The Shoot
So this week I'm wrestling in a battle royal match. A battle royal...to prove myself?! Honestly, how many times am I going to have to be put through this? Obviously, APW management hasn't seen enough from me. Ok, that's fair considering I just got here. However, I've been throwing down pretty well on Meltdown. One loss? That's not bad. Let's not forget about those whiny little bitches, The Unforgiven, who can't seem to win a clean match when I'm involved. Who, by now, must already look really worse then they started out. Anytime you face me, I make damn sure I either humble you or I just flat out beat you and embarrass the shit out of you. Either way works for me because its a win win for me in the end.
That brings me to this battle royal this week. Let's be honest here, just about how long does it take for the average wrestler to make it to Overdrive or Asylum? A little while at my calculations. Sure, Meltdown ended. I'm still here, though, aren't I? Point is, I'm making waves here in APW like I said I was going to do. I'm a man of promises. Promises that I announce are promises I make sure I make. In regards to this week, I will win this battle royal thus proving that I can handle whatever APW throws at me. This week, my opponents are some old foes and some complete new ones.
First off there's Joseph Johnson. Jesus Christ where do I even begin on this one? A man who seems to be in the match but is not really in the match. Let me explain this one a bit easier for everyone. Mr. Johnson thinks he's fighting in a battle royal. However, just really do you think your mind is at anyways? I know for a fact you are not ready for this battle royal. Simply put, you can't even figure out everyone fighting in the match! You think you covered your bases on all your strategies for everyone in this match? I don't think so! You definitely forgot one crucial man in this battle royal..me! Just like people underestimate me and think they've won..you've gone off and done something completely more stupid! Forgetting about me is not going to help you win this battle royal. In fact, I'll help you out nicely by eliminating you from the match first! You want to be taken seriously Joseph, yet you can't take the match itself seriously. For that, I'm afraid, you've already lost. You can try all you want, but in your current state of mind, I will be a complete surprise to you. You can bet that the element of surprise always gets you counted out. I hope you can accept defeat easily after I throw you over the top rope. I will look on smiling when you look upon your eliminator and slam your head into a wall for costing yourself the match because of another competitor you failed to realize was in the same match as you!
Then there's Wyatt Crash. Another man I'm not too familiar with. I can't say that isn't a bad thing for me. I actually enjoy a fresh challenge with a man I hardly know. I may study my opponents out of the ring, but I find it very entertaining and challenging to figure them out in the ring as well. I will tell you this right off the bat Crash, because I'm a nice guy. I will get in your head. If you don't think that will happen, then I'm sorry that you didn't study up on the kind of man I am. It will be a disturbing wake up call for you. However, I enjoy enlightenment and I enjoy helping people figure that out about me. Like I said, I'm a nice guy. At Overdrive, you will find out just how nice of a guy I can get.
Ah yes...Chris Madison. The biggest most overrated hype of a jackass. You know, you and I have been dancing since day one that both of us arrived in APW. We both received a lot of hype and praise for our inevitable arrivals. Here's the problem though. You thinking you could dance better than me. We could have easily worked together to debunk the ranks of APW superstars who stood in our way. Instead, you chose to attack me and go off in your own little stable. Do you really believe that stable is going to get you very far Chris? Let's be honest, you haven't exactly done much since you got here. Talking a whole lot of shit on me isn't really proactive you know. In fact, I think your spending way to much time talking shit on me than your actually spending strategy in how your going to win this match. Simply put, I think your a sellout Chris. Who am I to talk though? It's not like any of this will ever sink in with you. So really, the only thing I can really do is make it sink in. I will, too. You say this is the time to shut up and prove I have what it takes? I accept your challenge. I accept it so much that after I beat your ass all over that ring, I will personally throw you over the top rope. I'm not much of a hypothetical kind of guy, but more like a realist. I have no problem proving it once again to you that I am better than you. I've gotten the better of you almost every week since we both have been in APW yet all you really have done is attack me and left me for nothing in that ring. You got the better of me behind my back? Wow, way to go Chris! It's too bad you can never do that in a straight up fight between the two of us! What, hit a nerve? Good. In the battle royal, I will be hitting every nerve in your body. Just accept it Chris. I will always be better than you. It's time for you to stop making excuses for yourself and accept it. You should have joined up with the Unforgiven because all they do is complain all the time. You guys have a lot in common. It's scary. Maybe you'll get a dose of scary after I eliminate you and you see your career here in APW begin to tank ever so quickly.
