The scene opens up inside of a huge elaborate office. In one of the corners of the room there is a full bar. In another a water fountain and pond with a dozen koi fish swimming around. In between the bar and fountain sits an Oak desk. Sitting in front of the desk is two chairs. Sitting in the the chair behind the desk is Jason. He is staring at the door in front of him and across the room. He looks down at his watch then back at the door. He reaches into a box sitting on his desk and pulls out a hand rolled cigar. He then pulls out a gold zippo lighter, and takes a deep drag. A huge cloud of thick smokes emanates from his mouth as he blows out. Jason again looks down at his watch this time with an irritated look on his face. Multiple footsteps can be heard coming from outside the door and down the hall. Jason stands up with cigar in hand and walks over to the bar and pours himself a fine looking whiskey, in a glass half filled with ice. He takes a drink as his office door opens. Jace walks in with two big men in suits ushering him forward. Jace walks around the room until he is acknowledged by his father. Who motions for him to sit down in a chair. Jace with a frightful look on his face. Jason walks back over to his desk and sits in his chair. He stares at Jace for a minute takes a drag off of his cigar and a drink from his glass.
Jason: In a calm and calculated voice he begins to speak. Your an embarrassment to me! I said you could get a job done, and you dropped the ball. Do you realize the position your putting me in. I have been saving your ass and paying your way for years. You have and are nothing. You son Jason pauses for a moment and takes another drink from his whiskey. are not worthy of the name Savage. Your weak and pathetic. That's all going to change. Your not going to disappoint me anymore. I'm going to see to it. From now on you will be listening to me. You will do nothing and say nothing until I tell you to. Your career is now under Savage Managment. As Jason is speaking Jace is starting to move around nervously in his chair. He has a worried look on his face, his eyes are widening and his mouth drops a little. You will earn the name Savage and you will earn my respect.
After Jason stops talking he takes a drag from his cigar another thick cloud of smoke is in the air. Jace straightens himself up. And gets a more confident look on his face. The corners of his mouth cracks a smile on each end. He stands up up to address his father. He paces for a second as he thinks of how to proceed with this conversation.
Jace: With a bit of a smug and cocky tone Jace begins his reply I've been a straight A student all of my life. I have athletic trophies, awards, and plaques.. I attended Harvard! Was a Varsity wrestler with a number of accomplishments! I was invited to join the U.S.A Olympic wrestling team! As Jace is speaking arrogantly Jason takes another puff of his cigar, the look on his face is a look of irritation. His eyes are narrowed his jaw is tense. I did all these things! Not you! How could you? You weren't around to watch. You never came to a game. you were out conducting your "business" Jason stands up from his chair and walks around his desk. Standing right in front of Jace He grabs him and pushes him down into one of the chairs
Jason: He speaks in a loud and angry voice. Much different then when he last spoke. Shut up idiot! You really know nothing! Let me tell you about your "accomplishments" They mean absolutely shit! Ever since you were in the first grade, I've been doing it all for you! All through school I've paid off your teachers. Your grades are bought and paid for. Your sports accomplishments, paid for! The wrestling matches, opponents were bribed to lose. Harvard? They didn't offer you a scholarship to give you one. I paid them and had them act like it was a scholarship. Varsity Wrestling? I paid your coaches. I paid the other team to lose to you. Same goes for the Olympics! I paid the coaches to offer you a spot. If you would have went I would have bought your way to a gold medal. You have done nothing without me. I am the reason you have so much! It never got out into the public because I own the media. People were told to keep their mouths shut or bad things would happen. You are nothing and will stay nothing without me. Jason turns his back to Jace and walks over to his desk. He grabs his glass and takes a drag from his cigar. He turns around and leans against his desk facing Jace as he takes a drink. Jace continues to sit down with a look of disbelief on his face. He shifts uncomfortably in his chair.
