Pacific Palisades, California
Afternoon…
It’s another gorgeous day outside in Pacific Palisades but inside of Michael Jennings’ upscale residence he is working on business related matters with his manager Robert Hamilton of Hamilton Sports Management. At that point Hamilton gets a message on his phone from APW management about Michael’s next match this week. Hamilton looks at the message and seems a bit distressed over it like something is wrong. He hesitates for a few moments before finally turning to Michael to let him know who he was facing this week on Overdrive.
Hamilton: I want you to take a look at this, Michael.
Michael, who is sitting on the couch, raises an eyebrow upon hearing this from his manager.
Jennings: What is it? Your tone doesn’t seem to happy right now.
Hamilton gulps before slowly responding to his inquiry about the match.
Hamilton: Well you aren’t going to be in the Overdrive Title match this week.
Michael gets up from the couch and has a wild look in his eyes.
Jennings: What the hell are you talking about? I was told I’d be in that match.
Hamilton: Well apparently you aren’t.
At this point Jennings looks like he’s going to go on a homicide spree.
Jennings: Then who the hell am I facing?
Hamilton gulps again before giving a shaky response.
Hamilton: You’re facing Biggs…
Michael looks a bit confused by this.
Jennings: What?
Hamilton: I said you’re facing Biggs.
Upon hearing this Michael picks up his Ipad off of the coffee table in front of the couch and slams it down on the couch. He’s clearly lost it over this revelation.
Jennings: Okay what the hell is going on? I was told specifically something else would be going on. Do you know what’s going on?
Hamilton looks at Jennings and shrugs.
Hamilton: No I do not but I’ll get to the bottom of this.
This comment makes Jennings happy.
Jennings: Good because if you don’t I’m going to APW headquarters and going on a homicide spree.
Hamilton motions for him to calm down.
Hamilton: Let’s not get too drastic…
Michael gives him an exasperated look before going on a rant.
Jennings: That’s not me getting too drastic. That’s me being nice about it. Time after time I get lied to by people and yet everyone wonders why I’m so pissed off all the time. I’ve been getting dicked around for weeks because I’m the most outspoken wrestler here. That’s why this keeps happening. I’m the only one with enough balls to tell it like it is.
Hamilton smiles as he likes the fire he’s seeing from his client.
Hamilton: Yes you are and as my client I’m going to do everything in my power to get to the bottom of this because nobody does something like this to my clients. Hamilton Sports Management will get to the bottom of this. You’re one of your top clients and you shouldn’t be treated this way.
Michael nods his head in agreement.
Jennings: Agreed. Not happy with all of this. Find out what’s going on before I go to APW’s offices and kick Duvall and Jeff’s asses myself.
Hamilton acknowledges this.
Hamilton: Gotcha, on it.
He quickly goes over to make a phone call as Michael heads to the fridge. He opens it up and pulls out a Corona before opening it up and drinking it as the scene fades out.

Around noon…
A few days later Robert Hamilton has returned to Michael Jennings’ house to let him know what he found out when he went to speak to APW management about what happened. Michael lets him in the front door before closing it and locking it back up after the two men shake hands. They head over to the couch and sit down to discuss business.
Jennings: So what did you find out?
Hamilton: There’s nothing I could do. It’s already set.
Michael clearly does not seem pleased to hear that.
Jennings: That’s wonderful news…
Hamilton is hesitant to reply but eventually does.
Hamilton: Do you not want to wrestle Biggs?
Jennings: No, it’s not that. I could give a shit less who they put me in the ring with because I am the baddest wrestler in the company. I go out to the ring to hurt people. However they basically don’t want me anywhere near any of their titles and that pisses me the fuck off.
Hamilton motions for him to calm down.
Hamilton: You need to calm down, Michael.
Jennings: NO! I WILL NOT CALM DOWN! They don’t want me anywhere near their championships since I don’t fit the bill of what they’re looking for. I’m not an ass kisser…or a role model. I don’t think they realize what they have when I’m on the shows. I’m not a role model for anybody and I’m going to tell it like it is from now on. I’m not going to hold back. I’m going to go all out…anytime they put a camera on me and let me talk…
Hamilton: That might not be such a good thing, Michael…
Jennings: Fuck that. I think it’s time somebody grew a pair of balls instead of going the shithead route like Jake Titan did.
Hamilton: You…
Michael motions for him to be quiet.
Jennings: Don’t say a word. Just get the camera crew ready. I’ll say my piece tomorrow night.
Hamilton: Will do.
