Mad Mumf vs. "Coldblood" Dirk
The match starts out with fast and furious brawling action as the two throw punches at each other. Mumf gets the upper hand and backs Dirk into the corner unleashing with body blows on him. Dirk breaks that with a rake to the eyes then a standing dropkick. He beats on Mumf a bit before comming off the ropes only to be met by a quick rising Mad Mumf and a Lou Thez Press. Mumf hits a hard clothesline and a swinging neckbreaker for a two count. Mumf goes for a vertical suplex but Dirk counters and hits a burning lariat. He hits a falling scoop slam into a two count. Dirk hits a springboard splash and a Implant DDT both for two counts before locking in a crossface. Mumf counters by rolling over it and getting a 2 count. He's up quick and whips Dirk into the ropes hitting a spinebuster. He pulls him back up for a sidewalk slam and a two count. He puts him on his shoulders for a Death Sentence but Dirk rolls off of it and hits a bulldog. He then Levels Mumf with a spike piledriver and heads to the top rope for the Cold Facts. Mumf rolls out of the way and Dirk lands hard. While stumbling around, Dirk backs into Mumf who locks int he Execution. Dirk fights through it holding on for a very VERY long time until the is finally choked out.
WINNER: Mad Mumf In the parking deck, a black car pulls into the scene. An unknown man sits at the wheel while Havok is seen sitting in the backseat. Harvey: Havok's here? I thought he was suspended after his breakdown backstage last week after Envi retained the Overdrive championship.Chase: This is interesting. I didn't expect to see him here tonight after his suspension leading up to Shockwave.Harvey: What does he have up his sleeve tonight?Chase: My guess would be that he's here looking for Envi and possibly Knox.Harvey: He almost pinned Knox for the win last week until Envi stole the show at the end.Chase: You're guess is as goo...CRASH!!!!All of a sudden, a blue pickup truck slams into the back of the car at the door that Havok is sitting at. The door is caved in as the truck rests against it with smoke rolling out from under the hood. Harvey: JESUS!!!Chase: Someone call an ambulance!A masked person climbs out of the driver door window of the truck, through broken glass. Wearing all black from head to toe, they walk to the window where Havok is sitting and lean inside to take a closer look. Chase: Who is that?!?!Harvey: Whoever it is they sure do look pleased with themselves. The masked person looks up and notices the camera man filming as they nod their head in pleasure. They walk towards the camera and take a swing, knocking the camera to the ground as the picture goes to complete static. Harvey: I'm guessing by that they didn't want to be seen either.Chase: I just received word that medical staff has rushed to the scene to assist Havok. Boy, did it look like he needed it!Harvey: While staff attends to that matter, lets get back to tonight's show. Our thoughts are with Havok after this tragic event. The scene cuts back to ringside. Thursday Night Overdrive begins in the office of Alexander Duvall, who stands grill to grill with the APW world champion, Level-One. However, the champion appears to be absent of his prize, a fact quickly picked up on by Mr. Duvalls wandering eyes. After what had occurred the week prior he knew it was more than just a matter of coincidence. Alexander Duvall: Level-One my friend, if you want to vacate your APW world championship you are free to do so at any time. However, you'll need to do it through the proper channels both legally and lawfully...Alexander Duvall said with a cocky grin before he reached into suit and pulled out a contract he had already had on hand. He couldn't wait to swindle the title out of his grasps but the champion raised his hand in defiance. Level-One: I am not signing that paper because I am not vacating my APW world championship. I had some time to think about things and came to the conclusion that it just wouldn't be fair. In fact, I couldn't find a better way to demean this title and everything it should stand for...Alexander Duvall lowered his head and tossed the contract onto the table behind him. Alexander Duvall: So, where is the title?Level-One shrugged his shoulders as if to let Alexander Duvall know he didn't care to address his questions nor concerns. Level-One: It's somewhere but I really don't think that's any of your concern. I'm not here to talk about the APW world champion or to harp on about my actions last week. Rather, I am here standing before you, a new man. See, Alexander... throughout my historic career I have learnt winning a match may prove you are better in the moment but losing a match can be just as beneficial to the growth of one's character.Alexander Duvall: Is that so?Level-One: Very much, so. That's why I am here to accept the challenge put forth by newcomer Joseph Johnson. Let's just say, he has a lot of maturing to do.Alexander Duvall: If you want it then you got it but don't expect your next opponent to be a cakewalk, Level-One. I don't know what is going through your head and quite frankly I don't care as long as it doesn't make my job any harder then it already needs to be. Tonight, it'll be Level-One Vs. Joseph Johnson in the Main Event!Alexander Duvall announces the match much to the displeasure of the audience inside the building, they aren't liking it one bit. However, it appears as if Level-One himself has some objections. Level-One: The main event?Alexander Duvall was confused. Alexander Duvall: Did I stutter? Yes, I said the main event.Level-One raised his hand and wagged his finger back and forth much to the annoyance of the general manager. Level-One: After losing to Terry Marvin there is no doubt in mind that the only way to proceed is to wipe the board clean and start from scratch. I don't deserve to be in the main event and we both know there's no justification for Joseph Johnson being in one, either. Listen, I know Felipe has paid you off but I really don't want any of your biases rubbing off on me.Alexander Duvall: What the hell do you want from me!?Level-One: I have business to take care of, Alex and I don't plan on waiting all night to get it over with. Tell your errand boy to let Joseph Johnson know I'll be waiting out for him in the ring...Level-One slowly backs away from Alexander Duvall before turning around and calmly walking out of the general managers office in peace. Harvey: So, let me get this straight. Our APW world champion is going to be facing off against newcomer Joseph Johnson tonight in a match apparently slated for right now?Chase: Yes and he turned down top billing! Level-One feels that by losing to Terry Marvin he's been knocked off his perch and needs to build himself up again from the ground up. Though, it's an interesting predicament as he is our current APW world champion.Harvey: Level-One has five years of experience; three of which has been spent at the highest levels of our sport. No disrespect to Joseph Johnson whatsoever; but Level-One just simply is far too established to simply start back at square one.Chase: It's not often we agree, but we agree. Overdrive may have dodged a huge bullet with it's closure of Meltdown as we could have possibly seen our APW world champion compete regularly on that show.Harvey: This is ridiculous... Look! Here comes Level-One, right now!The APW world champion still absent of the hardware steps out of the curtain with no music to drown out the crowds reaction. The booing far outweigh the cheering, as he takes the long haul towards the ring. With no music to drown out the chants it was truly an honest reflection. He rolls under the bottom rope and paces back and forth, as Paige takes the microphone. Paige: Introducing first from Toronto, Ontario, Canada...Level-One snatches the microphone from Paige. Level-One: Tonight, there is no need for a fancy introduction. No need for music, bright lights and all the pageantry involved! These people already know who I am. What I am, where I come from, what I have done and now it's time to remind them what I do.He tosses the microphone back to Paige and urges her to get the show on the road. Harvey: It's clear our champion is fired up, maybe he took this call out a little more serious then we think?Chase: Unfortunately for Joseph Johnson, I think he's just a victim of extreme circumstance.“Radioactive” by The Imagine Dragons hits as the Raleigh,North Carolina crowd was off their feet. The sold out crowd in the PNC arena formerly the RBC Center watch as The “Innovator Of Excellence” comes out rather earlier than expected. He looks around as he stands on the stage with his girlfriend Koryn in tow. He has a microphone in hand as the crowd is stirring patiently awaiting him to speak. Darren Harvey: Wow, this guy is something else. Not, for a second he hasn't shown his potential. Coming out here dressed to be compete but not without making a statement.Johnny Chase: All he's doing is holding up the inevitable Level One will end this guy. I don't know why he thinks he's above the status quo. Evil runs rampant and Nice Guys...finish last.Joseph Johnson: You know i've been thinking all week about this night. I've talked to President Jeff about it as well. I, don't understand what drives Level One. I don't even want to know. But, he has disrespected the sport I love for no long. No longer shall we stand by and watch this evil empire ruin a great company. I will bring this threat to an end. For, I am going to be the face of APW. This company needs someone loyal, brave and accustomed to bright lights. No, I won't fall under pressure. For the last few months Level One hasn't showed the slightest respect for this business. So, i'm going to prove to him that Excell.... Koryn is pushed aside by The World Heavyweight Champion who just lays into Joseph Johnson with a clubbing blow to the back of his head. The bigger Level One picks up Joseph Johnson throwing him into the steel barricade. He starts to drive something from his back pocket of his ring attire. The object shines in the light. He has what appears to be a fork. The kitchen utensil opens the skull of someone thought to Excellent. The man is getting beaten by Level One to a point of no return. Joseph Johnson tries to fight back to no avail. Johnny Chase: That's what talking crap gets you.Darren Harvey: That's a cheap shot.Johnny Chase: To you only.Level One picks up Joseph Johnson in a bear hug and squeezes tightly. The crowd can't watch as this bloody spectacle hasn't even officially begun yet. Level One drags Joseph Johnson into the crowd. He is mouthing off to the people telling them about his hatred toward Joseph Johnson. The Champion smiles with a twisted nature as he continues to stomp on the body of Johnson. He swings him around launching him knee first over the barricade. Johnny Chase: Good show.Darren Harvey: It's horrible man, don't say it's good.Joseph Johnson holds onto his knees grimacing in so much pain. Koryn can only watch helplessly from the entrance ramp. Her man is getting a beating of a life time. With each blow the crowd makes a groan as their favorite Megastar is now on the receiving end of a gang style beat down. Level One kicks Johnson in the skull repeatedly without remorse. He checks the steel ring steps and tosses him into them. Johnson flips knees first over the ring step. Johnson holds onto his knee preferably the right one he's had a history with. The braced right knee is now a target for Level One. Darren Harvey: His knee looks in bad shape.Johnny Chase: Tsk easy pickens. This sadistic version of the Champion picks up Joseph and rams him back first against the ring apron. The pain shows up in the discoloration in The “Innovator”'s face. Joseph Johnson's breath lives him with each drive into the ring apron. Level One lifts Joseph Johnson up onto the ring apron and looks to hit the Darkness Shine to the padded floor. Joseph Johnson pushes him away and dives onto Level One with an awkward crossbody. The two individuals crash against the steel barricade. Johnny Chase: No, Level One got squashed on that one.Darren Harvey: It's good to see you upset again.Level One starts to stir a little as Joseph Johnson is wearing a crimson mask. Level One goes to rush Joseph Johnson but gets a kick in the face. The “Innovator” limps a little bit before getting a steel chair from underneath the ring. Joseph Johnson slams the chair across the back of Level One repeatedly. He sees the pain on the face of the Champ and then punches the chair into his chest. Joseph Johnson sees an opening springing off the steel steps and hitting an insane diving spear!!! Level One is feeling the momentum shift as he trips up Joseph Johnson. Johnson goes head first against the steel ring post backing up into a Big Boot. Level One starts to look under the ring for more weapons. Darren Harvey: Looking for more thing to play with.Joseph Johnson with a calculating poise doesn't fall victim to Level One when he tries to stab him once more with a fork. He grips the hand of Level One and pulls him back into a Spike DDT. Level One's skull bounces off the padded floor to the delight of the fans. Joseph Johnson scales the top rope as the referee tells him to get inside the ring to start the opening contest officially. He isn't having none of it as he springboards off the top rope and nails a big axe handle across the forehead of Level One. The big man is reeling as Joseph Johnson kicks his legs trying to get him down. Level One pushes Johnson hard and he hits his face on the steel steps separating them. The crowd grimaces again as that was a sickening Thud. Johnny Chase: That's my boy.Darren Harvey: Sickening thug folks.Level One gives another smirk to the people booing him. Just as he's about to do more damage Koryn sprints down to the ring, she jumps on Level One's back starting to bite him in his forehead. At this point Level One is starting to bleed, Koryn has blood around her mouth as Level One throws her off of him. Joseph Johnson sees Koryn hit the ground with a great force of hatred. He just looks lost as he suddenly kips up with adrenaline not even worrying about his hurt knees. Joseph Johnson starts punching Level One in his crimson mask as both men are now beat red. Level One tries to block a punch but Joseph Johnson gets in a kick to his shins. Joseph Johnson with a irish whip trying to get Level One in the ring. But, Level One isn't having it and turns Johnson inside out with a big boot. Joseph Johnson is crawling now trying to weakly fight against Level One. Darren Harvey: No, Koryn is down and out.Johnny Chase: It's a man sport no place for a female. The Innovation in him is dying quickly and Level One knows it. Just as Level One tries to end his career thinking Level Advance on top of some steel steps. Joseph reverses it and nails Level One with a cutter. The “Innovator” still with adrenaline gets ladder from under the ring and sets it firmly above the announce table. Joseph Johnson is not going down without a fight. He rips his shirt off revealing his sort of muscular chest and arms not as big as Level One's physique. Joseph Johnson leaps off of the steel steps and kicks Level One in the chest. He then drags the down Level One who looks to be vulnerable at this point. He looks back over his shoulder to Koryn who still is unconscious with a look of major concern. Johnny Chase: He's wasting time he could of beat Level One. Whelp, looks like we'll see Level One winning shortly.Darren Harvey: This isn't looking good for the “champ” right now though. He uses all his remaining strength taking apart the regular announce table. Level One comes to and goes to hit Joseph Johnson with a monitor but he ducks... Joseph then slams Level One across the announce table. He looks around still looking like he is about to burst with rage. Scaling the ladder as quickly as possible is The “Innovator Of Excellence” surveying the capacity crowd in the PNC Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina off their feet. He leaps off the ladder to a point of no return as Level One moved out of the way. Joseph Johnson lands a beautiful splash onto nothing but air and announce table. The announce table breaks under Joseph Johnson who convulses in pain and shock at the movement of Level One. Darren Harvey: And Joseph Johnson crashes and burns.Johnny Chase: This guy is going to make Botchamania for sure after that.... Haha. Come on Champ.Level One wipes the blood of Joseph Johnson on his body as he picks him up. The World Champion tosses Joseph Johnson into the ring finally as the match can now officially come into fruition. Level One vs. Joseph Johnson
Ding!!! Ding!!!