Jace:In a shaky voice he sits straight up in his chair almost defiantly. Your lying to me! I did those things on my own. You can't take what I've done from me! Your a bastard! Why would you do this to me!Jace stops what he is saying realizing he disrespected his father and is visibly scared of what's to follow up from his father. Jason puts down his drink walks over to Jace and grabs him by the throat. He takes a drag from his cigar and blows it in Jaces face. The smoke starts to sting Jaces eyes and they begin to water. Jason keeping a hold of Jaces throat pushes him and the chair over to to the floor. Jaces face is turning red as Jason continues to choke him.
Jason:While choking Jace he lowers his face to Jaces and starts to talk in a cold and meaningful voice. You do not disrespect me boy.I didn't do this for you. I did it for me. You are a extension of me, and I own you. I am responsible for everything you are. Jason lets go of Jaces throat and he begins to gasp for air. Jace goes to sit up but is pushed back down to his back. Don't get up. You are going to listen to me now. I am your boss. You do what i say. APW is going to regret embarrassing the name Savage. You are going to do everything in your power to make sure you don't fail again. In fact I have a job for you. Some people owe me money. I want you to go collect it, and take James with you. I want to make sure it gets done right. You are to come back here when your done. Jason stands up and straightens his shirt and jacket. He walks back to his desk picks up his drink and takes a sip and another puff of his cigar. Jace is getting to his feet finely catching his breath but still red in the face. Jason writes something on a piece of paper and hands it to Jace Go here and collect what's mine. Make it snappy.
Jace Grabs the piece of paper and walks out the door nodding for one of the guards to follow him. The scene transitions over and Jace is sitting in the back of car with one of Jason's guards. Driving down a street in L.A., He looks a bit nervous like he had never done this before. Jason's guard just sits in the back seat with solid nerves waiting for the job to begin. Jace looks at him and cracks a half hearted smile and begins to speak.
Jace How long have you been working for my father Jesse? It's been at least twenty-two years. Am I correct? I don't see why you have worked for him for so long. How do you put up with a man, who drinks all the time and has violent mood swings. You know he's been treating me like that since I was little. That's why I had to get away. I thought if I separated myself from him, He would have left me alone. All I ever wanted was for him to love and respect me. All he does is hate and despise me. You know if he has been buying my way though life, He has never believed in me. He won't respect me until I'm like him. A man who takes everything and gives nothing back. He took my grand father's radio station and retired him. After that they didn't speak up until grandpa was lying on his death bed. He didn't even show up to the funeral. My dad hated his father so much for being a caring man. A man who gave back to his community. Maybe that's why he hates me so much. Maybe I have that side in me. I'm not such a bad guy like my father. I want to help people. I want to fight fare. With him as my manager. I'm going to have to do things I will regret. Like this ride we're taking now. I have to go and talk to this store owner who owes my father some money. If I do it I'm going down a path I've been trying to avoid my whole life. If I don't then I may not have a life much longer. Jace starts to get a hold of his nerves as he realizes he has no choice in the matter. What has to be done has to be done I suppose. I can't avoid my dad obviously. I'm going to have to do what he says. The car pulls up in front of a liquor store. Jace looks around and looks at Jesse who motions for Jace to get out of the car and go to work. Jace reluctantly agrees by looking around then opening the car door. As Jace gets out of the car Jesse hands him a pair of brass knuckles to go do the job with. Jace takes them and puts them in his coat pocket. Jace shuts the car door and walks inside the liquor store. About five minutes later Jace comes walking quickly to the car. He has blood on his hands and a small bag with him. He opens the car door and gets inside. The scene fades back into Jason's office. Jason is feeding his fish and having a glass of whiskey and a cigar. He has his back to the cameras as he begins to speak in a professional tone
