I walked away from the triple threat featuring Adam Mumford and Anthony Washington because that was beneath me. The most important match was given to me because Level One has disgraced this company ever since signing on back in 2009. For four years he may have had MOTY accolades and many title achievements. But, he hasn't earned my respect. He doesn't deserve my respect. In the Home Game Arcade in Raleigh, North Carolina I survey my surroundings. Quite fitting as no longer shall we be stuck with Level One. The next level is around the corner. It only takes good concentration and quote unquote in ring ability. Wiping my brow before I see a kid following his mother with a big bucket of quarters to play various games. I look at the kid kind of briefly before snatching a quarter from his bucket.
Kid || Mom! That man stole my quarter.
♂Joseph Johnson|| Is this the way to your heart Lester? Hell, I thought you were a dinner and a movie type of guy. Clearly I don't look like the type to play games. But, i'm a sucker for the classics Pacman and Mrs. Pacman will never go out of style. I wish you would have not toss aside that World Heavyweight Championship the way you did. I don't care about what mental state you're in. You could have the ebola virus for all I care. You don't treat the richest prize in this company like trash. Because you are the definition of trash. You make the fans sick. The way they look at you is the same look I used to get. Before I converted my cockiness into a much needed rebirth. I became their “Innovator of Excellence” not siding with the fan favorites or the filth like you. I started in this business just like you, along the way I had bumped my head a couple times. Then I truly realized that people weren't the problem. I was the problem. Night after Night I said some terrible things to get into people's head. At one point I would do anything for a championship opportunity. But, now I see the honor of earning one. I will be the honorable one in handing you another loss and i'll be rewarded with a shot at Shockwave™.
I twirl the quarter between my fingers. My message wasn't going to be given in words. It surely would have to be given out in action. Violence only begets more violence. I don't regret my outspoken spirit as this is about the top of the corporate ladder. Many men have sacrificed their bodies for that top spot and this truly is my ticket to the top.

I try to remain unbiased and deliver my message of intent. As the quarter rolls through my palms I ponder. Before snapping out of my trance at the sight of Mortal Kombat 3 ™. I walk up the MK3 arcade machine to insert my stolen quarter. The game comes alive as I pick my favorite character who shares my same characteristics. Johnny Cage....Beware the nut shot.

Our proud, illustrious and valiant World Heavyweight Champion, the man who won the title through hell and high water. Maybe he won it on a coin flip. As he's a man of chance. Despite the fact that he did nothing to earn the title, he likes to walk around and talk like he did. Despite the fact that he has failed to actually act like a true Champion, he still likes to talk like he is. All of this leads me to the simple conclusion that the great Level One is not that great at all but instead just a very good bull shitter. When Level One steps into the ring to make his speeches I get nauseous each and every time. I will give the man credit, he knows how to spin his story and he knows how to circle around an issue and avoid the key facts. Level One likes to alter the truth and stray from the facts of what actually occurs. He’d like you all to believe that he’s a real champion and that he deserves everything that has come his very way. He has brainwashed each and every one of you that has believed him and encouraged this unacceptable behavior that has been on display. Since the powers that be want to egg him on and encourage his antics every week, I’m going to have to take things into my own hands and put an end to it all July 18th. This Thursday I will prove Level One's nothing but cannon fodder and put an end to the misery that has fallen upon Overdrive for the past few months. After Overdrive, a man of honorable intent will arise. The true makings of a Champion will be revealed and once again, I, Joseph Johnson will make Professional Wrestling Excellent.....once more.
I continue to play Mortal Kombat 3 ™ utilizing Johnny Cage to his full ability. Multi tasking will still trying to dig into Level One. Try to make sense of his recent downward spiral. Not, that he could get anymore lower. Yet, he's there and is trying to drag the good APW name down with him. That's not going to fly with me. Not now and not ever.

