The Shoot
Well well now isn't this just quint..a rematch against Zachariah Blood and The Sentinel. Or do you roll better by The Unforgiven as your name? Doesn't matter. What matters is what is coming your way this week.
I didn't come to play around with your sorry asses this week. I came to APW for one reason and one reason alone. To ascend to the top. I came to make a name for myself all over again. I may be in a brand new fed with several people I've never faced before..but you know what? That just adds to the challenge for me. I know there are people in this fed who have heard of yours truly, Mr. Executive himself, Brian Hollywood. The Unforgiven? Their mistake is not knowing who I am. I take pride in exposing people for their mistakes. Their mistake? Underestimating me.
Everyone has a starting point. It doesn't matter if it's a new fed continuing your career or if it's the beginning, the writing is on the wall. It's all the same. I have had a very successful career and I am by no means no where close in being done. I joined APW because I want to prove to people that I can still wow fans and take locker rooms by storm. My name, my reputation proceeds me where I go. I have a reputation to hold up and by God I'm going to make sure I do!
Everyone saw what I did to Gargano last week. I destroyed him. I exposed every single one of his weaknesses in that ring. What were people talking about? My debut controversial incident. I told people I was drugged. I proved just that. I proved that I was a target. People knew I was coming over and you know what? Everyone was threatened by that. Everyone was afraid of the impact that I would make in APW. Hell, for all I know it could have been the Unforgiven who drugged my water. All I've heard about them is talking a lot of shit on my tag team partner since I've gotten here. It's funny, they are concerned more about him than what I am capable of. I suppose it is in their nature to deny any accusations I'm throwing at them. However, point being, I am already being talked about. It wasn't a prodigy and it wasn't a lie. The hype was exactly what was promoted. I have delivered and I have delivered with an iron fist. I'm the guy that gets everyone talking. Did the Unforgiven really even address the biggest excuse in wrestling? No, of course they didn't. I wasn't challenging them to do so. However, it isn't exactly the oldest trick in the book either. In all honesty? The Unforgiven fear what impact they know I'm very well capable of.
This week it's about revenge. Retribution. Let me spell impact out for you guys. Main event. It's only the third time I've been in an APW ring and I'm already in the main event of Meltdown? Say it isn't so. Obviously I'm doing something right. I'm not only impressing the fans, I'm impressing APW Management as well. The Unforgiven, their threatened by that. It's time that yours truly, Mr. Executive himself, upped the ante. I'm very good at what I do and I'm the wrong guy to be gambling with. The Unforgiven wants to bet I'm not worth the time? That's fine and dandy with me. I've taken the time to invest in the two of you. What have you guys done? Oh, that's right, invested too much time in Chris Madison. You may know Chris very well, but you don't know me!
It's time for a little history lesson. If you've studied me, you would know just how much experience I have in tag team bouts. I'm a four time tag team champion. You could pair me up with someone completely random that I don't even know and I would still find a way to coexist with them. On the other side of the spectrum, though, I also have been victim to my best friends turning on me. Take John Pariah for example. Many of you know him, he used to be my best friend until he stabbed me in the back. How about Darin Zion? I grew up with the guy and he even stabbed me in the back! You see, I've played this game before and I know how to properly adapt in these kinds of situations. That's why I'm giving Chris the benefit of the doubt. We don't have to be friends for me to trust hi. However, if we trust each other and work together, I guarantee you we are winning this match. You can bet that as an Executive Promise!
Chris Madison, I know you are wondering just how this match will go down. This time, though, I have Unforgiven's attention. I'm not going to make the same mistake twice. I'm not made that way. I detect all my weaknesses and correct them accordingly. A win over the Forgiven this week would be a definite achievement moving forward. I'm far from predictable and I will prove just why I am not to be messed with.
You want to doubt me Sentinel and Zachariah? Fine. I don't really care. In the end, though, I'm just going to enjoy proving you wrong. I am going to embarrass the both of you in that ring this week and prove just why I belong in APW. Last week I promised to make an example out of Gargano. I did just that. This week, it's time to show the doubters just why they have already lost this week. It's not rocket science how this works. I feed off of uncertainty from others. I take advantage of any situation and I will do nothing short of that on Meltdown. Unforgiven may only look past their matches to the next..but I take it one match at a time. Anyone who knows me well enough will know what my motto is and how I define it. I've made a career out of silencing critics. This is simply a walk in the park for me.