Level One now casually leans against the turnbuckle, waving his hand in front of him in a manner that shows how much he thinks this much is a squash. Joseph runs towards him with a stiff arm clothesline, but One ducks and pounds his forearms to Johnson’s back. JJ takes the hits and begins throwing elbows behind him until eventually he sticks one into Level One’s cheek. The Champ kinda dizzily walks backwards and Joseph goes for another clothesline and connects! Level One jumps up to his feet, but Johnson puts him down again with another clothesline.
Darren Harvey: Come on, kick his ass.
Johnny Chase: Is this beatdown upsetting you Darren?
Again, Level One jumps up to his feet, Joseph Johnson goes for another clothesline but just as he takes off Level One is already parallel to the ring mat in mid-air for a snapshot worthy standing dropkick. The Dropkick connects, right to the temple of JJ! Level One walks on his knees towards Joseph, and covers him for a fast count.
1 . . . .
2
. . . . . .
Kick Out!!!
Darren Harvey: Still fight in Joseph Johnson.
Johnny Chase: He should stay down like the loser he is.
Level One keeps his composure, but inflicts insult to injury, slapping Joseph Johnson around the hairline twice, and picking him up into a front headlock. Joey tries his best to fight it, but Level One takes him down with a takedown, ironically. Level One squeezes Johnson, putting him in a modification of the rear naked choke, but Joseph refuses to give up. The crowd is behind The Innovator, cheering, and clapping their hands, urging for Joey to get back up to his feet. Joey begins to, as One begins to slip off of Joey. One’s stance grows like a flower, getting sturdier, and firmer. Finally, the elbow of The innovator enters the mid section of One. Joey levels One twice, causing him to finally let go. JJ then quickly takes down The Champ with a Jawbreaker. Level One falls down, and Joseph Johnson falls back, except he tucks his head, and remains on his feet.
Darren Harvey: Textbook moves there.
Johnny Chase: Yeah, and i'm royalty.
Joey walks over to Level One and picks him up. He levels him into the ropes, causing him to nearly fall to the mat, if it wasn’t for the ropes pressed into his back. JJ then takes the arm of One, lifts it out of the rope, and Irish Whips Level One into the ropes. He vaults straight back, as Joey takes Level One down with a Clothesline, modified into a Neckbreaker! Level One attempts to flee the ring, but Joseph Johnson catches the leg of Level One. Level One kicks him off and nails him with a Pele Kick out of no where and makes the cover.
1 . . . 2 . . . THREE
Winner: Level One
Johnny Chase: Yes, a win for the champ.
Darren Harvey: I don't think this was Johnson's plan but now he can tend to his girfriend Koryn.
Joseph Johnson and EMTs take Koryn off to the local hospital as Level One celebrates his victory with a smile. He refuses EMT attention limping to the back holding himself with all his composure.

The scene cuts backstage to Mr. Duvall's office where he sits at his desk on the telephone. He then hangs up the phone and thinks to himself for a moment before standing up and heading to the door. Harvey: There's Mr. Duvall ladies and gentlemen.Chase: I wonder what that phone call was about. By the look of his face, it seems important.Duvall opens the door and walks out into the hallway only to spot Tommy Knox a little ways down with his back to him. Duvall looks on for a moment and rubs his chin, thinking to himself yet again. He then steps forward and calls out. Duvall: Hey, Knox!Knox stops dead in his tracks and slowly turns around, surprised to see Duvall at the other end of the hallway calling his name. Knox: Yea? The two slowly walk towards each other as Knox keeps his eyes locked on Duvall. Meeting halfway in the hall, the two stop and look each other face to face in suspense. Duvall: You'll never guess who I just got off the phone with. Knox: You're probably right. I would only assume that it's the bum you stole that suit off of on the streets. Duvall: You're a funny man, Tommy. Heh... I'd be wise to listen up if I were you. Knox: Is that so? Duvall: I just got off the phone with Evan Envi... An awkward silence fills the air as this catches Knox's attention. Knox: And? Am I supposed to be impressed? Duvall: No, I don't think so. I just thought you would be interested to know that he will be at Overdrive next week to discuss his contract and future in APW. Knox: Why are you tellin' me this? He's probably here tonight.Duvall: No, he's not here tonight and neither is the Overdrive championship. I just thought it might peak your interest to know that he will be at the show, personally, next week to attend to the business side of things. I know last week didn't end as you had hoped with Havok dropping the ball at the end. Evan has something that I want back, something that I believe you want as well. The Overdrive championship isn't his property anymore until he signs on the dotted line. I thought you would find value in this information but if I'm wrong then by all means, blow me off and see for yourself. Knox: I still think you're full of [censored]! I'm pretty sure he's here somewhere, hidin' in the back. His time will come. You can try and protect him if you like but it doesn't matter. The Black Hand gets what they want and as I said before, we rise from the ashes of all the fallen "factions" around here. It seems that The League has been droppin' like flies lately, well what used to be The League. Duvall: I'm assuming that you were responsible for what happened to Mr. Havok earlier tonight? Knox: I wouldn't go as far as to point the finger at someone without a single shred of evidence. I'm willin' to bet that his demons caught up with him and he got what he deserved. Who am I to judge? Havok's in my rearview. You know that I have my sights set on Envi and I think you're just playin' me right now to give him a little bit of comfort before his time comes. Duvall: You're entitled to your opinion. I figured I would just pass this information along to someone who might find it useful. I guess I was wrong. Knox: I guess you were, then again, I'll find out if you're bluffin' later tonight. Look it, I have [censored] to attend to. I'd appreciate it if you'd quit wastin' my time. Knox then turns a cold shoulder to Duvall and walks away as his steps echo off the walls. Mr. Duvalls watches on with a sinister look on his face as the scene slowly cuts back to ringside. The show goes backstage to where Michael Jennings is standing by with his manager Robert Hamilton and Hamilton’s heavy Edwin Hughes. Michael smiles deviously at the camera before he begins to address the audience. He clearly has something on his mind and with his past history he isn’t afraid to say it. Jennings: Tonight I’m in a tag team match teaming with Victor Hades against Biggs and Nick Watson. But I don’t want to talk about that match first. Before I get to that I want to talk about Level One facing off against some new guy who’s only had one match named Joseph Johnson. The crowd cheers this which slightly annoys Jennings as he continues. Jennings: Yeah ya’ll might be cheering that but the fact is I called out Level One on the May 30th Overdrive show live from Houston and NEVER got a response. Don’t believe me? Well here’s the footage to prove it.The screen quickly switches over to stock footage of Michael’s baskstage segment from his first Overdrive appearance after getting drafted from Meltdown. Jennings: Love you too but tonight isn’t about love. Tonight’s about me kicking Amy Zing’s ass all over Houston to get my spot in the Test for the Best tournament. I’m not going into this thing to get a title shot or anything like that. I want to get into this tournament to show the world that I am as good as I say I am. I’m the best there is and can’t nobody tell me any different. I don’t need to invent slogans or nicknames to convince myself I’m great. My fans gave me the nickname the Hero with No Fear and with good reason because right now I’m calling somebody out.
He points to the camera with his index finger before continuing.
Jennings: I’m calling out Level One right now.
The crowd erupts upon hearing that.
Jennings: I’m not afraid of the Sindicate or any other group out there. Level One is the biggest predator on this brand and I’m calling out, in my mind, the best of the best.
He brings his hand back down before continuing.
Jennings: Now I know what you’re thinking. He must want my World Championship belt.
He stops to shake his head before continuing.
Jennings: I don’t want nor need your title. Titles are for people who can’t get ahead in this business on their own and have nothing to talk about. I just want to see if I’ve got what it takes to go against and beat the best in this industry. I also am throwing out this challenge to show you that I’m not afraid to go after the top guys in this business. The challenge is on the table but, for now, I have a match to attend to. Amy Zing, I’ll be kicking your ass soon.
The crowd cheers as Michael walks off screen with Catherine. The footage stops playing and the camera is back on Jennings who doesn’t look pleased. Jennings: I call his ass out and get no response yet some nobody who got beat on the Meltdown Finale gets a match with him. Now this begs the question. Is he ducking me or is there some other forces at play that are beyond my control? Level One, just because Biggs is my focus doesn’t mean I haven’t forgotten about you. I want to be the best and the only way to be the best is to beat the best. Here on Overdrive YOU are the best, not me. You are the top dog on this brand which is why I want a shot at you, title on the line or not. Like I said back then, I could care less about winning your belt. I just want to face you in the ring, bottom line.
I know I can beat you. Biggs and Johnny Rebel know that I can beat you. I am the fastest rising star here in APW and I’ve done it starting from the bottom. I’ve done it with everyone and everything working against me. I am on a mission to go straight to the top. As you all well know I am a highly motivated wrestler. So is Stefan Raab who I formed the tag team Vox Populi with. I’m also the most outspoken wrestler in this entire company and I call it like I see it. There’s been some things in APW that I’ve been very vocal about being against and the fact is that I’ve got a target on my back so large that it’s invisible. I’ve taken huge steps this week and the only place I should be going is up.
