of the room and several rather expensive looking TV’s are placed at different spots in the room, each of them playing some kind of sport. Basketball, hockey, football, you get the drift. There’s a few pool tables off to the side of Niobe, people enjoying a few quick games of pool. A few of the patrons are watching the dart game happening at the moment, as Niobe grins a little, twirling the dart over and over in her fingers as she concentrates, lifting her arm and throwing it forward, hitting the dart just off to the center.
There was a low snort off to the side to which Niobe ignored. Her hand launched forward a few more times to empty her hand of all of the darts, a smile gracing her face as she looked at her handywork, pleased at how that had went. She walked forward and pulled the darts out of the board, turning around and handing them to the guy she had been playing with. He grinned and stepped up in the spot she had been, rolling one of the darts over and over in his fingers as he glanced over at Niobe who was patiently watching, tapping her foot impatiently as she motioned to the board.
”You got quite the aim on that throw there, girl. You do this for a living or something?” He asked, throwing the first dart, hitting just under the number 20, black.
”Thanks. I don’t do this for a living though. Playing a few random games here and there might be the reason for my aim though. I make a living as a wrestler, that’s what I do.”
The guy merely nodded and threw the rest of the darts in his hand, walking forward to collect them and handing them back to Niobe who stepped up again. The game went on like this until Niobe managed to pull off a win over this guy, who shook his head and slapped a few bucks into her open palm as she grinned at him, reaching out to shake his hand on a game well played. Her eyes trailed over him as she watched him walk away over to the bar and take a seat, ordering something that Niobe couldn’t figure out. She shrugged and shoved the money into her pocket and stretched out her arms a little bit. If you were wondering where she was, she was in one of the more popular bars in her hometown, enjoying a little bit of free time before hopping on a plane, sitting for a god awful amount of time before arriving in Venezuela for Meltdown. Tommy had already gone on ahead of her, with the promise that they would meet up as soon as she got in the country. She smirked as she strolled over to the bar, hips swaying and slid into a seat, calling the bartender over to get her a beer. The guy nodded and walked away, returning a short time later with her beer and set the bottle in front of her, walking away to attend to others. She glanced up at the basketball game playing on one of the TV’s, finding a mutual interest in it for the time being.
”I cannot believe that they stuck me with Ellis Graham and fucking Evan McDonald, just to take on NBK. I can’t stand either of those guys, not to mention Leon and Jake. Gives me a headache thinking about it. I know The Trust, or whatever they want to call themselves now isn’t too happy about the situation either. I’m sure Evan’s pitching a fit because I’m going to be the so called ‘third wheel’ in this match. We don’t like either other, if anyone has missed it. And I can’t stand Ellis, because his arrogant attitude just rubs me the wrong way. But if I have to deal with these two fools just to get my hands on Leon and Jake again, then so be it.”
Niobe chuckled, grinning and taking a sip of her beer, continuing to watch the game on TV. She still wasn’t too thrilled about the idea of having to sit and deal with The Trust as her tag partners, and frankly she wished she could of chosen her own team of people to take on Leon and Jake because there was a lot of people that would jump at the chance to take on NBK. But beggars can’t be choosers and she wasn’t going to complain and piss off the GM…again. She was sure that Jake, the good ol’ boy he was, was itching to get his hands on her after kicking his ass a couple weeks ago. Being beaten by a woman probably wasn’t sitting too well with him.
What could she say, she kicked his ass and sent a message to his partner. Mess with me or my tag partner and see what happens. And then there was Michael Jennings, the other odd man out in this match. She’d lost to him a few weeks back, after a hard fought fight. He probably though could care less about her or her partners…or NBK for that matter either. His attitude was in there for him and him alone. Poor emo boy, she thought, taking another sip of her beer, swinging her legs lightly against the stool she was sitting on.
A glance at the clock on the wall, and she sighed, finishing the rest of her beer before getting up, throwing down a few bucks and walking out of the bar with purpose. Now it was time to head home, get her stuff and go sit in a giant metal tube for an eternity just so she could get her hands on Leon and Jake.
The scene fades out to a shot of a plane flying high in the sky, Niobe seated comfortably within. Her head is bowed as she quickly shoots a text to Tommy.
It fades in again to Niobe standing somewhere backstage, arms crossed over her chest. Her face is turned down in a frown as she flicks her eyes to the side then back again.
”I’m just going to come out and say it because I know it’s the central thought on Ellis and Evan’s minds. None of us want to be in the same ring together because, let’s face it, we can’t stand one another at all. It’s like mixing oil with water and expecting to come out with some fancy drink. It’s just not going to happen. But the powers that be have stuck us together for the sake of this match and we’re going to have to make the better of it, despite everything. You two boys can mix it up with Michael Jennings, whom I hear has it out for both of you. Guy’s a brute, and I don’t know what you did to piss him off but it was bad enough that he wants your heads in this.
Yeah, Jennings, I’ve become bad. And I rather like it. I have a great guy by my side whose just as bad as I am. He’s not a scumbag, he’s got a lot more going and a stable head on his shoulders unlike you who walks around with this emo tough guy attitude. You’ve got some severe issues man, should see someone about it. I am a fighter, and I don’t need talk to do it. I’ll use what I’ve got to take care of business. And as for Evan, I don’t give a fuck about him. We don’t like each other. He can go be Ellis’s buddy all he wants, or his arm candy, or whatever, I don’t care. I’m not here to do his bidding, I’m here for my own wants and needs. If you don’t like it, too bad. Don’t be jealous of what I have in Tommy, be jealous of the fact you’ll never ever have a woman like me or have the talent he does. That’s real talk. I serve no one but myself.
Leon, we keep running into each other way too much buddy. You and that ridiculous partner of yours. This is just getting a little stupid don’t you think? I don’t like you, and I don’t like looking at you. When I get in that ring I’m going to wipe the floor with you and Jake.
They call me the Nightmare because of what I can do, because of the bad things I can do in the ring. How badly I can decimate people, that’s why they call me it. I don’t know where you came up with the other stuff. I guess it’s just looking for anything to insult me, even if it’s stooping to the level of a five year old. Whatever floats your boat dude. If anyone knows about teeth and biting it’s you and that freak of a girl of yours.
Just picturing you having the hots for me gives me the willies. Makes me sick to my stomache. I’d rather walk through a snow storm naked than get touched by you in that way. Just, no Leon, no. But you even try to put hands on me, you’re going to find yourself in a very very bad place you won’t have the ability to get out of. I will break every single bone in your fingers and hand if you even try, and don’t test me because I’ll do it.
Titan may have dominated the match, but I got the last laugh and won, which is more than I can say for you. It was a victory over his sorry ass, and this week won’t be any different. I’ll do it again, even if I have to manipulate Ellis and Evan to do it.
Later, punks.”
”Somehow I wasted all
They sealed my voice and wisdom
But my soul was born on the battleground
Justice in blood…long awaited victory
And tonight you die in hell…”