Come time for Meltdown, everyone in APW will know my intentions. They will know first hand what I am capable of and they will quickly figure out just how much I care about reputation. They will also see that I back up my shit and that I will be on Asylum or Overdrive in no time chasing more championships to add to my others. Soon, everyone will be talking about Brian Hollywood. They will talk about Brian Hollywood the mega star, not Brian Hollywood the rookie. I've been around the block several times and I'm ready for another huge run.
Chris, this week I am doing you a favor. I'm going to assist you in destroying the Unforgiven. In the end, you'll be thanking me. All Unforgiven is are a couple shit talkers who can't multitask. After I expose each of their weaknesses this week and pick up a victory, you'll be begging me to help you rid them of their stench known as failure. I DARE Unforgiven to bring me their best. I will break each of the two of them down. You can bet that as an Executive Promise! I'll see you guys...soon!
Hollywood's Mansion
6:00 PM
The door to the fridge opens up and Brian Hollywood pulls out two beers. He cracks a couple of bottles open and then shuts the fridge. Hollywood walks back over to the table in his kitchen and hands off a beer to his friend, Niles Omega. Niles grabs the beer and nods his head as Hollywood sits down across from him.
"Ah, nothing like a cold Bud Light to end a busy day." He says.
Hollywood smiles as he holds his Bud Light out and clanks it against Niles'.
"A busy day indeed, my friend."
Hollywood grabs the remote next to him as he turns off the TV located above the fridge. The TV was a nice 52" High Definition screen that was designed to be a relaxing point, but a luxury for any of his guests. Niles was more than a guest, though. He is one of Hollywood's best friends and has been through a lot with him.
"Turning off the TV this early? Something bothering you?" Niles asks.
Hollywood takes a swig of his beer.
"Eh, not really. I just thought we would have a nice quiet conversation for once." Hollywood replies.
"I see. It's just unusual for you to turn it off. Something is usually on your mind when you do that."
"I suppose you know me well Niles. I've learned over the years that I really can't hide anything well from you."
"You want to talk about it?"
Niles takes a swig of his beer as Hollywood looks around the kitchen a moment. Hollywood adjusts himself in his chair as he takes another drink of his beer.
"You know me Niles. I'm always looking to better myself."
"Care to elaborate more on that? Or can I take a stab at it and say it involves APW?"
"You couldn't be more right, I suppose." Hollywood starts to reply. "I don't know, I just feel like I can do more with my career, you know?
Niles nods his head slowly.
"Well you've already done a lot in your career man." Niles says. "I mean, what more can you offer? You've already given your blood, sweat and tears for wrestling."
"I feel like it's not enough. I've given so much to it, it's just what I do. It's always been everything I know. Joining APW, it's like a fresh start for me. I know I can exceed more. I worked hard in making myself into a household name. I'm just not through yet."
"I can respect that." Niles says in agreement. "Your a businessman. You've always been one. You know what people want and you know how to get what you want. If there is one thing I know so far, it is that APW was excited when you joined up with them. That speaks volumes right there."
Hollywood nods again as he takes another swig of his beer. Hollywood was all about the right opportunities. He took risks. That's always been one of the things that has defined him. He knew that no matter where he went, there would always be excitement and unpredictability that would surround him. Hollywood was very well trained in the art of the unknown. His opponents knew that and that scared them to death. He always struck fear into the minds of him being higher up on a card than others. Hollywood always counted on his wits. His intelligence and his strategic abilities have always proceeded his popularity no matter where he went. A lot of Hollywood's success was built on him playing mind games with his opponents.
"Everyone saw my debut against the Unforgiven. Now it's time for them to see the real deal." Hollywood starts to say. "This is only the beginning. Unforgiven want blood? I'll give them blood. Their mistake will be answered with their blood on my hands. Consider it a lesson in messing with greatness."
Niles nods in agreement as both men finish off their beers. Hollywood gets up and walks off determined as the scene fades to black..