Biggs, Nick Watson, you two are my targets this week. Biggs, I kicked your ass all over the building last week and I’m going to do it again. Watson, you’re just in the way of me kicking his ass so I’ll give you the same treatment I give him. Long term I want Level One in the ring. That is my ultimate goal. I can beat him and I’m looking forward to the having the opportunity to prove it. But then again, like I said last week, I’m not the person management wants as the face of this company. I’m not a pretty boy. I’m not an entertainer. I don’t come out to that ring and start dancing and posing like some of the puppets in the locker room do. I’m the opposite of what they want. I am the biggest rebel in the locker room. I speak my mind and give no fucks if it pisses anyone off. I’m barely marketed and promoted, I don’t care about titles or wins, I don’t care who they put me in the ring with, and I for damn sure don’t have anyone kissing my ass on a weekly basis because I can’t stand that shit. I’m a WRESTLER who is here to WRESTLE, not to entertain. Hurting people is what I do and I do my job very well. Tonight I’m going to that ring to send a message and I hope it’s heard loud and clear throughout all of APW. Biggs, Watson, I’ll see you in the ring.He storms off with his entourage close behind as the scene fades out. The camera shifts from behind a wall, revealing Wyatt Crash sitting on a locker room bench. With a towel draped over his head, Wyatt rolls his shoulders back before getting up and stretching. Just as he crosses his left foot over his right foot and bends down to touch his toes, Baxter Bennington enters the room from behind him. "Mr. Crash! How is everything going? The company has flown me out here to talk to you. I told you I would run into you before your match!" Baxter makes a quick adjustment to his sleeves before sticking his arm out to shake hands with Wyatt. Wyatt accept the handshake after a few seconds of hesitation. "Hm. Mr. Bennington, correct? Is there anything I can help you with?" "Why, yes! Yes, there is something you can help me with," Baxter reaches into his coat pocket, revealing an iPad mini. After scrolling through one of the applications on the screen, he raises the tablet toward Wyatt's face. "I was wondering if you would be willing to try out this new image I worked out for you! Here are some pictures. Say, what do you think? Pretty neat, isn't it?" "Listen, I told you all once already. Wait a second, is that a picture of a biker wearing ass-less chaps? I mean, come on! You've got to be kidding me. There is no way in hell I am doing that." "Why not? It's a bit edgy, a bit crazy, and a whole lot of you! Who cares if you don't use drugs and don't eat animals, the people want an image they can remember! One they can root for! Just give it a shot." Baxter reaches into his bag, pulling out a pair of ass-less leather chaps. "Just try them on! Come on, you never know! You might love how they feel!" Wyatt laughs and wipes his forehead with the towel. "No way. No f'ing way am I ever putting those on. You want new? You want edgy? What I am about to do to Jerry Matthews is going to be all of those adjectives and more. Just watch, I don't need a darn image consultant to tell me how to act." Baxter watches as Wyatt exits the locker room. As Wyatt leaves, he pulls out his cell phone and makes a quick call. "Mr. Parker? Yes, it's Bennington. I almost got him to try it out. What? No, he wouldn't wear the chaps. I know! I thought it was a great idea, too! Next time. I promise, next time I will get him to try out something new. Okay. Goodbye." Baxter Bennington picks up his belongings and begins to exit the locker room. The camera shot fades to black. Suddenly, the guitar introduction of Earth’s “An Inquest Concerning Teeth” is heard over the PA system. Some of the members of the crowd get to their feet and slowly start to clap. From behind the curtain, The Technical Train makes his way into the open. Wyatt raises both his arms in an "x" formation, holding them above his head. For a few seconds, Wyatt pauses with his eyes closed, holding this position while soaking in the crowd's reaction. Picking up the pace, Wyatt rushes toward the ring and slides under the bottom rope. Now standing in the middle of the ring, he places his hands on his hips and then quickly slams down into the "thinker" position. After a moment of holding that stance, he surges back up and walks over to the corner of the ring. Wyatt begins adjusting his tape and attire as he waits for the match to begin. Harvey: This should be an interesting contest.Chase: It’s going to be nothing but violence. As Josh Turner's "Long Black Train" begins to play, "The Evangelist" Jerry Matthews strides down the aisle in a suit and tie. In his hand, he carries a Bible and begins his regular sermon as he ventures down to the ring. His spiritual liaison, Deacon Jeremiah, accompanies him to ringside with an offering plate, ready to collect money from any believers in the crowd. As he gets to the ring, he climbs through the ropes and removes his suit. He then raises his Bible in a preachly manner to the crowd as they boo incessantly. Crash Wyatt vs. Jerry Matthews
The two wrestlers circle each other and tie up. Matthews overpowers Crash and grabs him into a Rear Chinlock. Crash soon fights out of it with punches to the midsection before grabbing Matthews into an Armbar. Matthews pushes him over and gets to the ropes. The ref calls for the break but Matthews with knees to the midsection. Matthews goes for an Irish Whip but Crash reverses it and nails Matthews with a High Knee.

The show goes backstage to show Michael Jennings showing PW superstar Reya Serra and her best friend and his girlfriend Paxar Vega around the backstage area. In fact he’s giving them a tour of the backstage area before their match this evening. He’s telling them about some things that have been going on as the scene begins. Jennings: This is how it is every week here lately. Notice all the tension around here. All these guys want to kill each other.Reya: There does seem to be a lot of anger and hatred backstage at the moment...He smiles and nods his head. Jennings: It’s just another situation where the natives are getting restless and the high school drama nonsense has taken over. That’s a good way of looking at it, actually. That’s what it’s turned into around here.Reya: That does not sound good at all. It sounds terrible, in fact.He smiles at them again before talking about their travels before the show. Jennings: Anyway Rome was fun. I had a great time with you ladies.Reya: As we did with you, Michael.Paxar: Yeah, it was totally awesome! I loved it.Jennings: Yeah we should make travelling together to various places a regular thing. That really got my mind off of a lot of things.Reya: Well, with you now being a part of Phoenix Wrestling in addition to your contract here with Action Packed Wrestling, you may now have more opportunities to take your mind off of things.Paxar: Plus, we also get to spend more time together too which is definitely a plus.Jennings: I had fun at the Coliseum, Vatican City, Venice, St. Peter’s Basilica, Trevi Fountain, and Forum Romanum. It was quite fascinating. The nightlife and all the romantic restaurants were fun to go to as well.Paxar: They sure were! It was great getting to do all of those things and see all of those awesome places.Reya: The sights were indeed enjoyable...I was not a big fan of the nightlife, however.Paxar: That’s because your idea of having fun is reciting Bible verses.Michael smiles at them before looking over to see Biggs’ locker room. The happiness on his face suddenly changes to a look of pure hatred. Jennings: That son of a bitch…Reya motions for him to calm down as does Paxar. Paxar: What’s wrong?Reya: It would appear that Michael is not fond of Mister Biggs... Jennings: I CAN’T STAND HIM! He’s one of the best in this company’s history yet all he does is dance around in his little costume like a Sesame Street character to entertain the masses. Wrestlers like HIM are why this industry is going straight down the toilet. Dancing, egocentric entertainers who only care about themselves and not the fans who pay good money to see them.Reya: Pride comes before the fall, Michael. Eventually all of those things will lead to the undoing of Mister Biggs in the end.Jennings: I can’t wait to kick his ass all over the building. In fact I might just kick his locker room door in right now…Reya and Paxar get in front of him to prevent him from doing that. Reya: I do not think that would be such a good idea.Paxar: No, it’s not. You’re angry with Biggs...I get it, but this isn’t the way to go about it. Conserve that anger and take it out on him in the ring.Jennings: Alright I’m walking, I’m walking but when I see him in the ring I’m going to send his dancing, Spaceboy ass to the hospital and there ain’t nothing anybody can do about it. Although I might do it back here if I see him first...Turning away from them, Jennings angrily walks off in the direction of his own dressing room. Paxar takes a step to go after him, but Reya grabs her arm stopping her. Reya: Perhaps it would be best to let him cool off for a little bit. Come, there are a few final preparations that I need to make before my match against C.J. Gates later this evening.Paxar lets out a heavy sigh before the two of them make their way towards Reya’s dressing room, the camera shifting back to ringside. The now common occurrence of a shaky handheld camera fades in. The camera seems to be pointed at two large steel doors. Each door has a vertical handle to pull from the outside which runs parallel with one another. The camera zooms in to a large black name plate which is on the door that reads "NewGen Rising". It's now abundantly clear this is the outside of their locker room. The door swings open and Brian Hollywood emerges from the dressing room in full ring gear, ready for his up coming match. He holds the door open and yells out to his teammates. Brian Hollywood: Hurry up Jace, the match is about to start.A very low, muffled response is heard from what sounds like Jace Savages voice. Jace Savage: Taking a leak be right there.Brian Hollywood releases the door and walks down the hallways ready to make his entrance for his latest Overdrive performance. The camera gets placed down onto a steel container which houses production equipment during travel. The large case is spun so that it points directly at the doors. Suddenly from behind the camera pops out the Black Hand. Chris Madison rushes and intertwines a large steel chain through the two door handles. Niobe Martin positions a pad lock through links of that chain while Tommy Knox watches on. Once the lock is in place Madison bangs on the door as if he were trying to get in. The other members of NewGen Rising are now imprisoned in their locker room and are trying to push the door open to no avail. Jace Savage: Whats the big idea? Very Funny. Haha. Open this door. Brian? The members of the Black Hand are seen standing and laughing right in front of the door. Chris Madison: You forgot to say the magic word Jace! The trapped megastars bang on the door ruthlessly trying to get the attention of anyone who can open the door for them. Jace Savage: Son of a b*tch!Ron Rufio: I think we're locked in.Nick Watson: This is bullsh*t, open the door! Now!Security and officials swarm the area pushing the three members of the Black Hand away as they try to open the door. Madison, Knox, and Martin walk off laughing as Hollywood charges back after receiving word of what happened. For a brief moment Niobe and Hollywood square off with an intense stare down. Niobe Martin: I'll see you out there Brian...The scene cuts to the announce table for the Hollywood versus Martin match as officials call out to find a bolt cutter. Darren Harvey: Well that just doesn't seem fair. Brian Hollywood might have to go at it alone against Niobe with Tommy Knox at ring side and Chris Madison lurking backstage.Johnny Chase: Life isn't fair! He'll get over it. He better get his head straight and focus on the task at hand.Darren Harvey: A rather daunting task! Could possibly be taking on the Black Hand single handedly.Johnny Chase: Yeah...that's not a good thing. As the opening of the song starts to play, the video flashes on the tron of a camera panning up a grassy hill at night slowly until it gets to the top, panning from left to right, lightning flashing in the sky as the opening guitar rift plays. Niobe appears on the hilltop, standing with her legs shoulder width apart, arms down at her sides as she slowly makes her way down the hill before breaking into a run just as the beginning lyrics play... Nicky Paige: The following contest is scheduled for one fall. First making her way to the ring being accompanied by Tommy Knox, weighing in at 125 pounds, from Los Angeles, California, NIOBE NIGHTMARE MARTIN!!!'Nightmare! Now your nightmare comes to life...'Niobe comes running out from behind the curtain, stopping at the top of the ramp briefly to extend her arms out to the sides. 'Dragged you down below Down to the devils show To be his guest forever Peace of mind is less than never..'As the lyrics of the song continue to play, she drops her arms and walks down the ramp, sliding under the bottom rope of the ring. She stands up and throws off the hood of her jacket, pointing a finger at the crowd with a smile. Darren Harvey: And there's Tommy Knox. Strolling down to the ring, hiding behind those black sunglasses, as usual!Nicky Paige: And her opponent, weighing in at 220 pounds, from Los Angeles, California, BRIAN HOLLYWOOD!!!"Perfect Insanity" by Disturbed blasts over the PA system as the crowd starts busting out in cheers. A black limo pulls out close to the ramp on the left side of the arena. The limo driver steps out of the car and walks towards the back of the limo. The writing on the door is inscripted as "Mr. Hollywood." The Limo Driver then opens the door and showcases Brian Hollywood as he steps out of the car. Hollywood looks around each sides of the arena before making his way to the ramp. Walking down the ramp he extends his hands out giving out handshakes to the crowd. Hollywood then gets to the ring and walks around the ring once looking about the crowd before walking up the ring steps. He gets in the ring and pumps up the crowd with his hands. Hollywood then walks and stretches by pulling the ropes. He then walks to a turnbuckle and leans up against it and waits for his opponent. Brian Hollywood w/Jace Savage vs. Niobe "Nightmare" Martin w/Tommy Knox
Darren Harvey: Let's see what the Black Hand has up their sleeves.