Jason: Maybe it's my fault? Maybe I let the kid spend to much time with the old man. He's soft like him? He tries to live life by being honest and fair. What Jace doesn't seem to understand, Is there is no honest and fair if you want to succeed. You have to lie, cheat, and steal your way to the top. Nobody gets to the top and stays there by being fair. Nobody stays a champion in the light of honest competition. No, to stay king of the mountain you have to knock people over and keep them down. As a Savage I am king of my mountain. There is none who will bring my reign down. Not even my pathetic son. I will teach him what it means have the name Savage! He will earn it and my respect, even if he has to learn the hard way. Jason turns from his fish and faces the camera as he takes a drink from his glass and a big puff of his cigar. Jason walks over to his desk and sits in his chair. he ponders for a moment and begins to speak again APW you have disrespected the name Savage, you have walked all over it. You have brought the devil to your door step, through my son you will pay the devil his due. Everyone has a price they must pay. Blood, Sweat, Tears and of course Cash. I will always take what is mine. APW you owe me a lot for the embarrassment that you have given to my name and my son. For the embarrassment you have given me. Let this be a warning, When the Devil comes knocking on your door it's to late there's no escape. At the moment Jason stops speaking his office door opens. Jace and both guards come walking in. Jace has on a different pair of clothes from earlier and has a bag with him. He walks over to his fathers desk and places the bag on it. Jason motions for him to sit. I see you got the job done. You didn't fuck it up. I see your learning it's not wise to disappoint me. Good, I have more jobs to come and with each you'll grow to the man I want you to be. Jason unzips the bag and rummages threw it. He motions for Jesse to come get the bag. When Jesse gets over to the desk Jason whispers something in his ear. He nodes and heads out of the office. You have a few corrections to make son. Sampson, Carter and Knox have all laid shame at your feet. You had your head busted open by Sampson. Carter busted in your ribs and Knox choked you out. You HAVE to make this wrongs a right. You do what you need to, to make them respect and bring respect back to my name.
With those final words Jason motions for Jace to leave his office. Jace stands up and head towards the door. He stops for a moment at the door lets out a sigh of relief and exits the office. The scene cuts. Later in the day we see Jace leaving his office to get into his limo the cameras run up and he begins to speak before getting in the limo.
Jace: Where do I begin? I told you my father is a vicious man. He wants me to right the wrongs I've have let happen to my name. So let me start with Carter. You don't know when or where I will be. You need to watch yourself the moment you think I'm not around is the moment I'm going to hurt you. I'm going to beat the living shit out of you even if we aren't booked in a match. Carter your on my list of redemption. I have to hurt you, I have to make you respect me and I am going to. Knox you choked me out, Maybe that in itself won you the match. However, you didn't truly win. You see the fight didn't end in the ring. I don't count that as a loss to you. You can't say you've beaten me at all. It should be considered a no contest by the rules of the match. You however have made my list. The same goes for you, you don't know when or where but I will get you, I will hurt you I will earn my respect back.
Sampson you fuck. You've been a thorn in my side ever since arriving to APW. You split my face open. You've interfered in my matches. Oh but come the super show Sampson I'm going to show you a whole new side of me friend. You got stomped by London without me interfering. How do you explain that. You out weigh him and are over all bigger. Your a sad washed up never has been old fuck. You Sampson are going to pay the most. You are going to know what respect is. You have no idea what you've brought out in me but you will. At the Super Show we have a no DQ match. I can't wait to get my hands on you. I hope you understand this is nothing but personnel between you and I. This isn't going to be a wrestling match. It's going to be a fight. You will not win, I know now who I'm facing. I am facing a low life who cares for nothing of himself. You act all high and mighty. Thinking your better then everyone. You turn your nose up at younger, better talent. You know why that is? Do you? It's being scared. Your scared you will fade a way into nothing. Nobody will remember you, and your right nobody will. Once you leave Sampson you will be a distant memory at first, then nothing at all. You will fade into to history as a drunk bum who made nothing of himself. A never was you will slowly fade from APW. In fact I will make sure of this. Come Meltdown you better get ready your going to fight for your life you garbage piece of shit. Sampson you have embarrassed me for the last time. After The Super Show you will learn to respect me. There's no where you can hide. There's no escaping the debt you owe the Devil, and I've been sent to collect it.I have a plane to catch to attend Mayhem. I'll see you all there.Jace gets into his limo as the scene fades to black
