We are backstage in the locker rooms. Standing in front of one of the lockers is an unknown face. A young man in a nice black pinstripped suit and sun glasses. He takes a moment as he lets his presence sink in to the television audience. Then he removes his sun glasses and smiles broadly.
Hawk: Action Packed Wrestling WOOOOO! I have finally arrived and it is time for the Hawk to take flight. Now some of you know who I am, but a lot of you don't. Really that's your lose, but it won't be for long. You see I am the hottest thing going in independent wrestling. When I announced I was ready for the big time I was the most sought after free agent in the history of this business and do you know why? Because I am The Hawk....Nick Devine. For those of you who haven't seen the greatness that is Nick Devine, let me educate you. I am the high flying, death defying, quicker than your eye, and tougher than a two dollar stake son of a bitch that has dominated independent wrestling for the last two years and now it is time for APW. I'll make this simple and sweet, because from what I've noticed most of the half wits in the back here can't concentrate for over two minutes without their brains over heating. You may not know it now, but you will very soon, I am the greatest thing to have ever happened to the APW. I am the greatest thing to have ever happened to you the audience. Because when I walk into that ring I put my body on the line day in and day out. I do it for two reason; first because I love it, I love entertaining the crowd and I love hearing the gasps as I dare to do what no one else has the balls to do. Secondly, and more importantly, I do it because I'm the best. Not do I know I'm the best but I want you to know it as well. I won't take long before you know it. So mark this on your calendar as a historic day, a day you will be telling your grandchildren. The day you witnessed the birth of a new era. The day you witnessed Nick Devine come into the APW. The day that changed the wrestling business forever. You may doubt me, you may hate me, but you can't beat me. Lets be honest here people, many of these guys think they are the best of the best, but when it comes right down to it....hell they aren't even the best of the worst. The difference between them and me is that I can back up every thing I say. So I leave you people with this simple question. Have you ever seen a hawk fly? Your about to and take it from me boys and girls, ladies and gentlemen....It is simply devine!