Johnny Chase: I'm sure nothing but support for their teammate.
The bell rings as the two megastars begin circling one another. They meet in the middle of the ring lock up with a collar and elbow tie up. After a brief test of strength Hollywood shoves Niobe onto her rear end. She rises to her feet with a determined look and they lock up again. This time Niobe transitions to a side headlock. Hollywood quickly counters by dropping Niobe backwards with a belly to back suplex. Hollywood rests on his knees and points at Tommy Knox. The two men quickly begin to jaw off to one another as Tommy climbs onto the apron. The ref steps between to separate the two men.
Darren Harvey: Hollywood needs to remain focused on Niobe and not worry about Tommy. Officials are working backstage to free up NewGen Rising so Jace Savage can make it out here and even up the odds.
Johnny Chase: That's if the match goes that long! Look Niobe has recovered!
Hollywood turns around and is immediately up ended by a back body drop from Niobe. Brian is quick to recover to his feet but gets up ended again with another back body drop. A little slower to his feet he gets flipped one more time. Brian uses the ropes to get to his feet and is met with a clothesline that sends him over the top to the ground below! Niobe climbs the corner and crouches, perched, waiting Hollywood to stand. She times his movement and delivers a picture perfect corkscrew moonsault to the outside!
Darren Harvey: The nightmare is soaring through the air!
Johnny Chase: With such grace!
Niobe is the first to her feet and she slides into the ring to break up the refs count. Hollywood staggers up and once he gets to the apron he is met with a drop kick through the bottom and middle rope which sends him into the security railing. Niobe slides through the ropes with the execution of that move. Dazed and confused, Hollywood spins around and gets tossed to the padded mats with a firemen's carry takedown. Niobe follows through and stands by his midsection before hitting a standing moonsault! Tommy Knox inches closer but the ref sees him and warns him to stay by his corner.
Darren Harvey: She needs to get him in the ring!
Niobe lifts Hollywood to his feet and rolls him into the ring. She climbs up and stands on the apron, gripping the top rope. Once Hollywood gets up she flies through the air, springboarding off the top rope and nails a hurricanrana which sends Hollywood to the center of the ring. Niobe climbs again and attempts her modified version of the shooting star press!
Johnny Chase: Phantasm Horror! No! Hollywood got his knees up!
Darren Harvey: That knocked the wind out of her!
Both combatants are using opposing ropes to their feet. Niobe charges and tries a clothesline but Hollywood ducks under and delivers a perfect German suplex. Hollywood returns to his feet only a moment before Niobe and takes her down with a spear. He remains on top and rains down with a few right fists before the ref pulls him off to warn him about the closed hand. The moment of discussion gave Niobe a chance to recuperate. As the ref moves Niobe tries a flying spinning heel kick but she gets swatted out of the way with a missile drop kick!
Darren Harvey: Hollywood with some momentum!
Hollywood lifts Niobe and nails a twist-of-fate DDT which he calls the Lay-Off. Hollywood goes for the cover.
1 . . . 2 . . . Kick out!
Johnny Chase: That was close!
Hollywood lifts Niobe up and drops her to the mat with a diamond cutter! He quickly hops to her legs, rolls her over and locks in a Boston crab! Niobe lets out a high pitched scream as she inches towards the ropes. Hollywood wrenches back, putting more pressure on her lower back. She stretches out her fingers and is nearly to the ropes. Finally she grasps the lower rope prompting the ref to break the hold.
Darren Harvey: Hollywood thought he had it!
Hollywood slowly lifts Niobe but she surprises him and cradles him for the cover.
1 . . . 2 . . . Kick out!
Hollywood pops up and tries for a cradle of his own.
1 . . . 2 . . . Kick out!
Both get to their feet. Niobe charges and Hollywood goes for a back body drop but she reverses it into a sunset flip for the cover.
1 . . . 2 . . . Kick out.
Hollywood flipped out and immediately tries for another Boston crab. This time Niobe escapes and crawls through his legs. Hollywood waits and when Niobe gets to her feet she is kicked in the mouth with a super kick! Tommy senses the danger and hops up to the apron. Hollywood catches him and nails another super kick!
Darren Harvey: Two executive promises after that wonderful exchange!
Hollywood makes the cover while watching for Tommy.
1 . . . 2 . . . 3!!!
Nicky Paige: Here is your winner, BRIAN HOLLYWOOD!!! Johnny Chase: He may have won but here comes Madison. And still no sign of NewGen Rising!Madison slides head first into the ring, coming down in a full sprint from the backstage. He charges and takes Hollywood down with a Lou Thesz press. Madison keeps the mount and pulls Hollywoods head up. He strikes Hollywood continuously with 12 to 6 elbows opening a small cut to his forehead. Tommy Knox slides in the ring as Niobe rises to her feet. Madison lifts Hollywood and hooks his arms. Knox begins to pummel the defenseless Hollywood. Madison releases Hollywood and spins him around. Madison shoves his head and flips over and nails a flipping Piledriver! Darren Harvey: Someone needs to come out here and stop this!Niobe climbed to the top rope attempting one of her high flying finishers. Just as she stood on the top rope the crowd roars. Jace Savage, Ron Rufio, and Nick Watson come charging the ring, finally being freed from their locker room. Madison is the first to notice and warns his stablemates. The Black Hand members slide out of the ring and exit through the fans! Jace is riled up and climbs to the second rope in the nearest turnbuckle. He points at the Black Hand as the retreat and mouths off. Johnny Chase: Something tells me this is only the beginning of a war between these factions!

Cindy Shannon is standing in the backstage interview area. Cindy: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guest at this time, Biggs! The fans pop as Biggs walks into frame. He’s already in his ring gear, ready for the tag team match later in the night. He has an annoyed look on his face as Cindy begins to ask her first question. Cindy: Later tonight, Biggs, you team with Nick Watson to take on the team of Victor Hades and the man who defeated you last week, Michael Jennings. Let’s show a clip…The screen shows a replay of the finish of Biggs vs. Michael Jennings from the week prior. Both men are up quickly, and Biggs dives in with a flying forearm but Jennings ducks sideways, and rolls Biggs up. He puts both legs up on the middle rope for some additional leverage as the referee jumps in to place…
1 . . 2 . . 3!!
Harvey: His feet were on the ropes, Johnny! His feet were on the ropes! Son of a…
Chase: I didn’t see anything!
Winner: Michael Jennings
Jennings doesn't celebrate long though as he rolls out of the ring and grabs a steel chair as Biggs argues with the referee about Jennings feet on the ropes. Biggs turns around and gets NAILED in the head by the steel chair. The crowd boos and Jennings does it again and again. Finally he drops the chair and rolls out of the ring heading to the back as the crowd boos loudly.
Harvey: The hell was that for?The camera switches back to Biggs and Cindy. Biggs is looking away from the monitor, and has his hands on his hips, shaking his head. Biggs: You know what, Cindy, despite my history of concussions, I didn’t need help remembering what happened last week. You see, I can’t fault Michael Jennings for cheating to win last week. Heck, I used to do the same thing all the time. That’s how I won the APW Undisputed Championship. But what I take umbrage with, what really pisses me off is the fact that Jennings took it upon himself to attack me from behind with a Steel Chair after the match!
And for what?! It’s not like Jennings and I had any bad blood between us, at least no more than can be expected in a competitive match! But considering my history of concussions, considering the fact that I have missed time with head injuries, I can’t help but think that Jennings went into our match last week planning to attack me with that chair, win or lose!
Well Jennings, you may think that you got one up on me last week, you may think you may be making a name for yourself, but let me tell you right now, Jennings, nobody, and I mean nobody tries to make their name at my expense, and doesn’t face any sort of consequences!
Just because the fans happen to cheer me now, it doesn’t mean that I’ve lost my killer instinct! It doesn’t mean that I’m just going to come here week in and week out, with a smile on my face and skip in my step regardless of what’s been happening to me lately! You tried to injure me! You tried to take me out! But guess what, Jennings, you did not succeed! You’re no C.J. Gates! You’re no Level-One! You are simply a self-centered jerk who is nowhere near as big a deal as he thinks he is!At this point, Biggs notices something from off-frame, and shoves Cindy out of the way to safety as Michael Jennings bull rushes Biggs with a steel chair! He waffles Biggs right between the eyes, sending him falling to the floor! Jennings gives Biggs a couple of hard stomps before nailing him right in the midsection with another steel chair shot! Blood is trickling down the face of Biggs as Jennings pulls him up with one arm, holding the chair in the other! He then shoves Biggs into the wall, and places the chair right up to his throat, pinning Biggs to the wall! Jennings: I am not playing around, Biggs. This isn’t a game to me! I WILL DESTROY YOU, BIGGS! You run your mouth about me and you will pay just like you are now. YOU WANT A PIECE OF ME, BIGGS? YOU WILL BE DESTROYED AND THERE’S NOTHING YOU CAN DO TO SAVE YOURSELF!Jennings then pulls the chair out, and winds up, nailing Biggs right in the face once more! Jennings coldly walks off, leaving Biggs laying. Nick Watson finally shows up, tending to Biggs while calling for medical assistance! Harvey: What a vicious, unnecessary assault from Michael Jennings here tonight!Chase: Of course it’s necessary! Jennings may very well have removed Biggs from tonight’s tag team match!Camera cuts to backstage, as we see Shame West, standing by. Shane: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guest at this time, Leon 'The Virus' Roberts.Camera pans back, and we see Leon standing beside Shane. He currently has no shirt on, wearing a pentagram necklace, and a sinister smirk on his face. Shane: Leon. Last couple of weeks have been rather good. You defeated Shadow in a hard hitting match, as well as two of the toughest females in APW history, just last week.Leon: Damn right I did. But don't think for a second that they were hard fought matches. Maybe for my opponents, but the fact is, I made all of them, kneel at my feet. I have proven that my claw is capable, of mass destruction, just by itself. Especially Niobe. Though i'll give her credit for wanting to come back that quickly after nearly dying. Motivation to show who's really the boss in her relationship, perhaps?Shane: Maybe, but that's beside the point. Also last week, you had interrupted my interview with A.C Smith, by laughing. I have to ask, what's so funny?Leon Begins to laugh again. It's not a laugh based on comedy, but a laugh with a sinister tone to it. After a minute, he stops, and look down at Shane. Leon: What did I find funny last week? How's about who I saw, wasn't all that great. I saw a person, who much like most of the others for themselves here, buying into his own crap. A.C Smith has indeed held the Xtreme title for quite a while, but have we seen something truly memorable, something truly extreme from him? Absolutely [censored] not. People like him, tend to toss that word around. He can claim he's gone up against many hard to beat opponents to be where he's at, but with the loose rules that's easy to do.Fact of the matter is Shane, when I heard he was going to be defending that belt tonight, and not against somebody who actually deserves a shot, like me, I asked that I overlook it because I don't give a [censored] who wins it, that [censored] title will belong to me!Shane: Ah. Thanks for answering that lingering question. But tell me, how are you certain about what you just said?Leon grabs Shane by the throat. He squeezed hard, as he brings the backstage announcer closer to him. Leon: You dare question me? That's the biggest mistake you could possibly make! With that, Leon tosses Shane away, before grabbing the mic for himself. Leon: I know for damn certain, that in comparison to me, the one who walks beside the devil, the one who defied death when fourteen bullets bled me like a stuffed pig...A.C Smith is nothing. I could tell you what I've done, what I could easily do, and certainly, what others have done to me, and then we'll see.
