1:30pm
Niobe stood outside the large brick castle-like building, her head craning upwards to examine the outside in more detail. She squinted slightly, staring at the large glass box that sat just above the entrance, wondering silently what it was for. She chuckled, thinking that it looked like a giant crystal greenhouse sitting there, the sun's rays reflecting off of it. She dropped her head, turning it to the side and noticing people gathering around the cast of a 112 million year old dinosaur footprint. Kids were giggling and laughing, pointing at it in curiosity, parents taking pictures and the like. She wandered over, peering through the crowd at it, looking at it for a second before wandering off, eyeing the life-sized statues of dinosaurs and woolly mammoths. As a kid, this kind of thing interested her. Then again, a lot of things did. It still interested her to go to things like this, even if it was an excuse to get the hell out of the hotel for a few hours and wander around in this place. It was a good idea she thought.
Having had enough of the eye candy, so to speak, outside, she strode over to the doors and pushed her way in, blinking at the rush of cool air that blew past her. At least it would be reasonably nice inside with all the people here. Crowds plus body heat plus enclosed space equaled a rather uncomfortable time for her. Pulling a brochure from the small stand at the entrance, she flipped it open and scanned over the information inside. She'd read somewhere on the net about a 4,550-litre aquarium in this place and now she wanted to find out for herself where it was, and see it too of course. It made her think of the fish she used to keep way back when. Tracing her finger along the map inside, she nodded her head and headed in the direction that it was telling her, dodging the kids and parents and other people heading her way. After maneuvering through said crowds, and the occasional fan or two, she had finally made it there. Walking up close to it, she put her hands on the glass and simply watched the fish and other such aquatic life float on by, not paying any attention to the humans that were just gawking at them. It was soothing to just look, took her mind off of the more important things for the time being.
Then her silent peace was broken by the ringing of her cell phone. She blinked and shoved a hand in her pocket, pulling it out without looking at it and hitting the answer button, lifting it to her ear.
"Hello?"
"Hey babe, going off without me now are you?" The voice on the other end, belonging to Tommy, said to her, laughing as if he thought he made a funny joke. Niobe rolled her eyes, smiling as she bit her lip. He always knew exactly when to call her when she was relaxing, or just doing nothing. Maybe he enjoyed ruffling her feathers so to speak. Or maybe he just liked her. A blush crossed her face as she thought about the days they would spend together when they were in the same general area.
"You there?" Tommy asked again, and Niobe shook her head a bit, coughing.
"Oh yeah, sorry. And yes it took me a while to answer because I was rather enjoying looking at the fish."
"Fish? Where are you anyway?"
"At the Canadian Museum of Nature. I flew up here to visit a few friends, and I got a little stir crazy being in the hotel all day so I asked them about some interesting sights around the city and one of them pointed me here. I'm having fun, glad I came."
"I get ya. So the fish are more important than the match, or me huh?" He laughed a bit.
Niobe groaned, rolling her eyes, thankful he couldn't see the expression on her face. "No they're not, and you know it. You can be a smart ass sometimes you know?"
"I know, but you like me for it anyway."
"B-besides the point!" She stammered, flustered at his comment as she wrapped an arm around her midsection. "The match is important, very important and you know that Tommy. We talked about this a few days ago. I haven't forgotten about it. I've trained myself until my body couldn't take it anymore, just to get ready for it. Trust me, this is top priority in my book. All I wanted was some time out of the hotel room, that's it. I'm going back to my hotel anyway after this, I'm catching the earliest flight they've got today out to where you are babe, I should be there before the end of tonight. You'll have me in your arms soon enough."
"Alright, alright, didn't mean to step on toes. I know you have your head on straight about this." He paused, running a hand through his hair in a nervous gesture. "Didn't think to invite me along? Hmm?"
"No. I wanted to go alone. I wanted to get away from you, you scare me." There was a pause before Niobe broke out into a peal of laughter. "I'm kidding, you don't scare me. I feel rather safe when I'm with you."
Tommy chuckled a little, shifting on his feet in front of the window in his hotel room, glancing out at the busy street below. "Good to know. I should let you go so I don't take up anymore of your time."
Niobe pouted, trying to put her best 'I'm hurt' tone into her voice. "Aww, you don't want to talk to me some more? I was rather enjoying our conversation." She giggled a bit after that. She couldn't help it.
"I know, but I've got some things to do and stuff to take care of before I see you so I'll get going. Have a good flight babe."
"Yeah, take care. Bye."
The phone connection went dead, and Niobe hung it up, staring at the phone as if she half expected him to call back right then just to laugh with her some more. When it didn't, she frowned and pushed the phone back into her pocket, continuing to explore the rest of the museum for most of the afternoon, taking pictures with her phone to post later online. She walked out of there just as the sun was dipping beneath the horizon, hopping in the little cab she had hailed and slammed the door shut, speeding off to the hotel where she could gather her bags before heading off to the airport.
It was time to put someone's star out for good, somewhere in Hollywood, as the song goes. With Tommy at her side at this match, she was going to have some fun, win or lose tonight. People would call into play the fact that she couldn't get anything done out there on her own, that she always had to have someone help her get the win. And that was a fact that she hated. Hated with a passion. It made her seethe with anger and frustration that people thought she was this weak little flower that couldn't get the job done on her own. If they looked at the past, they would see that it was a different story. She didn't need Tommy or Chris out there, or anyone else from The Black Hand to help her get rid of Hollywood. She could put out his lights just fine all on her own. Tommy was just going to be there for moral support. If he so chose to get involved in the match, then that was his business, not her's.

"Tonight, the whole of Overdrive will feel the overwhelming touch of The Black Hand as we seek to dominate and completely take over this place brick by brick, showing everyone why we are the dominate force to be reckoned with. And also, Iron Nightmare is back together as it should of been in the beginning to take the tag team division by storm...and whomever else we chose. Tonight I take on Brian Hollywood in my first match here, and I have to laugh about this because I'm reminded of that song by Sixx A.M. It's called 'Deadlihood' and the lyrics in the beginning of that song hold true here. It's about the lights dying, the stars dying somewhere in Hollywood, and that's where you come in my friend. It's time for your star to die, your light to go out, and for the true Nightmare to begin.
Nightmares never really die, they only get stronger and stronger with time and age. Tonight is your time to feel my fury. People may think I don't have it in me to do this on my own because I have Tommy with me, but I will prove that I can get the job done without the help of my partner, my love. But I won't be held responsible for what he decides to do during or after that match.
You've been warned."