Is the APW World championship not prestigious enough for you? Blatant disrespect for a company that gave you countless chances. They gave you everything and now you betray their trust. Trying pawn off the championship or sell it on Ebay ™. Do you have any shame? Do you even care about this business anymore? Why show up if you are going to suck the air out of the room? Morale is getting lower and lower as the halls of APW are drying up like the Sahara desert. I'm an overnight sensation as this is my first and it's going to be my only APW run. I'm in it till I can't go any further. As long as I keep my nose clean, body right and keep my mental focus straight. Then there is nothing that can stop me from getting the holy grail. I have danced with wolves and dined with kings. My suffering in my career is enough to last ten thousand lifetimes. Yet, I stand before you Level One not as a worthless peasant, not as your equal I'm simply above you. Being the bigger man in all of this I told you beforehand my intention. I didn't hesitate to tell you like it is. This is my golden ticket. Maybe I had to eat a lot of candy bars to get it. Though in the end Level One that factory of prestige you hold around your waist will be mine. Hell, I might as well be called Charlie because I will own that chocolate factory! And I will make my family proud. And no longer shall poverty and foul meaning be brought on the innocent. You think of me as a puny human or ant. Not knowing that I will scale that bean stalk, steal the golden egg from the gold laying goose and i'll be hailed as a Hero. Because unlike you I love this business. Unlike you I didn't spend my time stuck in realms of fantasy. I embraced reality to achieve everything in my long storied career. ♂Joseph Johnson|| I admit that I planted the seed of perception. How do they perceive you to be as Champion of the World Level One? Are you a tyrant,vigilante or are you a coward? A tyrant is someone who rules with a no nonsense attitude. As a tyrant you dictate your fate. You choose how the story ends and so forth. Quite frankly I don't see you as a tyrant. If you were a true tyrant then Terry Marvin would be a former APW Undisputed champion now wouldn't he. No, but are you a vigilante. Do you take the law into your own hands? Are you going out there doing what you see is right? Maybe that would be the case if you didn't toss aside that World Heavyweight championship. You are but a mere coward in my brave New World. Don't be afraid of my ideals as they will soon be yours. After I pin you on Overdrive i'll look forward to doing it again at Shockwave ™. I feel you are entering your own Great Depression, Lester as your stock will surely crash. While my stock is at a clear point of interest, people want to give me top dollar and i've only had what is it two matches. One, a battle royal which was a proving ground, the other a triple threat that I unceremoniously removed myself from. As on the Meltdown Finale I chose a different path, instead of risking an injury I skipped the match in order to be one hundred percent. So, if you do prove to be Pandora's box then when Thursday night Overdrive opens i'll be the one to have egg on my face. That may be the case if you were the old Level One, this version of you is severely downgraded. This isn't the Level One I saw at Test for The Best, you aren't the same Level One who had wars with “The Last Magician” Sally Talfourd. You are but a mere man behind the curtain. I thought you were a true wizard of Oz. But, the only thing I see is a scared frail shell of something that I thought was Legendary. So, your excuse after suffering yet another defeat will be your mental capabilities. Can you still drive? Can you still fly? Can you still count to three? Hopefully you can find your way to the RBC center which is now called the PNC arena. And hopefully you will remain down for only three seconds. It only takes three seconds to succumb to the man that controls the Game. I hold that joystick in my palms. Maybe, i'll go easy on you because of your condition... Maybe I won't use my finishers.... I know what it's like to be the underdog. But the thing about dogs they have a tendency of biting back. And i'm going to bite down on Level One and won't let go until I eventually am the new....Champion of the World.

I arrived early to the PNC Arena, not wasting anytime to go over a strategy for tonight's match. The boys in the back look at me suspiciously. Like I signed my own death warrant. The thing is I didn't two shits about popular opinion. I gave the fans what they truly wanted to see. “The Innovator Of Excellence” versus “The World Heavyweight Champion” Level One. I didn't claim to be anything i'm not. I only set out to prove my worth. I couldn't name one person that has came into Action Packed Wrestling and in one week is this close to making a statement. No one as Innovative and technically sound as I am. Putting on my ring gear, carefully strapping up my knee with a brace and then surveying myself in a mirror. I start to lounge around before my girlfriend Koryn gets here but then I get a call. It's a surprise to know who's calling me though. The number is all familiar and it's the Action Packed Wrestling Headquarters.
♂Joseph Johnson|| Hello, Mr. President.
The other voice at the other end of the line is of course President Jeff. Whom without his support all this wouldn't bee possible. I don't know the terms of my signing at all. I haven't even asked my lawyers about the specifics. The only thing I want to do is compete. And that's something I will do and that's compete. Day in and Day Out.