Thing is A.C, this will be your toughest challenge to date, because you'll have to deal with me as the referee, and you better be good, or i'll [censored] you over. Same with you Madison. To me, it doesn't matter who holds that title, for I will take it when I please. But A.C Smith, I hope you do retain, because you have held the title for a long [censored] time, and I want to see why. I want to see why you could, and what makes you so [censored] special!
One last thing boys. I'll make it official. Part of the reason why i'm reffing this match, is because as I said, I don't care who wins. I am throwing down a challenge. At the next APW pay per view, Shockwave, I'm challenging the champion to a title match. The champion, whomever it is by the end of the night, against me. Smith, Madison...if either of you have the balls to take me on, you'll accept immediately. If not...well let's just say that I will drag everything down until I get it. Nobody can stop me from getting what I want. Not you Smith, Not you Madison, not Shane, not the board of APW, not the devil, and especially not God!Leon tosses down the mic and begins to walk off. The Camera follows him, as he puts on his ref shirt, which is sleeveless, and have a blood red pentagram splashed on it. Roberts looks himself over in a nearby mirror, but what he sees is far more than he bargained for. Indeed, A.C. Smith is standing behind him, and the crowd erupts at his reflection as the camera pans left to reveal him in the flesh. A.C.: Let me make something perfectly clear to you before we go out there. I've heard your rhetorical nonsense from a LOT of different people over the last seven months, and I've shut them all up. Ask Nathaniel Havok. Hell, ask Michael Lively if you can find whatever hole he's hiding in on Asylum.
I accept your challenge for Shockwave. And after I beat Chris Madison tonight, you will be in the most dangerous place on Overdrive: In my crosshairs, with ALL my focus on giving you the beating you deserve.
"Mull that over for a minute. And think about it again when you're out there looking for ways to stick the knife into my back. Because if you try something, ANYTHING, to take what's rightfully mine and what I've worked so hard to retain since December, I'll show you what makes me special, something you pretended didn't exist just now.
I'll see you out there. And for your own sake, I hope you don't try anything stupid.Smith exits, leaving Roberts with his thoughts. However, Leon doesn't look the least bin intimidated. In fact, he looks even more excited now. Leon: We'll see. The real question is, those guys were merely warm up. There ain't not a goddamn thing you can do, to prepare against me! The silence of the crowd stirs around the atmosphere of the arena as it suddenly becomes disturbed by the sound of a horrific and deafening scream, a white mist begins to seep through from the ramp way, its swirling life source, only to cast itself lovingly into the air and towards the stage. The crowd looks on worried, each and every face being filled with simple fear as their hearts beat rhythmically with the bright-sensitive flickering lights of death… a sickening blue light only to swoon over the crowd. Just as any search light does when picking sight of its criminal… another one only to follow it in its quest. Suddenly a large circle of fire arises in a quick counter-clockwise motion, before exploding upwards as a tall dark figure appears within the center of the flames. Followed just seconds later by the pounding beats of "Murmaider II: The Water God" performed by Dethklok, as it blares across the helpless PA system. The lights remain dim and the searchlight is fixated upon Hades who moves along the stage, while rain begins to descend from the rafters along the ramp and over the ring. ,Exhaling calmly he moves casually down the ramp way with the bright white light behind him, as he remains restrained beneath the black straight-jacket secured across the front clinging tightly to his masculine frame. Stepping to the edge of the ramp Hades gets a running start before leaping into the air, simultaneously as Hades flips and rolls over the middle rope, while all four turnbuckle posts are lit up by the explosive pyrotechnics as they erupt. Suddenly like a crazed lunatic Hades bangs his head into the canvas and snaps his head back, before slowly rising to his feet and scanning the crowd. Hades moves to the center of the ring as the rain falling overhead stops, overlooks the crowd in disgust and calmly exhales turning to the stage awaiting his opponent...
The crowd looks at the entrance as Michael Jennings walks out from the back accompanied by manager Robert Hamilton and his heavy Edwin Hughes to the boos of the crowd. He is wearing a black ring jacket that says “Vox Populi” on it written in yellow letters and with a propaganda style logo on the back. They all enter the ring as Hamilton asks for the microphone.
Hamilton: My client would like to have all you white trash skanks, bastard children, and homeless vagabonds keep the noise down as I introduce the greatest wrestler on Earth…
The crowd boos loudly as Jennings takes off his ring jacket.
Hamilton: First the man behind me, the man who makes all of the men cower in fear and the women scream out like they’re having an orgasm every time they see him. This is “Big” Edwin Hughes!
The crowd boos as Hughes continues to stand in the ring with a scowl.
Hamilton: Now to the greatest manager in all of wrestling…ME. I am the man you all wish you could be. I am the brains behind the brawn, the mastermind behind the mauling, I am Robert Hamilton.
The crowd boos as Hamilton waves to them and thank them for their applause which only makes them boo him even more.
Hamilton: And now to the wrestler that you all came here to see. Hailing from Pacific Palisades, California. He is the man who speaks for the people. The ONLY man who has had the balls to speak his mind and not give a damn if anyone gets mad. He is the man that has the balls you wish that you had. This is your hero and mine, he is “The Man without Fear,” "The Outspoken One," and "The Last of Us" that management wants to see as its champion, this is Michael Jennings!
The crowd boos loudly as Jennings starts yelling obscenities at them.
Hamilton: Now that you’ve seen the best, you can now see the rest. Gorilla position, send out the clown we hired from the circus earlier this evening. It's time for the Greatest Show on Earth.
The crowd boos as Hamilton hands his microphone to the ring announcer and exits the ring with Hughes to stand in the corner of Jennings on the floor at ringside.
"Smooth Criminal" by Alien Ant Farm hits the PA as the fans stand up as Nick Watson emerges on the entrance ramp with a girl on each of his arms. He grins widely as the fans let out cheers and whistles at him and for the two girls, he then asks both the girls to make their way down to the ring, which they promptly do, allowing Nick to look around the arena in a non-distracted fashion. Nick raises his fist to the sky and pumps it a few times, each time green and white pyrotechnics explode around the entrance ramp, after the third time he stops, and makes his way down to the ring. As he reaches the ring, the girls lower the ropes so that he can get inside the ring easily, he grins, and then does so, making sure to kiss the two girls, and then tell them to leave. They obey and make their way backstage. Nick then looks at the entrance ramp as he takes off his shirt, to the adoration of some of the women at ring side, and throws it out into the crowd, as he gets ready for his match to start.
Paige: And their opponents, introducing first... NICK WATSON!
Harvey: Watson will certainly be in a bind here if Biggs can't compete.
The crowd sits in hushed anticipation as the arena lights fade to a dim blue. Fog emits from the stage, illuminated by a bright blue light emanating from the stage. “Spaceman,” by The Killers hits the speakers.
The fans erupt in cheers as Biggs enters the arena followed by the doctor, holding his hands high in the air. Blue laser lights shoot from the stage, as white strobe lights flash around the arena, and Biggs heads down the ramp with a dance in his step, slapping fives with the fans on his way to the ring ignoring the doctor who is telling him that he is unable to compete.
Paige: And his tag team partner...Making his way to the ring, from Seattle, Washington, weighing in at 217 pounds, Biggs!
Biggs reaches the ring but the doctor refuses to let him into the ring. He then calls for security who come down to escort Biggs to the back to the boos of the crowd.
Harvey: Biggs is not being allowed to compete tonight. This changes everything as it relates to this match.
Chase: Yes it does. What a smart plan by Jennings. That guy is vicious but he gets the job done.
The match starts with Watson facing off against Hades. They tie up only to have Hades overpower Watson and toss him across the ring. Watson shakes it off as they circle each other before tying up again. Hades again overpowers Watson and tosses him across the ring. This time as Watson gets to his feet Hades charges at him going for a Clothesline but Watson ducks it. Hades turns around and Watson nails him with a Jumping Punch. Hades back to his feet and Watson knocking him down with an Axe Kick before grabbing him into an Arm Bar.
Chase: What a cheap shot that was by Watson.
Harvey: IT WAS NOT!
Hades isn’t giving up and quickly gets over to the ropes to break the hold. Watson lets go once the ref starts counting. Both men to their feet. Hades goes for a Clothesline and Watson ducks. Watson runs the ropes and Hades goes for a back body drop but Watson leap frogs him. Watson off the ropes but Hades catches him into a Spinebuster. He then pulls him up and does two more Spinebusters. The crowd boos as Hades looks down at his fallen victim as Jennings and Hamilton applaud from his team’s corner.
Harvey: Hades is brutalizing Watson now.
Chase: I love that his partner is cheering on the violence.
Hades quickly goes for a cover.
1 . . . 2 . . .
Watson kicks out. Hades pulls him to his feet before grabbing Watson into a Half-Nelson Snap Suplex. Hades again goes for another cover.
1 . . . 2 . . .
Watson kicks out once again. Hades can’t believe it. Hades pulls Watson to his feet but Watson fights back. He nails Hades using a series of European Uppercuts. He then grabs Hades into a German Suplex. Hades hits the mat hard and Watson goes for a cover.
1 . . . 2 . . .
Hades kicks out. Watson pulls Hades to his feet before nailing him with the Just Kidding! (Running Bicycle Kick) before following it up by climbing to the top turnbuckle and performing a 450 Splash onto Hades. The crowd cheers as Watson goes for a cover, hooking the leg.
1 . . . 2 . . .
Hades kicks out again much to the dismay of Watson.
Harvey: We have three tough wrestlers in this match and Hades might be the toughest of them all.
Chase: I’m going to have to agree with that.
Watson goes to grab Hades but Hades, who is sitting up at this point, nails him with a headbutt to the midsection before going over to his corner to tag in Jennings. Watson stumbles over to the ropes to recover briefly before getting ready to fight Jennings. The crowd cheers as Jennings and Watson circle each other.
Harvey: This should be interesting.
Chase: If Watson knew what was good for him he’d run.
Harvey: Stop it!
Jennings and Watson finally tie up. Jennings gets the best of Watson and takes him down with a Side Headlock Takedown. He continues to wrench on the Side Headlock as the referee checks with Watson to see if he wants to give it up but Watson refuses. He then fights to his feet and uses punches to the midsection to get out of the hold. He then grabs Jennings into a Suplex with a Bridge out of nowhere. Watson holds onto the bridge for a pin attempt.
1 . . . 2 . . .
Jennings kicks out. Both wrestlers to their feet and Watson knocks Jennings down with a Spinning Elbow Strike. Watson pulls Jennings to his feet but Jennings rakes his face. The crowd boos as Hades distracts the ref which allows Jennings to take off some of his wrist tape to choke Watson with before taking him down to the mat into a Headlock while still choking him with the tape which is well hidden from the ref. The ref finally goes over to check on Watson but Jennings releases the hold. As the ref checks on Watson Jennings throws the tape to the floor to hide the evidence.
