Hey everybody, show is posted. Big thanks to Kash, Envi, Reaver, and Guv'nor for writing matches.
Also, thanks to TMarv, Raab, AJP, Zachariah Blood, Keaton Saint, Guv'nor, Young Mannie, Logan Alexander, and Ron Rufio for segments.
I'll be honest, this show was a bit harder than normal to put together, so I may be instituting some new policies in terms of segs. I had to use scratch paper to try and keep everything in order! Also, with all the in-ring segments, it made it slightly difficult to get things rolling. I think another thing that bit me in the behind was the fact that I accept segs so close up to intended posting of the show. Considering that I have Church and teach Sunday School every Sunday, would anybody be opposed to me moving the Match and seg deadline to 3 pm Eastern/ 12 pm Pacific, so that I could have a little bit more time to work things out to try and make the 7 pm E/ 4 pm posting I had going for a while?
Also, I'll be posting the card for the next show tomorrow before I fly out for Hawaii.

I'll give feedback proper when I get a chance, but as for the deadline I'm happy to support whatever helps you out Biggs. I did an in-ring segment with Mannie, so sorry if that frazzled things. I'm sure it's been noticed I do a lot of in-ring segments with Guvnor, but I just get that live crowd interacting vibe with him. Maybe a development point for me.
That said, maybe there should be a limit on in-ring segs per show, maybe 2 maximum- and they have to be booked with you. That way, it means you get to set out your in-rings early in your planning GM and it encourages people to think early about segs too. Some people will hate that because they like to work last minute, and I'm guilty (tonight and Meltdown case in point) of leaving it late and I know it can be to the detriment of a) what I want to do/try to achieve b) causes unnecessary problems for the GMs.
Anyway, I wouldn't be against some sort of early segment idea submission. Maybe you don't have to get your segments in 24 hours before (with RP deadline then people will gripe), but at least let the GMs know the night before a show a) if you are going to do a segment, b) what kind of segment (e.g. collab, solo, backstage, in-ring), then GMs can say whether it needs to be revised or what not (e.g. too many in-ring segs)

Thoughts on Asylum:
-I like the idea of Raab opening the show, boasting away as he does. The segment was written in past tense, it should be in present for shows. Interesting to see some of the OOC converted into kayfabe boasts. Could have been awkward, but I think Raab managed it well enough.
-Interesting segment involving The Unforgiven and Michael Jennings. I’ve not got a lot to say because it feels like this is probably the start of something, although I hope the Jennings settles down and sticks to whatever is going on here. Curious about how this impacts the tag team with Raab.
-Despite some of the sourness in the T4TB aftermath, irrespective of what anyone thinks (I haven’t read any RPs for T4TB mind, so I have no opinion), Terry deserves to complete a full calendar year as champion. One thing is obvious, whoever beats Terry will go over HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE!
-I’m starting to empathise with Biggs as we’re onto the third in-ring segment of the night. Terry leaves and out comes The Dying Breed. Absolutely nothing against those boys, just unfortunate timing, but that’s 3 in-ring segments from the first 4 spots. Oh, they’re actually in the first match. No problem with the pre-match promo, but this might have worked better if it was cut backstage, then the commercial, then into the match. Bit of continuity issue with the Meltdown commentators, but I’ll put that down to TDB being so much on Meltdown of late they just got confused ;-p
-Tag Titles. Different start to the match, but I like it, gives the heels early heat. Solid enough match, and both challengers came out decent. It did end a bit abruptly, and I think The Unforgiven could have been given a real rub by working the champs over a bit more before the finish.
-NewGen. This probably sounds like I’m targeting NewGen, I’m not. This segment, I think, should have focussed more on what NewGen were going to do on Asylum, rather than just hyping what they are doing elsewhere. Also, Rufio I’d consider a colour change, purple is hard to read against black.
-Germany v Scotland, this is the sort of ridiculous thing I would expect from Raab being in charge. Solid match and both dudes got a good showing. The post-match was good, exactly the sort of disgraceful behaviour you’d expect from a man who prides himself on being APW’s most hated man.
-This is an interesting turn of events with AJP. I cracked up when she had Tyler read typed messages from her phone. Brilliant. I can’t wait to see where this goes next.
-It’s sad news to hear about Keaton Saint retiring at Shockwave. He’s been such a powerful presence, and someone said to me recently about Y2J having the ability to put someone over just by talking to them; in that sense Keaton is APW’s Y2J. Just one segment with this guy and you feel your character has made it. Bravo Keaton, you will be missed.
-KJE v Enigma wasn’t a bad match, but it didn’t exactly have the ‘Suicidal Title’ stamp all over it. The match should have had some hardcore elements, even though it doesn’t have to descend into an all out blood bath.
-I like Tyler Harrison’s signature goofy high five. Stick to that. But what sweet nothings could AJP be whispering into Blood’s ear- oh wait, I’ve seen the card for the next show!
-Nice to see Reaver and Mannie getting a main event spot, and it does a good job of showcasing their talents. Oh wait, here comes The Fuhrer. You have to love a megalomaniac. I suspect Reaver will be going bat shit crazy over this. How over is Raab right now? I never thought I would say that, but congratulations to you- great work!
-Hmmm....that about sums up my reaction to the closing segment. Colour me curious.
Interesting show, lots of stuff going on, and with a short turnaround (just 2 more Asylum shows) I’m curious to see where things will go. Show was top heavy with in-ring segments, but after the tag title match I think the show flowed really well. Kudos to Biggs for that.

