::Across the horizon, the ocean looks to be calm. No large waves can be seen under the bright blue and clear sky. However, as the ocean flows closer to the coast, the waves build and crash against the rocks. Serenity and chaos intermixed in the beauty of nature.::
::It is a this stretch of beach near a rocky outcropping where the calm ocean turns into raging waves that crash against the rocks, that Amy Zing stands, looking over the ocean.::
::She is dressed in a pair of shorts and a tank top, with a pair of sandals. A bikini top is visible under her tank top. Her hair is unbound, whipping behind her in the wind. On her belt is her jian, “the Gentlemen of Weapons” she has been seen with from time to time. The sword, a battle tested family heirloom, is still in its wooden sheath.::
“I come here when I need to think. For some odd reason, the calm of the ocean mixed with the chaos of the waves crashing on the rocks helps me find a balance and focus my thoughts. And, this week, I find myself thinking about the past.”
“You don’t know a bloody thing about me Mannie. So allow me to take a moment to tell you a bit about me.”
::She takes a deep breath and looks up, lost in memory.::
“I think it is safe to say that Amy Zing is not my real name.”
::Her voice takes a very harsh tone.::
“However, I am not going to tell you my real name Mannie, because I do not want to hear it on your tongue.”
::Amy’s voice returns to her normal tone.::
“But I will tell you a bit about me, so you can really understand who is going to be in that ring at the Monday Night Meltdown Supershow.
“I was born in Hong Kong, China when it was still part of the British Empire. In 1999, my family was one among the many that left Hong Kong before Great Britain turned control over to the People’s Republic of China, and moved to the United States and settled in San Francisco.”
“When I was fifteen, I attended my first wrestling show. It was an epiphany, a moment of clarity. I decided to become a wrestler, and as soon as I turned eighteen, I started training. I started in high school and went through college, where I earned Bachelor’s degrees in business management and accounting.”
“I will spare you the details of my debut and early years. Awhile after I started, the fans began to chant “amazing” during my matches. With in a year, I was Amy Zing. It was the fans and the chanting that inspired me to take the name Amy Zing and my catchphrase of “simply Amy Zing”.”
“I have said some form of “simply Amy Zing”, either “show you why” or “prove why” or such in every promo I have done since I took the name.”
“I wrestled in the US, Canada and Mexico, trying to make it to the big time before I was signed to American Championship Wrestling. After ACW shut down, I went back to touring the US, Canada and Mexico and then was signed by Action Packed Wrestling.”
“For the entirety of our rivalry last winter, I came here a lot. Each time I came here, I had one thought, one question I asked myself that just seemed to spiral off into many other questions. That one thought was “why?”.”
“Why is Young Mannie doing this to me?”
“Why is Sienna Harrison seemingly supporting him in everything he is doing?”
“Why isn’t anyone like President Jeff doing anything about this?”
“Why? Is it because I am more popular than he ever was? Is it because I sell more t-shirts? Is it because Sienna’s a giant bitch and I somehow got to be the person she decided to randomly hate? Why did she just decide to hate me? Why?”
“But now Mannie, I am not asking “why?”.”
“What thoughts do you have going through your head as we go to the Monday Night Meltdown Supershow, Young Mannie?”
“Right now, I bet you are feeling pretty confident going into our match.”
::The tone of Amy Zing’s voice takes on an almost joyous, jocular sort of tone as she speaks. It sounds as if she is telling a funny story and repeating a humorous anecdote. Given the subject matter, the effect is less humorous and comes off as disturbing.::
“I mean after all, look at all you managed to do to me last winter when we were feuding. Why shouldn’t you be confident? Why should you be worried about having to get into the ring with me again?”
“Look at all the times you humiliated me.”
“There was our first encounter when your Uncle Charlie cornered me in the back and told me I should give up my dreams as a wrestler to become a prostitute for him. And then, when he was done, you jumped me from behind and just beat me down. Then you went to the ring and tried to justify your actions as if you were blaming me for what happened to your former girlfriend or just not liking me for some other reason or what excuse you needed to justify your actions. And I wondered why you were doing all of it, targeting me and picking a fight.”
“And then, after I got a little payback, you got Sienna Harrison to protect you by keeping me from really doing anything against you and pretty much tying my hands.”