Then we have the all powerful...Jerry Matthews? Just what the hell have you done for yourself lately? Last time I met you in that ring, I beat you. By what? DQ? Yea, pathetic, I know. It's too bad you had the Unforgiven on your team, too. It seems like those guys can't accept the fact that I'm way better than them. So much that they get themselves disqualified. Shame. Of course, you don't have to worry about those sorry excuses for wrestlers this week. This week, you can actually look out for yourself. I know that's what you usually do..but let's be frank here. You have nothing going for you in this battle royal. Since when does the great Jerry Matthews have to prove himself in a match? Is APW losing confidence in you? What exactly is going on with you? The way I see it, your losing confidence in yourself. All that care about no one but yourself think seems like it's finally taking it's course on you. Maybe because you know your alone in this match? Maybe your worried what will happen to your career if you lose this match? Look on the bright side, it's only a battle royal. Only? So what's to worry? You've got this thing won easily right? Battle royals are the types of matches that are designed to be fragile. You never know when your time in the match comes to a close. There is no pinfalls or submissions. Only with opponents going over the top rope. So what do you have to worry about really? I thrive in these types of matches because it's opportunity. I am the ultimate opportunist and I wait for the right moment to seize control. It's not rocket science either. The way I see it, I've got things pretty figured out for myself. The only question remains though. Just what exactly do you plan on doing for yourself, Jerry?
And last but certainly not least, there is my newest buddy, Jace Savage. Or in case anyone missed it, the NewGen Rising. It will certainly be a spectacle standing in the ring with you as the final two men in the match. You are indeed a true warrior Jace and a spectacular wrestler. We will prove just why we are the NewGen Rising and what we are all about. It will be a true test to stand face to face with another fierce competitor in the ring. We both are looking for the same thing in this business. I know together we will achieve far great things and that we will prove just why all the other stables are not like us. We may be opponents this week, but it will be a true honor to face off against you in this battle royal where certainly we will prove to everyone and APW just who we are and what we are about. We will tear the roof off Overdrive and prove why we belong in the upper echlion of APW.
It's funny, I bet you all didn't see the NewGen Rising coming did you? Of course not. You all are too distracted by the little things that don't matter anymore that you can't seem to get past. You all have that in common in this match and that's what's going to make it easier for me to win this match. Jace and I will take care of business like we know how to and then we will face off in a true spectacle that will be one for the ages. We are the only two focused people in this match. Chris seems to be too obsessed with beating me and can't see past his own ego. Joseph can't seem to figure out who all is even in this match. Jerry seems to be a ticking time bomb of flopping and Wyatt seems too much focused on the end match instead of how he's going to reach the end. So you see, there's too much distractions to even count. That's why none of you will be standing in the end with me. It will be Jace and Jace seems just as focused as me. He knows what it feels like to constantly have to prove himself. He knows how it feels to not be taken seriously. He knows just as important this match is for him to win that it is for me to win. That is why we are focused on the end game and that's why it will be him and I fighting it out to see who the victor will be in the end.
The NewGen Rising doesn't need excuses. We don't make them, we enforce our own code. The rest of these stables don't have what we have. That is the uniqueness to be. We are more than a group and we will prove why we will define what stable really means.
This week, the excuses end. I will personally put each and every one of your excuses to sleep after this battle royal concludes. I am the ultimate opportunist and I will prove once again why I am destined to be at the top of APW. I will once again make another promise come true after my hand is raised in victory. I will make it an Executive Promise to make sure that any and all outstanding excuses get turned back into the faces of the accusers who made them. I will silence the excuses...along with the accusers from whence it came. It ends Thursday night. I am not wasting my time in excuse land where I have to put up with people who can't get higher up in the rankings because of the excuses they make for themselves. After Thursday, I set my sights on climbing the APW ladder and that I will be stopped by no more bad rungs. The Executive journey continues as I sore up the rankings and to my rightful place. At the top of APW! You can bet that as an Executive Promise!
Yours truly, Mr. Executive himself, Brian Hollywood's journey...shall continue!