Chase: Look at that brilliant move by Jennings. The ref comes in he loops the tape around so the ref doesn’t see the choke. That’s skill wrestling right there.
Harvey: It’s cheating.
Chase: IT’S SKILL!
Jennings pulls Watson to his feet before grabbing him into a Belly to Back Suplex. The crowd boos as Jennings goes for the cover.
1 . . . 2 . . .
Watson kicks out. Jennings flips off the ref which draws some cheers before pulling Watson back to his feet. Jennings uses some forearm smashes to Watson’s back which is his clear target. He then goes to grab him into a T-Bone Suplex but Watson fights out of it. He then knocks Jennings down with a Roundhouse Kick before going for a cover.
1 . . . 2 . . .
Jennings kicks out. Watson pulls him to his feet before grabbing him into a German Suplex. He then quickly pulls Jennings to his feet and grabs him into a Suplex with a Bridge! The crowd cheers but instead of going for a cover Watson wants to get back at Jennings for what happened earlier with Biggs so he grabs him into one of his own moves, the Sharpshooter! The crowd is cheering wildly as Jennings is asked by the ref if he wants to submit.
Chase: What a cheap shot move by Watson.
Harvey: Jennings is screaming in pain as Watson cinches in the hold even tighter.
Jennings continues to say no as he reaches for the ropes. Jennings then instead reaches for Watson’s legs and grabs one. He pulls himself up and reverses the hold to the boos of the crowd.
Chase: Yeah you gotta wake up pretty early in the morning to outsmart Jennings.
Harvey: Going to have to agree with that.
Watson is now the one being asked if he submits. Watson maneuvers himself toward the ropes and grabs the bottom rope but Jennings refuses to break the hold. The ref counts to four and he finally breaks it. The ref is yelling in his face but Jennings doesn’t care at all and seems more amused by it than anything. Jennings goes over to his corner and tags in Hades as Watson stumbles to his feet. Jennings sees this and runs over to knock Watson through the ropes. Watson falls through the ropes. Jennings ignores the ref who is yelling at him and follows Watson out to the floor.
Harvey: Jennings doesn’t care about rules.
Chase: That’s why I always enjoy his matches.
Jennings grabs Watson and tries to whip Watson into the barricade but it’s reversed and Watson whips him hard into the barricade. Watson climbs into the ring. Watson is yelling down at him only to be struck in the back of the head with a running forearm shot by Hades who is the legal man. Hades pulls Watson to the center of the ring before grabbing him into Double Underhook Powerbomb. The crowd boos as Hades goes for a cover.
1 . . . 2 . . .
Watson kicks out to the cheers of the crowd. Hades pulls Watson to his feet. Hades grabs Watson into a Kimura Arm Lock. The crowd boos as the ref asks Watson if he wants to give it up. Watson refuses and fights his way to the ropes to the cheers of the crowd. Jennings struggles to his feet on the floor as Watson grabs the bottom rope in the ring.
Harvey: He makes it to the ropes. Gutsy performance tonight by Watson.
Chase: He took the cheap way out.
Hades is out for blood now. He pulls Watson to his feet before trying to go for the Closed Casket but Watson fights his way out of it. Hades turns around and Watson comes off the ropes nailing him with a cross body into a pin attempt.
1 . . . 2 . . .
Hades kicks out. Both men to their feet and Hades misses a Clothesline which Watson ducks. Watson runs the ropes and nails him with the Just Kidding! (running bicycle kick) to the roar of the crowd. He then signals that it’s over.
Chase: He’d better stop posing and end it before Jennings gets back on the apron.
Harvey: Good point. Looks like he’s going for his finisher The Flying Knee.
Watson quickly runs over and climbs to the top turnbuckle. As Hades rises to his feet Watson goes for The Flying Knee but Hades ducks it! Watson hits the mat hard. Hades quickly pulls him to his feet and nails him with the Closed Casket. The crowd boos as he goes for the cover.
1 . . . 2 . . . 3
Paige: Your winners…VICTOR HADES AND MICHAEL JENNINGS!
The crowd boos as Hades’ arm is raised in victory. Jennings and Hamilton celebrate on the floor before heading to the back. Hades looks down at Watson and smiles before exiting the ring. Hades heads to the back as Watson sits up and glares at him before leaving the ringside area.
Harvey: Big win for Hades and Jennings this week. Lots of momentum for both of those men.
Chase: Watson gave them a fight but they were too much.
Harvey: A valiant effort indeed but it wasn’t enough tonight.

"American High" by Machine Head hits the speakers as the fans begin to flood the arena with boos. Knox wastes no time and walks out from the back and straight to the ring, ignoring the fans as he passes them. Chase: Great! I guess he has something to say tonight. Harvey: Wake me up when he's finished. Knox gets to ringside and rolls under the bottom rope into the ring. He stands to his feet and walks to the center of the ring and pulls a microphone from his back pocket. He then looks around the arena with a cocky smirk across his face and signals his hand for the music to stop. Knox: Cut it! The music dies off as the fans continue to boo as Knox soaks it in, bouncing them right back as it doesn't affect him. He then raises the mic to his mouth again and clears his throat before the fans hush up and he speaks his mind. Knox: It's always lovely to come back to my home state and get welcomed like this. People like you are why I left this dreadful state to begin with and packed my bags, headed for the west coast. This isn't about me tonight so lets cut the [censored]! A loud pop of boos hits once more briefly as Knox shakes his head in disgust. Knox: I received word earlier tonight that Evan Envi wasn't in the building. Mr. Duvall took it upon himself to assure me of this but you know what. I think he's full of it just like every single one of you here tonight sitting in those stands hatin' everything about me that you wish you could be. I'm not buyin' it. I'm not goin' to hold my tongue and wait for him to make an appearance when he feels the need to. I'm here to clear the air and set the record straight. Knox walks around the ring for a moment as he listens to the fans reactions. He then walks to the ropes facing the entrance stage and looks up the aisle as he raises the mic once more. Knox: Last week Havok stood in my way of takin' what was mine. Like pipes, Havok cracked under pressure and gave the match away to Envi in the blink of an eye. Well, it seems karma has caught up with him because last I saw, he was banged up pretty badly in the parkin' lot from that brutal car crash. I know, I know... you're all thinkin' that it was me, right? I appreciate the thoughts but I wasn't anywhere near the scene of that mess, I promise. The fans boo loudly as Knox stands in the ring with an innocent look on his face that turns into a devilish grin . Knox: What's done is done, I wish Havok nothin' but the best. I'm not out here to express concern over that piece of trash. I'm out here because there's a man in the back that needs to step out here and face me like a man. There's a man that took the easy way out and avoided me at all costs in sealin' the deal on his precious championship. There's a man who will fight me again, one on one, and that's inevitable. That man is Evan Envi! The fans pop with cheers as Envi's name is said and chanting begins. "Envi... Envi... Envi..." Knox nods his head at the sound of the chants as he waits for a brief moment before yelling over the chants, draining them out. Knox: GET OUT HERE ENVI!!!Knox pauses and waits as the fans cheer Envi's name on. About a half minute passes and still no sign on Envi. Knox begins to appear irritated as he raises the mic up to his mouth. Knox: Don't be a coward. Get out here and face me like a man! Don't get Duvall to send me messages in a weak attempt to cover your ass. I know you're in the back and I'm not leavin' this ring until you show your face. At Test for the Best I put your boy, Gooch, on the shelf for the time bein'. I covered his battered body in paint that read your name. I don't know what strings you pulled to get Havok in the mix but there's no one left to stand in between you and me. I don't see Delikado anywhere to back you up. There's nowhere to hide. Lets settle this once and for all. I'm even out here by myself without The Black Hand to face you on a level playin' field. Coward! GET OUT HERE ENVI!!! I'M CALLIN' YOU OUT!!! Moments pass and still no sign of Envi. Knox circles the ring and shakes his head. Knox: I guess he was right. Then again, it wouldn't surprise me if you're too chicken [censored] to show your face tonight after that fast one you pulled in the ring last week. Your time will come, my friend, indeed it will. I don't care if you're a free agent or not, I won't rest until I've beaten you into a bloody mess and stripped you of that Overdrive championship that you pride yourself on so much. Until we meet again, Envi... I don't have time to stand here all night and call out a man who doesn't have the backbone, doesn't have the nerve, doesn't have the balls to stand up for himself and face his challengers in the ring. I'd watch your back because I'm goin' to steal every ounce of self respect you have.Knox drops the mic in the center of the ring and walks towards the ropes. The fans boo heavily as he climbs out of the ring and the scene slowly fades backstage. Paige: Ladies and gentlemen... The following contest is scheduled for one fall! The crowd roars as “Unbreakable” by Fireflight hits the PA system. Chase: Oh thank heavens. It’s Reya Serra!Harvey: Phoenix Wrestling’s Reya Serra is here to fulfill a promise to former Undisputed Champion CJ Gates! This all started at Test for the Best, and this crowd is amped! There is an even bigger pop as Serra makes her way out from behind the curtains with the Phoenix Wrestling International Title wrapped securely around her waist, smiling brightly at the cheering legions of Overdrive fans. She makes her way casually down the ramp toward the ring. Paige: Introducing first, on her way to the ring, hailing from Caguas, Puerto Rico, representing Phoenix Wrestling, please welcome... REEEYYYAAA SERRRRAAA!Reya slides into the ring, swiftly rising to her feet before moving to the ropes, briefly raising the PW International Championship before playing to the audience. Harvey: They love her here in Raleigh!Chase: Know who else they love...?A green hue fills the arena as "Writing On the Wall" by the Tea Party begins to play and the fans instantly jump to their feet, cheering loudly. C.J. Gates quickly makes his way out from the back wearing his trademark cowboy hat and his "Go Big or Go Home" T-shirt. He points out to the fans in attendance and smiles before making his way down the ramp, tagging hands with the fans along the side of it. Paige: From Fargo, North Dakota, weighing in at two hundred and fifteen pounds... CJ GAAAAAAATES!Gates reaches the ring and slides in under the bottom rope before springing to his feet and climbing the nearest turnbuckle. He points out at the fans one more time before raising his arms in the air to another loud chorus of cheers. He meets Serra in the middle of the ring and the two exchange some words, though they don’t seem malicious. Soon, they shake hands and back away while the referee calls for the bell! Survive & Conquer Wager Match CJ Gates vs Reya Serra
The bell rings and immediately, Gates calls for a lock-up. Reya Serra obliges and reaches up toward his hand, ready for a proverbial “test of strength”, but Serra delivers a quick kick to the gut and then releases his hand as she snaps off a Frankensteiner! Gates is up to his feet quickly, but he’s kicked in the gut again and driven to the mat with a Swinging Neckbreaker!
Harvey: Flawless Neckbreaker! She calls that one Akroma!
Gates sits up, holding the back of his head, seeming to be in more shock than pain-- but his eyes widen as he tries to bring his hands up to shield himself against the oncoming Serra who delivers a powerful Running Front Dropkick! Gates hits the mat and Serra rolls out of the ring, to the apron.
Harvey: I think CJ Gates is completely caught off guard so far!
Chase: As much as I’d love to discredit CJ, I doubt it. I think he expected this from Reya. She’s hitting him with everything she has, and she’s gonna be exhausted soon.
Harvey: Well, she’s on the top rope! CJ Gates is getting back up... MISSILE DROPKICK!
The crowd explodes as Reya Serra delivers a picture-perfect Missile Dropkick that catches Gates between the eyes! Gates hits the ground and Reya lands next to him, groaning in pain from the landing, but within seconds, she is able to cover Gates and hook the near leg.
1 . . . . 2 . . . .
Kickout!
Harvey: That was a beautiful Missile Dropkick and now Gates looks like he has no clue where he is!