Robert stands up and starts making a few calls as Jennings stares off with a psychotic look on his face as he scene fades out.

Night…
It’s a dark night in Los Angeles which is the perfect setting for this scene. In the middle of an alley in West Los Angeles Michael Jennings walks on screen with Robert Hamilton out of the darkness past the graffiti covered trash dumpsters and walls. He stops in the middle of a dimly lit part of the alleyway as the camera zooms in on him. Michael looks at the camera with an angry expression as he begins to speak.
Jennings: I should be facing Evan Envi again…
He briefly pauses and sighs before continuing.
Jennings: He’s leaving the company and I told him it never would be over. I said I was going to kick his ass and I did. And what do I get in return? I get demoted and taken out of the match just so management can “appease” someone else. I should be facing you, NOT Havok or Knox. We have unfinished business yet Mr. Duvall, the same Alexander Duvall who endorsed me at the pay-per-view, took me out of the match which makes no sense especially after that happened.
He glares at the camera.
Jennings: Instead I’m stuck in a match against Biggs…
He has a look on his face that conveys both anger and annoyance. He’s clearly pissed over this and is in an angry mood.
Jennings: Don’t get me wrong. I have a lot of respect for the guy but I WANT Envi in that ring again. Why the hell is Havok in there and not me? None of this makes any sense which is what bothers me. Things like this are why I rail on this company and its fans week after week on national television yet you people still wonder why I do that. Things like THIS are why.
Go back and watch what happened. There’s no reason for me to not be in the Overdrive Championship match. In fact I have more reason to be in that match than either Knox or Havok. What the hell has Havok done to get in a title match other than suck the bosses’ dick on national television? NOTHING! What has Knox done? He LOST to Gooch at the pay-per-view and STILL gets put in a title match over me?! GIVE ME A BREAK! This is the kind of stuff that alienates your talent pool to the point where they want to leave your company. Does that compute to any of you fans and wrestlers out there? Does that make any sense to any of you? If not then you must be a fucking idiot because it makes perfect sense to me. It’s a complete conspiracy against me and I’ll tell you why.
First off I’m the most outspoken wrestler in this company.
His manager Robert Hamilton nods his head in the background.
Hamilton: Yes you are.
Michael smiles briefly before continuing his monologue.
Jennings: Yes I am. And being that way pisses a lot of people off. Do I care? No…until it directly affects my career. This time that’s happened. You see management is cracking down on wrestlers who are speaking out against anything and I’m at the top of the list. Myself and Stefan Raab actually…
He points to his Vox Populi black T-shirt as Hamilton interjects to begin addressing the audience about what is going on with his clients.
Hamilton: My clients are being unfairly targeted by management because my clients are the only honest, upstanding members of the APW roster. We here at Hamilton Sports Management think there should be an inquiry into this unfair treatment of my clients. Michael has done nothing to warrant not getting another match against Envi. Both wrestlers want to fight again so WHY are the fans being denied this rematch? Why is management handing out title shots when my client deserves to have another match with Envi? This makes no sense to us and we are vehemently protesting this decision because of what an upstanding citizen my client is. We do not agree with this decision and we here at Hamilton Sports Management will do everything in our power to make sure our client gets what he both deserves and was promised.
Michael nods his head in agreement with what his manager said before he chimes in some more with his feelings on the matter.
Jennings: That’s right. Jennings versus Envi II is money ANYWHERE in the world. Hell I’m facing Johnny Rebel on the last Meltdown show and Rebel Child over in PW in two weeks and why’s that? Because I draw MONEY. This is an undeniable fact yet I keep getting overlooked around here because I’m not in The League. I’m not in the New Sindicate nor am I in the Synndicate. Hell I’m not even in the NBK anymore. I’m not in ANY group, I have no backing from management apparently, and I always seem to get the short end of the stick. Why? Because everyone here is afraid of me. They all KNOW what kind of a man I am. They KNOW what I do in the ring. I’m not going out there to entertain the masses. I’m going out there to kick people’s asses and send them to the hospital. THAT’S WHAT I DO! I don’t go out to that ring to dance around or act like some pandering clown to the fans. I don’t care about the fans or winning matches. All I care about is hurting people and the person I want to hurt the most is Evan Envi. Yet I’m denied that because Havok goes on television and bitches about Envi. Reality check, assholes. I’VE BEEN DOING THAT FOR WEEKS! FUCK HAVOK! So what the hell is the status quo around here? Every time someone complains they get a title shot? GIVE ME A BREAK! It’s logic like that is killing this company, bottom line.