It's always been a huge problem of mine when it comes to segments is writing it in past and not present tense. I don't know how I can improve with that but I try my best to figure out how to change them to present tense. Plus my net kept on cutting out that day as well so I had no time to proof read or put the commas in.

Raab, if your net keeps cutting out, you can just write something in a word document and once its done, copy and paste it quick

NotePad is a smaller program and it's simple, easy to use and worked for me for years. I use my own forums now but the copy/paste coding is horrible from invision to proboards now.

Damnit GOV!! I wrote the Suicidal match...and thought nothing of it needing some hardcore stuff...Maybe cause KJE was involved? I dunno, maybe that was my inner sexist? I hope not, I'd like to believe I'm not sexist but damn. My bad on that one!

My Two Cents... Well I am proud to say for the first time since 2010 I have read a full show of written results; and I have to be honest with I say this. That show was freaking awesome. I mean from the get-go I was hooked and can you say DRAMA? Like where do I even start? I'm talking about from Raab's opening "State of the Asylum" address to the APW Universe to AJP & T-Marv getting a little too close? But if I had to choose and had to pin point my most favorite segment, it would have to be... Michael Jennings meeting The Unforgiven. Now I will be the first to say I haven't haven't been able to keep up with everyone else's storylines but that segment alone did not only sell me on the Unforgiven but also on Jenning's character whom I still have some what of a track on. It was really interesting to read and visualize the interaction and how much Jenning's character has already taken a twist while debuting on the Asylum brand. It's something I can't wait to keep up with myself. So as I continue on with my review though; I think the matches this were good but some of them could've been better, for instance...I do agree with Guvnor on the Suicidal match lacking the Xtreme violence that's suppose to already be there but never the less, it was a good one. But moving on if I had to choose one match from the card that was my favorite to read this week on Asylum, then it would be... The Tag Title match.Hey what can I say...I'm a sucker for good ole fashion tag-team action, but really I think the match itself told a good story in and out of the ring for the Champs. Their pre-match segment was cool to read/visualize because come on? Who can't see Bailey & J-Hop modestly gloating about being the last to stand in the Faction Warfare "Trend". Yeah I said it! But those two; well I really should be saying those three, when you also count in The Smooth One, who have genuinely stood the test of time as a stable/tag team despite both divisions going up & down in membership in recent months. So kudos & S/O to TDB. Welp...that's my Two Cents! So before I go; if you still haven't gotten anything from this, then by all means. Keep the change! -TMA P.S.@ jules: i wrote the main event and raab and mannie can even tell u that it was my idea to do that. i really thought it would help push raab where his character needed to be. hope my match writing skills werent too bad since its been yrs since i wrote a match BTW I want to publicly thank Reaver for writing the match, I will admit at first when he volunteered I was skepitkal but damn it was better than expected. It was fun to read and it got more fun by the end. So Kudos to Reav's on job