Chase: Haha she’s almost taken his head off at least three times in this match, and we’re hardly two minutes in.
Reya Serra is up, sitting in the corner as CJ Gates climbs to his feet. She wears a thoughtful expression as he climbs to his feet and then she charges him, ideally for a Clothesline, but Gates is able to counter by sprinting forward and nailing a Shining Wizard! The crowd explodes and Gates lands atop Serra, hooking the far leg!
1 . . . . 2 . . . .
Harvey: Great position by the official, and AMAZING Shining Wizard by Gates, but Serra kicked out-- but wait-- Gates isn’t done!
Chase: He’s on top! He knows how close he’s come to losing this match! He’s-- DROPPING DOW!
Gates nails the Moonsault Leg Drop to the delight of the crowd! He takes a moment to roll forward on top of Reya Serra and finally make the cover, but again, the referee is in perfect position and the crowd counts along with him!
1 . . . . 2 . . . . THRRRRE--
Chase: Kickout!
Harvey: Never underestimate the determination of Phoenix Wrestling’s International Champion!
Gates lifts Serra up into a front facelock and seems to be preparing for a Suplex, but Serra blocks it. She hits Gates with several hard shots to the ribcage and then nails a Snap Suplex! She hooks Gates and twists her hips, attempting to pull him up for a second consecutive Snap Suplex-- but Gates is able to take advantage of her disorientation and break free, nailing a knee strike to the gut and then a single shot to the base of the neck that takes her down to one knee. Gates hits the ropes and comes back for a Tornado DDT, but Serra is able to plant her feet and nail a rotating Northern Lights Suplex! Again, her athleticism is heralded by the audience and the referee slides in for the count!
1 . . . . . 2 . . . . . THRRRR-- Kickout!
Harvey: Another quick, high-impact move puts Gates down-- but again, he’s out of it!
Chase: I don’t think this guy knows what to do!
Harvey: I may have to disagree!
Gates is up and blocks an oncoming forearm from Serra! He delivers a stomp to her gut and then Irish Whips her against the ropes! CJ goes for a Tilt-A-Whirl Slam, but Serra is able to land at his side and nail a hard back elbow to the jaw! Gates staggers back and this time, Serra charges him and nails a perfect Tornado DDT! The crowd roars for the maneuver and Serra pulls herself up using the ropes. She hoists herself onto the second rope and yells for Gates to turn around once he reaches his feet! Groggily, Gates angles his head toward Reya, and is almost immediately blasted with a Front Dropkick from the second rope! Gates hits the mat and Reya Serra plays to the crowd, getting each side of the audience amped!
Chase: Reya’s on fire! She’s stalking CJ... She’s signaling for the end!
CJ Gates groggily returns to his feet and Reya Sera hooks him for a Dragon Suplex to the crowd’s delight-- but Gates begins to wildly fight out of it, throwing Reya to the mat with a hip toss! She scrambles to her feet, but Gates is able to stride forward and hook her for a double underhook before nailing the Double Arm DDT!
Harvey: Stamp of Approval! This could be it! There’s the cover!
Chase: One!
Harvey: Two!
Chase: THRREEE-- NO! Reya Serra kicks out!
CJ Gates sits up and sighs a bit, offering a nervous laugh as a ”LET’S GO C-J!” chant breaks out in the crowd, though there is clearly a distant ”LET’S GO RE-YA!” chant surfacing in the background. Gates looks at his stirring opponent for a moment before he nods, slowly, to himself and pushes himself up to his feet. He waits for Reya to return to her feet and sets her up for his patended Shoulder Jawbreaker, but Reya Serra is able to hook him in a rear waistlock out of nowhere and nail a vicious Bridging German Suplex!
Harvey: GATES! PLANTED!
1 . . . . . 2 . . . . . 3- No!
The crowd roars as CJ Gates pops out of the maneuver, heavily catching his breath. He staggers to his feet, but Reya is able to grab hiim around the neck and nail a kneeling Jawbreaker!
Chase: A jawbreaker of her own!
Harvey: She calls that Golden Silence!
Reya Serra kneels a bit in the center of the ring, seemingly speaking to an invisible entity as CJ Gates pulls himself up using the ropes one more time. He stumbles backward and turns around as Serra strides forward, going for a vicious Superkick--
Chase: Blocked!
...However, CJ Gates counters, grabbing her ankle and “throwing” Reya, forcing her to spin completely around before driving her down with his own version of the Shoulder Jawbreaker-- the Market Crash!
Harvey: MARKET CRASH TO THE PW INTERNATIONAL CHAMPION!
Serra hits the mat and Gates hooks both legs as the referee slides in for the count!
1 . . . . . 2 . . . . . 3!
The bell rings and the crowd roars as a tired Gates pushes himself off of Serra and slinks into the corner, allowing the referee to raise his hand.
Paige: Here is your winner... CJ GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATES!
The crowd roars as Gates cliimbs to his feet and gingerly moves over toward Reya Serra, who has reached her hands and knees. Gates extends his hand-- and after brief hesitation, to the delight of the audience, Serra accepts it! She allows Gates to help her to her feet and the two exchange a handshake, followed by a brief embrace before Serra pulls away and raises Gates’ hand into the air. Harvey: What a display! Reya Serra gave it everything she had against the former Undisputed Champion tonight, but once again, CJ Gates proved why APW is a dominant brand! CJ Gates has just defeated a champion of Phoenix Wrestling!Chase: These two could go all out if they wanted to, Hrv. I hope this isn’t the last time we see them lock up. Or-- at least I hope it isn’t the last time we see Reya!Harvey: AMAZING display by Reya Serra tonight, but it wasn’t enough! And now, CJ Gates has to get back on focus. He has to remember where his mind is supposed to be!We fade to black as Serra exits the ring, applauding for CJ. Gates continues to celebrate, raising his arms to the cheering fans. Suddenly, "Put You On Game" by Lupe Fiasco begins to play and Gates turns his attention to the ramp. The cheers turn into a mixed reaction dominated by boos as the APW World Heavyweight champion Level One walks out onto the stage with the World title over his shoulder. Harvey: Well this is an unexpected visit from the World champion.Chase: Yes! Level One is here to show the fans something they'll love!Level One pauses momentarily at the top of the stage before making his way down the ramp, his eyes locked on C.J. Gates. Level One reaches the ringside area and climbs into the ring as Gates gets into a defensive stance. Harvey: These two have quite the history, Chase.Chase: Knock his head off Level One!Level One and Gates stare at one another as they move around the ring. Eventually, the two stop, continuing to stare at one another as the fans are giving off a loud mixed reaction. After a few moments, Level One steps toward Gates, pulling the title off his shoulder. Chase: Here it comes!Level One moves forward and thrusts the World title right into the chest of CJ Gates, the force behind it sending him back a couple of steps. Gates instinctively grabs hold and Level One lets go of the belt before quickly climbing out of the ring. He continues up the ramp, never once looking back, as C.J. Gates remains in the ring with the APW World Heavyweight title in his hands. Harvey: Chase, did that just happen!? It looks as if Level One has given the APW World Heavyweight title to C.J. Gates!Chase: No way, Harvey. There has to be more behind this, something we don't quite understand yet!Level One pauses at the top of the ramp but never turns to face the ring before continuing through the curtain into the backstage area. Chase: I hope...Harvey: Whatever is going on, Gates doesn't seem to know what to do.CJ Gates holds the title in his hands, looking from it to the curtain where Level One disappeared. The audience stirs in complete shock as CJ Gates looks completely disoriented to what has just occurred, eventually seeking out the referee for a discussion on the situation. Harvey: I am not sure what this means at all. Is CJ Gates our new APW Undisputed Champion - can Level-One just hand off the title like that? We need some clarification on this, STAT.Chase: I am lost for words, this can't even be real life right now.

Nicky Paige-"The following contest is scheduled for ONE FALL and it is for the APW Xtreme Championship!! First, making his way to the ring... the special guest referee..."Fortune, fame Mirror vain Gone insane But the memory remains The lights fade, as 'The Memory Remains' continues to play. The stage is highlighted red, as fog begins to show at the stage. Heavy rings on fingers wave Another star denies the grave See the nowhere crowd, cry the nowhere tears of honorLike twisted vines that grow That hide and swallow mansions whole And dim the light of an already faded Prima Donna Leon and Demonica rise up from under the stage, and appear sitting on a skeletal on bone throne, with Demonica sitting on Leon's lap. They both get up. Once they do, Demonica kneels in front of Leon, facing the crowd, as Leon raises his arms, with both hands in devil horn pose, as fire burst behind them. The arena lights are now all red. Nicky Paige-"Being accompanied to the ring by Demonica, from Toronto Ontario Canada, weighing in at two-hundred and seventy-five pounds...LEON...ROBERTSS!!"Fortune, fame Mirror vain Gone insane... Fortune, fame Mirror vain Gone insane... But the memory remains The two begin to walk down to the ring. Once at the ring, Leon enters first, holding the rope open for Demonica. Once both are inside, Leon yells, as the Pyro bursts from the four corners. Demonica then takes off Leon's jacket, revealing a striped black and white referee t-shirt. Turning to the stage as Demonica exits the ring and heads backstage... The iconic punk rock song "Anarchy in the U.K." begins to play throughout the arena as the lights dim and a strobe spotlight points to the entrance. Chris Madison stands still with his back towards the ring. Right!
Now!