Why in the hell is this kind of shit going on? Alexander Duvall rails against Envi and his behavior prior to our Test for the Best match. Then we have the match of the night against him and how am I repaid by him? BY BEING TAKEN OUT OF THE OVERDRIVE TITLE PICTURE! Why the hell should I even want to care about this place anymore after that? HOW?! I bust my ass week in and week out in that ring and guys who do less than I do get pushed to the top while I get stuck with the shit they don’t want to deal with. I heard there were going to be changes to APW and the first one was losing Meltdown…okay, how is that going to help anything? Secondly there’s this big crackdown on troublemakers…yeah, that’s not the issue at hand. Thirdly there’s the fact that anybody who is in good with management, like Havok is with President Jeff, is going to get whatever they want…
THAT’S THE ISSUE WITH THIS PLACE! That’s the root cause of why wrestlers are leaving here left and right. Why the backstage area is tense and why a lot of our talent is in a foul mood all the time. There’s people around here who get all the breaks while some of us get shit on despite being some of the hardest working talents you have here in the ring week after week and yet get no respect for it at all. That’s why I hate this place and that’s why I hate you all. That’s why I am so outspoken against management and their cronies. That’s why I say the fans are fucking idiots on national television on a weekly basis. Things like that are going to get somebody’s ass kicked, bottom line.
The thing is I have a real problem with authority. I think is why I don’t like it here. There’s too many of these authority figures and powers that be running around here thinking that they own the joint. People like The League, the New Sindicate, the Synndicate, and every General Manager not named Stefan Raab. People who like to CONTROL things around here. People who’s egos are so inflated it’s sad. These are the wrestlers that the fans are told to look up too. These are their heroes who these fans cheer for like trained circus seals on a weekly basis. That is why I view you people as weak…
Weak and pathetic.
He snarls and glares angrily at the camera. Michael is on the verge of going off the deep end as he continues his monologue.
Jennings: Kind of like my opponent this week Biggs. Now Biggs is a man who should be main eventing on a weekly basis. Instead he’s stuck working in matches that go nowhere just because he isn’t as marketable as he once was. Hell here’s the bottom line about this. He’s beneath me just like Amy Zing is and Ellis Graham was yet somehow I got screwed when facing them. The ref made a clear fast count when I lost to Zing just like when I lost to the Emerald Assassin in a match I shouldn’t have been booked in to begin with considering I had a big title match coming up and had already wrestled twice that week. Not to mention that my ex-girlfriend is the one who made the challenge to Evan Envi and I had nothing to do with any of that mess yet I find myself in that match which OF COURSE I get screwed in. Then to top it off Jewel leaves yet I’m stuck dealing with her bullshit just like now I’m facing Biggs because Nathanial Havok whining like a BITCH and all of a sudden he gets a title match. Give me a break. So maybe I should come on here and bitch like he did so I get what I want.
But that’s not going to happen because he has President Jeff in his back pocket and I don’t. Now let’s analyze Havok’s little bitch session. He called Envi a selfish, slimy son of a bitch. Havok, that’s you in a nutshell. Then you say you’re going to rise like a phoenix and said you were awakened. You also said you created the League to end politics here in APW…
At this point he finally explodes and goes on a tangent about the subject matter. His facial expression is tense and full of hate as he continues to rant about Havok.
Jennings: THAT’S FUNNY CONSIDERING WHAT HAPPENED IS ALL POLITICS! Politics against me favoring you because you’re on the good side of management. You kissed their ass and instead of me getting my hands on Envi again YOU get to face him and not me. Funny how that works. You’re against something yet it’s clearly being used in your favor and not in mine. Funny how that happened since it’s been happening week after week and that’s why wrestlers are getting fed up with this place and want to burn this motherfucker to the ground. Guys like The Black Hand who have the balls to come on national television and tell it like it is and if you don’t like it tough shit because they, like me, will continue to tell it like it is. There’s people pissed off with management not named Raab and things like this are why. I damn near KILLED Envi and what do I get in return? NOTHING! Nothing at all because I’m not an ass kisser. I’m not what management wants. I come out here week after week and tell it like it is. They don’t want someone who drops pipe bombs on a weekly basis to be the face of the company. Instead they want some yes man like Havok who’s going to say and do what they want. Someone they can market to the masses who fits what they want because he along with The League was endorsed by President Jeff.
He points to himself as he continues his monologue.
