The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.
Brothers and sisters, I come to you a broken man. Physically, mentally, spiritually, I am at my wit’s end. I have been in this business far too long to deal with the likes of Evan McDonald attempting to talk down to me like some sort of child. Evan, you sit there telling me how I’ve always been a mediocre wrestler, as if you’ve seen my entire SIX year career? You have no idea what you’re even talking about. I was not always this worn out, Evan; like you, I was once an up and coming superstar in professional wrestling.
Now, my spirit is willing but my flesh is weak. Scars cover a good portion of my body from years of brutal matches with some of the toughest competition there ever was. I was once the champion of a hardcore division of sorts, and at a few times in my career a participant in what I called the Apocalypse Match; essentially, a casket match within the confines of a Hell in a Cell. What have YOU done in your career, Evan? Have you even done a hardcore match in your life? Judging by that pretty little boyish face of yours, the answer is no.
I think you’re grossly underestimating me, Evan. This Monday at the Meltdown Supershow, I’m going to show you just how “bad” I am at this business. I will beat you from pillar to post, and put you out of your misery. You’ll be begging for mercy, and I will show you none. You will never see me coming. When I’m through with you, I will prove once and for all that I am exactly as good as I say I am…and trust me, I’m good.
Everyone thinks I’m all washed up, but I’ll prove them wrong at Meltdown. All of them. After this Monday, I will quickly rise back to my proper place in this company, and establish my dominance at the expense of all who oppose me. I was once a man that everyone needed to keep their eye on, and after Meltdown I plan on getting those eyes back on me. It’s felt cold without the spotlight shining on me, Evan, but you’re gonna help me get that spotlight where it belongs. I will break your spirit, and I will break your flesh.
When all is said and done, you WILL submit. You WILL be broken. Worst of all, Evan McDonald, you will wish you’d never crossed paths with me in the first place. I can be vicious when I want to be, and that’s exactly what I have in store for you. Or so help me, I will break myself trying.