President Jeff || Spare me the introduction Joseph. You really had to go do it didn't you... Meltdown was going to conclude and instead of performing you walked out. You did it not only to your fans but the APW organization as well. So, what's your explanation.
I barely thought of the consequences of my actions. It was like a black and white in 3-D something some immaculate it's mind blowing. I don't know how to handle this situation properly at most times. Though many experiences I grew as a person. So, my answer to President Jeff won't be with swears or double innuendo. Merely what i'll tell him is the truth and nothing but.
♂Joseph Johnson|| Look, Mr. President I know that was a big night for the company. But, I couldn't afford the chance of getting injured. You see Anthony Washington isn't going to compete tonight after what Adam Mumford did to him. He's most certainly mad. Don't let that performance cloud your judgment of me. I am the man you want to lead your Overdrive brand to the top. When God put in place a glass ceiling I broke through it without a scratch on me. That's the type of attitude you need in a World Heavyweight champion.
It all clicked into place like a million pieces to a giant jigsaw puzzle. This was my chance to get President Jeff on my side for the better. I want the entire organization to have a true poster boy they can believe in. I had the look, the skill and house hold quality that middle class families could get behind.
President Jeff || I really think you are a great competitor. Your veteran status is something APW needs at a global level. We are impressed with your journey of substance abuse recovery. I see with the right pieces around you that you'll be a great asset to the company. Though, you getting this match with Level One is no excuse for pulling out a scheduled contest. Though the fans who didn't see you on the last Meltdown might have made the trip to Raleigh. I want to know this former Megastar to current Megastar. What made you become a professional wrestler?
Bingo. Of course that was his Name - O. But this was the question and opportunity I was searching for. The chance to lay it down like I want toward the owner of Action Packed Wrestling. The question was like the flood gates opening for a chance to see me succeed in APW.
♂Joseph Johnson|| I was a victim of circumstance Mr. President. The ideals of people body building and all that before transitioning wasn't the case. Truly, I didn't understand what it was like to do something else outside of Football. Until I got hurt drying up any chance at getting into the National Football League ™. So, professional wrestling was a way out of my depression. I felt like Level One is currently. I was out of sight and out of mind. Then this business adopted me as it's own. No, I wasn't some failed NFL hopeful to be honest they knew it knew something I didn't. Hell, I didn't ask to be born a Football star and end up a Wrestling Icon. I only said my prayers, ate my vitamins and dreamt of becoming Excellent. And in away I Innovated the business into what it is today.
I was sure that set me apart from some people trying to make a name for themselves. The other end of the line was silent for a moment. Hopefully I set it straight to President Jeff. That everything I did had a reasonable answer behind it. I've been in this business for awhile now and nothing about me said greenhorn. And nothing about me said a liar either.
President Jeff || Well you clearly know the meaning of surviving, adapting and overcoming any obstacle that stands in your way. I don't want you to feel alone in your tenure here in the APW. What I hope to see from you is something memorable. Hell, not everyday someone shows up out the blue and takes on Level One. You have serious balls man and the APW shareholders expect big first hour ratings when Overdrive kicks off tonight. I don't know if you've ever been subjected to ridicule before. But, don't let it stop you. I know for a fact people said I couldn't be where I am today. But, look at me now. I have a meeting in a few moments so we'll have to cut this short... The other voice at the other end of the line is of course President Jeff. Whom without his support all this wouldn't bee possible. I don't know the terms of my signing at all. I haven't even asked my lawyers about the specifics. The only thing I want to do is compete. And that's something I will do and that's compete. Day in and Day Out.
President Jeff || Spare me the introduction Joseph. You really had to go do it didn't you... Meltdown was going to conclude and instead of performing you walked out. You did it not only to your fans but the APW organization as well. So, what's your explanation.
I barely thought of the consequences of my actions. It was like a black and white in 3-D something some immaculate it's mind blowing. I don't know how to handle this situation properly at most times. Though many experiences I grew as a person. So, my answer to President Jeff won't be with swears or double innuendo. Merely what i'll tell him is the truth and nothing but.
