Part of my Lvl 3 Media Course (since I am a college student) involves me making a minute movie so here it is, an almost lost footage styled zombie film. Director, Cameraman, Editor, Producer & Scriptwriter: Me Female Zombie: PrivateMale Zombie: PrivateEquipment provided by: PrivateThis is my very first attempt of making a film, so if you want to say "this is shit" you can shut the fuck up since I already know, lol. The editing software used was Final Cut Pro and the software was being dodgy when exporting it...so that's my excuse for if the film isn't good (other than my inexperience as a director, lol). Hope you enjoy the film anyway.

For 1 minute, I didn't even turn on the audio. Not sure if there was any BUT I rather enjoyed it. I'll tell you why.
The chase. It could have even been called such. I think the slow moving zombies are the classic zombie and the makeup was bad but it was good for the movie. I've seen low budget real length movies with the same type of make up so it's not the worst makeup I've seen. What I really liked though is the zombie taking the plunge. I laughed because I had just thought the victim should have tripped the zombie up and then it'd have been easier to kill. So him tripping was funny. Then I got surprised by the feet coming into the picture at the bottom corner. So you had shock value in it as well. I think for a minute film, it was Aces.
If anything, you could have added some fake blood to that title paper hanging on the wall. Fenomen. Yeah maybe some fake blood, nothing overly done. Just dribbles. But it was good and I hope you get an A+ for the work.

I recently graduated my broadcasting program, which covers video editing and production. So if it comes off snobby, it's because I actually know what I'm talking about vs the other things I just kinda bullshit over.
Dunno what type of equipment you had, but if you had Final Cut Pro, I'm gonna assume that you've got iMovie or so sort of post-production program, even if you don't Final Cut has the ability to insert text and the such in the video, you could have put that Fenomon text on that wall without that paper, which kinda took away from the video. I don't know how much pre-production went into this, but if you couldn't have added the text in post, then I'd suggest cutting the letters out of the paper and any white space in between the letters then tape over the entire letter. This eliminates the floating paper on the wall and also does a decent job at making it look glossy. I liked the effect in the beginning and the cutting was fine. I'd invest into getting Adobe Premiere. its more complex than Final Cut but it is more advanced and I've had zero problem using it to edit footage.
Also, I would suggest you do the audio separate from the filming. When outside it works because of the wind, but when you were in the school (?) you could hear other people in the hallways. If you don't have an actual recording studio, I use in my podcasts my xbox mic because it works with computers, but I'm looking around for an actual radio studio level microphone to improve the audio on my end at least. The reason I suggest this in the future is unless you have permission to close off a certain part of the school, you can't stop people from entering and what not. That kinda killed the idea of this place having people disappear. You would also be able to amp up the audio so that the audio is more audible. I personally had a hard time hearing what you were saying, may be the accent on my part, but it wasn't exactly clear to me what you were saying.
I'm no judge of acting so I can't judge that but I think your production was fine. I didn't see anything wrong. Can you improve? Yes but for what it was, it was good. I always employ the "less is more" idea to video editing. People will over do it and what not. It takes away from the actual product. I always view it as the editor trying to be the star of the show.

I am a film school drop out, more of a DIY indie film maker, and since TJ covered a lot here i will just say that this is a really good first attempt. My first attempt was a take on Scooby Doo chase scenes entering a bunch of of doors and exiting through other doors.
Pretty good. Keep it up, I will watch whatever you produce. And when able lend a helping hand.