*evil laugh*The lights come back on as Madison spins around and spits a mist of water into the air and then lets out a roar. The fans smother him with a mixed reaction of cheering his name and showering him with boos. His eyes affixed towards the ring as the crowd begins to sing along with the entrance song. I am an anti-christ! I am an anarchist!Madison marches down to the ring avoiding the hands of the fans which are draped over the barrier. Madison makes it to the steel steps before entering the ring and stands at the foot of the steps pumping his fist in the air to the tune. Nicky Paige-"Now entering the ring the Challenger, from Long Island, New York weighing in at two-hundred and twenty pounds... "MADMAN" CHRRRIIS.....MAAAADISONNN..!!!" The fans respond with a wave of boo's and obscenities as he enters the ring... Cause I! I Wanna be! Anarchy!Madison slams both fists down on top of the steps sending a boom through the first few rows of the arena and then climbs into the ring. He pounds his chest twice before letting out one final roar to the crowd who simply 'boo' in response to the challenger. Nicky Paige-"His opponent..."The lights in the area quickly cut out. The fans are abuzz, and the electricity in the air is met with one lyric. “ALL OF THE LIGHTS”Fireworks go off in time with the bass to the song as a large, dark silhouette appears on the stage. It stands still as a statue as the music continues and the capacity crowd cheers its collective heart out. Nicky Paige-“From New York City! Weighing two-hundred and seventy-five pounds, he IS the APW XTREME CHAMPION OF THE WORLD.....THE BIG APPLE ASS-KICKER, A.C. SMITH!!!!!”The lights slowly come back on around the building, and only now does the big man move down the aisle. He confidently surveys the scene around him and touches the outstretched hands of fans as the chorus kicks in. “Turn up the lights in here, baby Extra bright, I want y'all to see this Turn up the lights in here, baby You know what I need Want you to see everything Want you to see all of the liiiiights”Smith soaks in the admiration as he pauses just for a moment at the ringside steps. However, the multiple-time world champion quickly pops up to the apron, runs to the opposite turnbuckle, and poses atop it to more cheers from the crowd. After a few seconds, Smith pivots and jumps down to the ring, where he begins to loosen up staring a hole through Chris Madison as he holds up the Xtreme Championship. Harvey-"Smith clearly the fan-favorite here tonight as he's showing clear signs of confidence he's not going to be intimidated here tonight!"Chase-"That is indeed true Harvey, he's the Champion and he's proudly showing it here tonight! Madison looks in tremendous shape looking confident as well, we got ourselves a blockbuster of a match here!"The fans on their feet cheering behind Smith begin to die down, as the chanting quiets down while Madison and Smith share a stare-down in the center of the ring. *DING!* *DING!* *DING!* Chase-"Roberts our special guest referee here calling for the start of the sounding bell and this match is underway folks!"The bell sounds and as the two men step back from the center of the ring Madison charges forward on the Big Apple Ass-Kicker and swings blindly as he misses the chin of the Xtreme champion who ducks and turns answering with hard forearm shots. Working Madison into the corner, Smith grasps Madison's wrist before whipping him across the ring but Madison spins and struggles reversing the whip. Smith who comes into the turnbuckle hits the corner followed by Madison who throws a shoulder but Smith side-steps as Madison slams his shoulder into the turnbuckle padding. Harvey-"Well right out of the gates here and Madison is clearly aggressive here."Chase-"Yeah but he can't be too aggressive he's gotta be careful, in a high-stakes situation you have to be smart and on your toes."Smith who backs into the center of the ring shouts taunting Madison as he checks the shoulder, holding it with his right arm while stepping out of the corner. Madison charges as Smith answers with a powerful boot to the face! Madison who bounces like a basketball spine-first off the canvas, sits right back up holding his face only to walk into another seconds later as he drops back down onto the mat. Meanwhile Leon Roberts stands off to the far side of the ring leaning back against the turnbuckle seemingly disinterested in the match itself. Harvey-"The man is doing is job, gotta give Roberts some credit."Chase-"Yeah Harvey, quite the 'referee' we got here..."Smith steps forward smashing another jaw-rattling forearm which knocks Madison back into the ropes, before grabbing Madison and whipping him across the ring as Madison catches himself on the ropes. Smith charges forward and swings with a clothesline missing by an inch that sends him barrelling into the ropes. Turning around as Madison charges and Smith ducks, using his larger-size and strength to send Madison up and over flying out of the ring with a back-body drop to the outside!! Chase-"Whoah!"Harvey-"That's a nice little drop!"Madison crashes down hard onto the outside security mats and clutches the back of his neck, Leon Roberts stepping in cuts Smith off by holding out his arm across Smith's chest as if preventing him from pursuing outside the ring. Smith who not only looks puzzled but suddenly very frustrated glares back eye to eye with Roberts who shakes his head. Smith smirks smacking his gums and shoves past Roberts and climbs out of the ring. Harvey-"The champ clearly showing he doesn't care what Roberts says or does here in this match!"As Smith pulls Madison to his feet he begins unloading a series of forearm shots again, following Madison around the ring who finally snaps around and exchanges a few forearm shots of his own. Smith who gets a good right hand in finally scoops Madison up onto his shoulder facing the ring post and charges forward-Madison escapes quickly thinking, and shoves the Xtreme Champion head-first into the ring post!! Harvey-"Anyone else just hear a gong go off?"The champion bounces off the post and grimaces instantly clutching his head and he grunts in pain attempting to shake the cobwebs out, while Madison throws a hard shin-kick to the chest before rolling Smith back in under the bottom rope. Meanwhile Roberts steps over Smith not bothering to even check on the Champion as Madison climbs onto the apron. Ascending to the top turnbuckle while Smith gets from a knee to his feet and turns to Madison, grasping ahold of Madison's tights. Chase-"Busted..."Smith teasing the crowd while holding Madison above his head in the gorilla-press position suddenly throws Madison like a lawn-dart who racks himself, while landing on the top rope and screams in horror. Harvey-"There goes Madison's chances of ever having kids!"Madison while racked up on the ropes doubles over in pain before falling off and lands on the apron, slowly rolling under the bottom rope as the Champ catches his breath. While Madison crawls to his knees and reaches the center of the ring' Smith stands at a distance before measuring Madison up-before charging forward with a loud and thunderous knee to the side of Madison's face that echoes around the arena. Crowd-"OOOOHH!!"The clapping sound sends fans into a frenzy bursting into cheers as Madison flops dead onto the canvas, rolling onto his back attempting to regain composure. Smith scrambles on all fours as he drops down for the cover, while Roberts drags his feet and slowly drops down for the count... "ONE...." "TWO......." Madison shoots his shoulder up and violently kicks out, as Smith sits up on his knees glaring over at Roberts who smirks and shrugs his shoulders before holding up two fingers to Smith. Chase-"Smith and Roberts clearly not on the same page and seeing eye to eye here, folks."Smith who pulls Madison to his feet throws a couple hard rights as both men get into an exchange until Smith once again utilizing his size and strength overpowers Madison back into the corner with a clothesline. Snapping a few hard chops and forearms that the crowd happily responds with. Crowd-"WOOO!!!"Smith attempts a irish-whip but Madison counters and slips behind clutching Smith in a waist-lock but can't lift Smith up, Smith throwing a few elbows breaks free and attempts a quick hip-toss which Madison again counters and attempts one of his own. Pulling the ropes while trying to use them to his advantage and tosses the Champion over who holds on by extending his arm in a hand-stand motion over the ropes. While Madison unaware spins back around realizing this charges the ropes while Smith remains upside down on the apron in a hand-stand trying to climb back in-Madison leaping to the ropes connects with a sickening shining wizard to the temple of A.C. Smith!!!! Chase-"OH MY GOD!!"Harvey-"WOW!!!"The crowd erupts from the shocking and well-performed move as Smith crumbles and collapses to the outside floor holding his head, while Madison flashes a smile to the crowd who respond with boo's. Roberts now outside the ring simply passes by the champion with a disconcerned look and taps the champ on the shoulder a few times with the toe of his b Harvey-"Great refereeing by Leon Roberts here making sure the Champ can still compete here."Chase-"Are you kidding me?"Roberts simply walks off and climbs back inside the ring as Madison pulls Smith to his feet tossing in a few cheap shots as he lifts him up, before pulling Smith by the arm and whipping Smith hard across the mats-which sends the champ crashing in and right through the nearby barricade!! Harvey-"That just happened! That JUST happened!!"Chase-"Smith's size and frame was just too much for the barricade to hold and it gave way-sending him crashing through!!"Replays are shown over and over as Madison trash talks the champ while fans cheer and scream at the destructive action going on, while Madison reaches under the ring and slides out a wooden table much to the pleasure of the fans. Madison sets up the table as Smith crawls to his feet and spins Madison around, throwing a few hard hooks and rolls Madison into the ring. Smith reaches under the apron skirt and now slides out a steel chair, showing it off to the crowd while Madison inside the ring gets to his feet and hits the ropes.... DIVING TO THE OUTSIDE WITH A SUNSET-FLIP PLANCHA!! The cracking sound of Madison's body and Smith's face bouncing off the steel chair echoes as the fans erupt in cheers at the chaos' while both men collapse on the outside trying to fight the pain. Chase-"These men are bringing everything here tonight!!"Madison using the nearby barricade is the first to his feet as he pulls himself up and slides the chair into the ring, while Smith sits up now split-open from the chair slicing his forehead. Madison turns and rolls Smith under the bottom rope as well, before sliding into the ring and lifts the chair. Madison begins to work on the busted scar on Smith's forehead' swinging the chair violently a few times. As Smith sits up and checks his forehead now seeing the blood flowing from his face, before Madison throws the chair and violently smashes it once again in Smith's face. Pulling Smith to his feet before hooking the arm and hoists Smith vertically, before dropping back and slams him to the canvas with a vertical suplex on the chair!! Smith powers out with a face covered in blood and shakes his head refusing to be pinned. Harvey-"I thought Madman had it there, we had a new champion!!"Chase-"Not quite enough to put away the Big Apple Ass-Kicker!!"Madison and Roberts begin exchanging words about a slow count as the two get face to face, Madison firmly shoving past Roberts who appears upset by this drops down and clutches Smith by the neck attempting to lock in the Omoplata. Smith already to a knee begins throwing elbows into the ribcage area of Madison and attempts to fight himself free. Both men begin to violently exchange chops as each lands, fans around the arena screaming "WOOOOO!!!" Finally Madison after taking a hard chop snaps forward and shin-kicks Smith in the groin, dropping him to the mat... Harvey-"Serving up some payback on a silver platter!"Smith clutching his groin rolls around on the canvas as Madison picks up the chair and places it in the corner firmly, flashing a smirk with violence on the mind as he turns back to the champion. Both men now standing toe to toe as they slowly exchange european uppercuts until Madison grabs Smith by the neck rushing the turnbuckle with the placed chair, until Smith spins and overpowers Madison viciously into the chair!! Madison collapses to the canvas as does Smith, while Roberts surveying the crowd shrugs and simply circles the ring once more. Madison crawling to his feet now showing a crimson mask as well, both men climbing to their feet covered in blood and sweat, as Madison quickly drops Smith with a standing dropkick. As both men once again crash to the canvas' Madison rolls out of the ring and drops to his knees on the outside. Crawling under the ring Madison begins searching around and pulls out... A twenty-five foot ladder!! Chase-"Business is about to pick up in here folks!!"Madison moves to throw the ladder into the ring on top of Smith who ducks out and slides under the bottom rope and onto the floor, Madison still holding the ladder swings for the fences but Smith ducks again and turns around big-booting the ladder back into Madison's face!! Both men showing the toll taken on their bodies collapse again to the floor gasping for air, as they crawl and claw back to the ring. Madison dragging the ladder behind him using it to help himself to his feet slides the steel ladder into the ring, while Smith crawls back in the ring as well keeping his focus on Madison. Moments later both men making it back to their feet after a series of highlights are shown, Madison using the ladder as a crutch crawls to a vertical base in the corner, and leans the ladder against the turnbuckle as he turns back to Smith now getting to his feet as well. Madison quickly rushes in with a series of right hands and sidekicks backing Smith into the opposite corner, Smith fights back with a few elbows and attempts an irish whip. Madison reverses the whip and sends Smith into the turnbuckle and charges leaping onto Smith, clutching him by the neck as he rolls back and uses his lower-body strength to catapult Smith for a monkey flip! Smith flying forward-rolls and somehow accidentally lands on his feet, turning back to Madison and taunts him. Harvey-"The champ landed on his feet! Holy crap!!'Madison charges forward on Smith who ducks a clothesline attempts to whip Madison back across the ring but Madison counters and locks Smith in a front waistlock, before snapping back into a belly-to-belly suplex into the ladder!!! Chase-"That's gonna hurt!!"Madison draping an arm over Smith crawls over for the cover, meanwhile Roberts pulling up a folded steel chair sits down before hunching over and begins the count: "ONE." "TWO....." THRE-" Smith kicks out!!! Fans erupt in cheers applauding and screaming obscenities as they rise to their feet in chants: Crowd-"THIS IS AWESOME!!" *CLAP!* *CLAP!* *CLAP!* CLAP!* *CLAP!* "THIS IS AWESOME!!" Madison begins setting up the ladder in the center of the ring after climbing to his feet, and begins climbing while Smith laying on the canvas begins to stir as he sits up and once to his feet begins climbing the ladder as well. Chase-"Well folks we don't know where either of these men are going but its become a race to the top!!"Harvey-"The battle for higher ground!!"Once to the top of the ladder both men begin exchanging blows again as blood flies all around, fans cheering on as neither man gives up and begin to headbutt one another. Both men exchanging on the top of the ladder, Madison suddenly eye gouges Smith in the eye as he turns to the crowd trash talking and taunting. Smith firing up suddenly shakes his head while blinking heavily attempting to regain his vision through all the blood.