Jennings: That’s not me! I’m not some puppet who’s going to say and do what they want because that’s not how I operate. I’m not going to come out here and pander to the fans like some politician pandering for votes like they want all of their top representatives to do. Now before all of you idiotic, moronic, subhuman fans get all over my case on Twitter and on social media let me point out a few things to you right now. Firstly Mr. Enigma, who’s only been around for maybe two weeks and wrestled two matches one of which was a dark match, gets a Suicide Title shot right off the bat? Give me a break. But that’s not all folks. William D. Williams, who’s been mostly off television for over a month, and Emerald Assassin, who had to cheat to beat me, get a Tap Out Title Shot?! Yeah, that doesn’t make any sense either. Not to mention the Tag Team Title match where Foul Play, the number contenders, AREN’T EVEN IN THE MATCH! Instead two teams who just BARELY got promoted this week to Asylum this week get shots. The Xtreme Champion is facing a guy who hasn’t wrestled in MONTHS and is having his first match back. Albeit it is a non-title match WHY is he put in the ring with a champion right off the bat? WHY?! It’s the same thing that happened when Hades came back and got an immediate title shot. Then to top all of that the fans DON’T get to see what they want. They want to see ME versus Envi which we all know they want to see. Instead Knox and Havok get the shot at his belt. Give me a break. As I mentioned earlier I damn near killed that mother fucker yet I get NOTHING in return for it which is why I’m so pissed off right now. I left him laying in a pool of blood yet people don’t get to see the rematch. That doesn’t make sense either considering Duvall ENDORSED me on Test for the Best before the match but then picks someone else over me for the title match and Envi’s last match here in APW. It’s stuff like this that’s why APW is going down the toilet.
Instead of kicking Envi’s ass one last time and sending him out of APW in style instead I’m facing Biggs as I mentioned earlier. Biggs is a legend here in APW, part of this company’s Mount Rushmore. Do I care? Hell fucking no. Why? Because I should be facing Envi and sending him out in style instead of facing you Biggs and everybody KNOWS IT. But instead I’m facing you in some match that nobody will remember that should be on a pay-per-view instead of some weekly show that everyone will forget about it in a week or so and why should they care? This is a nothing match on a weekly show. As usual with my matches it’s not promoted, it’s not cared about by the fans because this is a match isn’t the one they want to see me in, and as usual I’ll probably be stuck making someone else look good. Why? Because I had the balls to say what a lot of people are too afraid to say. That the League sucks, that the Sindicates suck, that the general managers not named Stefan Raab are fucking idiots, and because I called the fans the scum of the Earth. That’s what I’ve said. Does it make me a bad person? No. it just means I tell it like it is and if you don’t like it tough shit.
Michael starts pointing his finger at the camera as he continues ranting and raving about his match that he clearly isn’t happy about being in.
Jennings: Biggs, I’m telling you right now that I am going to hurt you. I don’t give a crap about winning this match. I’m going out to that ring to send a message. Apparently management is looking for someone to challenge Level One at Shockwave and I’m going to send a message by kicking your ass and pinning you or making you submit in the center of the ring. But despite doing that I know I’m not getting a title shot. I know that since Havok’s already the handpicked challenger since he’s Jeff’s poster boy since he’s the one who get Jeff to endorse the League in the first place. But then again I’m not telling you all any revealing information since you all knew that anyway. The fact is Biggs no matter what happens I’m not going to be the Chosen One so to speak so I really have no reason to even show you any mercy. I’m taking all of my anger and all of my frustration out on your ass! I should be in the Overdrive Title match and the fact that I’m not MAKES ME SICK! It pisses me off because we wanted one more match and it might never happen now so thanks a lot for that, Duvall. Biggs will be thanking you too when he calls you from his hospital room to inform you of how bad his injuries are after this match.
Spaceman Biggs is going to be thinking he’s in space after I get through with him. Biggs, this IS NOT the week you want to be stepping into the ring with me. I’m pissed off, angry, and want to beat the shit out of someone. With your past concussion issues you should be VERY worried about that because I will target. Sure you’re a former Undisputed Champion, Overdrive Champion, and Overdrive GM but I could care less about all that. All I care about is kicking your ass and that’s EXACTLY what I plan on doing. I’m not going out to the ring to win. I’m going out to send a message and it will be heard loud and clear. I’m not fucking around. I’m not here to sell merchandise or to entertain the audience. I’m here to inflict pain. That’s what I do. I hurt people in that ring and that’s what I’m going to do to you, Biggs. This week is going to be your nightmare. I’ll see you in Hell, Biggs. Au revior.
He turns and storms off into the distance with Hamilton as the scene fades to black.