“And of course, you followed that with the best, just most super thing you could have ever done in the whole wide world. You abducted my parents and had Alec jump me from behind and attack me.”
“Then you went on to win the North American Championship and retained it against me with help because during that time, Sienna Harrison decided you needed to be her special Megastar and that she should keep you safe and sound until she decides to dump you or you got drafted. And I got fired.”
::Amy laughs a little bit. It is joyous and amused laughter. She suddenly stops laughing. There is no joy in her eyes or in her voice. All of that has been replaced with things never heard or seen in Amy Zing. It is hate and anger in their purist, most undiluted form. While she has expressed hate and anger for people in her career, it has never been this intense, this pure.::
“Do you still think you shouldn’t be worried about the Meltdown Supershow? Do you still feel confident?”
“See Mannie, we both know that the confidence and arrogance you showed against me was because Sienna Harrison went out of her way to protect you. She bent over backwards to keep me from really getting my hands on you. I was not just fighting you last winter. I was fighting against you and her as well. So when you get right down to it, I never had much of a chance against the two of you, did I?”
“We both know that your confidence is a lie. Despite whatever you say, the entire world knows that you, this self-proclaimed tough guy, a future main event star in his own mind, had to hire Alec Quartermain to protect you from a woman half your size. The entire world saw that you were scared, terrified of a woman half your size. You can say that you were not afraid of me all you want, but everyone saw it in your eyes and heard it in your voice.”
“Right now Mannie, you should be very scared. You should be very worried, because Sienna cannot protect you or any member of your entourage from me. The health and physical well being of you, Uncle Charlie, Alec Quartermain, and Jacinta Perez are not in your hands. They are in mine. And as far as I am concerned, the health and well being of Charlie, Alec and Lady are forfeit. Leave them behind or tell them to run, because at Meltdown, there is nothing that can save them.”
“Why? Because for the first time since last winter, I can do anything I want to you and them without fear of being fired. And I swear to Lord Buddha, himself, that if she pulls anything like she did last winter, there will be no force on this on this Earth or in Heaven and Hell, that will prevent me from finding her and ending her, right there. And I will not lose a second of sleep about doing it, just like I will lose no sleep over anything I do in that ring against your or your crew.”
“Do you really think I am coming to Meltdown to try and gain a victory over you?”
“Do you honestly think I care about putting you down on the mat and getting a pinfall or submission?”
“After the crap you pulled last winter, all the things you did to my family and I, do you think that a three count or you tapping out is going to just magically make everything all better?”
“You are out of your damn mind if you think that a pinfall or submission is going to be “good enough”, that a win is going to satisfy me.”
“Mannie, I am not coming to win. I am not coming to gain a three count over you. I am not even coming to get a submission victory over you, because I don’t have a submission hold move to use on you. No Mannie, I am not coming to win.”
“I am going to walk into the Monday Night Meltdown Supershow, into the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida with the goal of paying you back for every single thing you did to me and my family last winter.”
“I do not give a bloody damn about getting a pin over you. I do not want a pin over you. I do not even want you to tap out. No. I am going into that ring and I am going to keep kicking your worthless, big, fat, arrogant head until it either comes clean off and lands in the stands, spraying the ring and crowd with blood, or you stop twitching. I will not stop until the referee pulls me out of that ring.”
::There is no hint that she means anything less than she says. There is no change in the anger and hate in her voice or in her eyes. This is not the Amy Zing that finds something she can admire and respect about an opponent and goes off one the occasionally rambling during a promo. She is more focused than she has ever been in her entire career.::
“So yes Mannie, you may be able to get the win over again, but it will be a pyrrhic victory. You will barely survive this as they pull your beaten carcass out of the ring.”
“Oh? Does that sound a little too violent? Does that sound a little too out of character for me to have said?”
“Well maybe I am not exactly feeling like good old nice and polite Amy Zing at the thought of me getting one shot to get into the ring with you, confident that for the first time ever, Sienna Harrison will not, and cannot protect you.”
“Unlike you Mannie, I am not one to brag or boast. My parents, the people you abducted, taught me to always try to be polite and respectful. For better or worse, I tried to retain that in wrestling. I have never the type to brag or boast. People seem to think it makes me weak or that it somehow shows I lack passion or drive or something. I just do not see the point in boasting or bragging.”