♂Joseph Johnson|| Look, Mr. President I know that was a big night for the company. But, I couldn't afford the chance of getting injured. You see Anthony Washington isn't going to compete tonight after what Adam Mumford did to him. He's most certainly mad. Don't let that performance cloud your judgment of me. I am the man you want to lead your Overdrive brand to the top. When God put in place a glass ceiling I broke through it without a scratch on me. That's the type of attitude you need in a World Heavyweight champion.
It all clicked into place like a million pieces to a giant jigsaw puzzle. This was my chance to get President Jeff on my side for the better. I want the entire organization to have a true poster boy they can believe in. I had the look, the skill and house hold quality that middle class families could get behind.
President Jeff || I really think you are a great competitor. Your veteran status is something APW needs at a global level. We are impressed with your journey of substance abuse recovery. I see with the right pieces around you that you'll be a great asset to the company. Though, you getting this match with Level One is no excuse for pulling out a scheduled contest. Though the fans who didn't see you on the last Meltdown might have made the trip to Raleigh. I want to know this former Megastar to current Megastar. What made you become a professional wrestler?
Bingo. Of course that was his Name - O. But this was the question and opportunity I was searching for. The chance to lay it down like I want toward the owner of Action Packed Wrestling. The question was like the flood gates opening for a chance to see me succeed in APW.
♂Joseph Johnson|| I was a victim of circumstance Mr. President. The ideals of people body building and all that before transitioning wasn't the case. Truly, I didn't understand what it was like to do something else outside of Football. Until I got hurt drying up any chance at getting into the National Football League ™. So, professional wrestling was a way out of my depression. I felt like Level One is currently. I was out of sight and out of mind. Then this business adopted me as it's own. No, I wasn't some failed NFL hopeful to be honest they knew it knew something I didn't. Hell, I didn't ask to be born a Football star and end up a Wrestling Icon. I only said my prayers, ate my vitamins and dreamt of becoming Excellent. And in away I Innovated the business into what it is today.
I was sure that set me apart from some people trying to make a name for themselves. The other end of the line was silent for a moment. Hopefully I set it straight to President Jeff. That everything I did had a reasonable answer behind it. I've been in this business for awhile now and nothing about me said greenhorn. And nothing about me said a liar either.
President Jeff || Well you clearly know the meaning of surviving, adapting and overcoming any obstacle that stands in your way. I don't want you to feel alone in your tenure here in the APW. What I hope to see from you is something memorable. Hell, not everyday someone shows up out the blue and takes on Level One. You have serious balls man and the APW shareholders expect big first hour ratings when Overdrive kicks off tonight. I don't know if you've ever been subjected to ridicule before. But, don't let it stop you. I know for a fact people said I couldn't be where I am today. But, look at me now. I have a meeting in a few moments so we'll have to cut this short... Anything else you'd like to discuss?
I was in a sort of trance as President Jeff held me in high regard. I know that he's counting on me and I can't. No, I won't let him or anyone else down. Tonight was truly game over and it wasn't going to be for me. It was going to be Game Over for Mister Lester Only.
♂Joseph Johnson|| I just want to say this... I've always found a way to screw up. I always overstayed my welcome and this is a feel good moment. You trust me to go out there and deliver the goods so I will. Raleigh, North Carolina will witness something totally Excellent. And that Excellent performance will be courtesy of the guy that's now residing in South Beach. That guy is I, Joseph Johnson and Mr. President i'll do you proud. That's it. The line cuts and i'm alone again for the time being deep in my thoughts. I'm alone until my lovely girlfriend Koryn comes strolling in my locker room. Her outfit is drop dead gorgeous and I wink as she plants a soft kiss on my cheek.
♀Koryn|| Are you ready to make history tonight? I feel good about this baby. No matter what happens this will be your coming out party. Tonight will be just Excellent.
She looked so gorgeous, as I quickly think of a response. Looking at my watch it was about that time to make history. It was the time to make the APW fanbase believe in the “Innovator of Excellence”
♂Joseph Johnson|| You,bet your pretty ass I am. It's about that time. I'm going to go out there, not only am I going to shock the world. But, i'm going to put an Exclamation point in the middle of that ring. Overdrive will live in the unpredictable of my aurora. And, truly what's to come forth after defeating Level One shall never be less than Excellent.