“Mannie, this is not boasting when I say I am coming to Meltdown and I do not care about the win. It is not bragging when I say that I am going into that ring to hurt you. It is a promise. It is not bragging or boasting when I say that I will never give up. I will keep fighting until I have nothing left.”
::When she first debuted and wrestled Aubrey Parker, she did have a level of hate in her voice. However, that was mixed with a level of respect towards Parker due to the fact that AJP was able to rise up from being the valet of Evan Harrison/Evan Envi to a wrestler and champion. When she got her hands on Sienna Harrison, there was hate in her voice, but it was mixed with a mocking tone to the Meltdown General Manager. This hate and anger are not mixed with any of those things. They are still pure.::
“At Monday Night Meltdown, you will learn how much passion and desire I have when I show you how passionate my desire to end you on that night is.”
“And then Mannie, it will be your turn to ask “why?”.”
“You will ask yourself why you picked a fight with me.”
“You will ask yourself why you thought you had a shot in Hell of beating me without Sienna Harrison protecting your worthless ass.”
“You will ask yourself why I am not going to stop kicking you in the head again and again and again.”
“You will ask why you thought Alec Quartermain would be able to keep your safe after I take him down.”
“You will ask why bringing Uncle Charlie to the ring with you seemed like a good idea after I break his jaw.”
“You will ask why you did not tell your Jacinta Perez to run like hell or to stay in the back knowing full well I hold her health in well being in less regard then the trash I throw out.”
“You will ask why you thought for even a second, I would allow you to survive this encounter.”
“You will ask why you thought that I would show you or any of your entourage any shred of mercy or compassion after everything you did to me.”
“You will ask yourself why you did not just drop to your knees to apologize and beg for forgiveness.”
“And most importantly, you will ask yourself why you didn’t just run away from this when you had the chance.”
::She shakes her head. The waves continue to crash against the rocks of the outcropping she stands on.::
“No Mannie. You do not get to run away from this. You do not get to apologize. This match will not end on a pinfall or submission. It will end when I allow it to end. I will end after I have made you pay for every single thing you did to me and my family. It will end when I have made you pay for all the things you said last winter about me and my family. It will end only when I grant you the right to stop moving. It will end when I get bored of beating your worthless, arrogant, ass like the little bitch you really are, because at Monday Night Meltdown, you are going to be my bitch!”
“For the first time in my entire career, since I starting calling myself Amy Zing, I really have no interest in “showing why I am simply Amy Zing” or “proving that I am simply Amy Zing”. I am not going out to that ring to show you anything or prove anything to you. I am going out to that ring to end you. I am going out to that ring to make you suffer and bleed before I finally grant you the right to, no, the privilege of dropping at my feet.”
“Are you worried Mannie? Are you sacred?”
::Amy grabs the scabbard of her jian.::
“You should be.”
“Run and I will hunt you down. Throw anyone you want in front of me and I will take them down to get to you. There is no where you can run where I will not find you. There is no one that can save you from me. And there is nothing that will prevent me from ending you in that ring.”
::She slowly draws the blade from the sheath. The blade shines in the sunlight that hits it as she draws the blade fully.::
“You are the sandcastle Mannie. No matter how big or impressive or well built they are, they have no substance. They are weak, easily broken. I am the ocean and the tide is coming. There is not a single force in all of creation that will be able to save you from the destruction that I will rain down upon you.”
::She raises the sword to her face, looking at the polished double-edged blade.::
“When you go on a mission of revenge, you must dig two graves. One is for them, and the other is for yourself. If I am going down, I am not going alone.”
::As she did this past winter when she and Young Mannie first began this feud, she takes the blade and slides it over open hand, drawing her own blood. She closes her hand into a fist and squeezes, letting the blood drip down. With a flick of her wrist, the blood on her blade is flicked off, leaving it clean.::
“For the first time ever Mannie, you step into the ring without the security blanket provided by Sienna Harrison. You, Uncle Charlie, Alec Quartermain and Jacinta Perez are subject to my mercy.”
::She turns from the ocean, the waves crashing on the rocks, and starts walking.::
“And I have none to grant any of you.”
::The scene fades to black as Amy slides the sword back into the scabbard as she walks off the outcropping.::
