Why Won’t You Just Die! Pt.1: Vengeance!
Music can be heard as we see Mr. Enigma in the back seat of his limo. Enigma is bobbing his head to the music trying to get over his first loss but more than that, not being able to gain the Suicidal Championship. Thoughts plagued Enigma’s mind during this time as whether he did something wrong or if he had done enough.
Enigma looks at this watch and then through the front window of the limo speaking to his driver…“Are we there yet?”
Enigma’s driver pulls the limo into the space near the front door to a line of awaiting fans and party goers that know when they see the limo that it is Enigma. As Enigma steps out of limo, everyone in attendance erupts in cheers and chants. Enigma looks at them and then as his driver closes the door behind him, he ask…
“You got the time doc?”
“Yes sir…its right at midnight.”
As Enigma looks around, he begins to think to himself like a flash before his eyes. First he initially begins to see images of the match with KJL and the final 3 count. He then thinks back to her walking up the ramp and the mysterious nod.
Enigmatic Voice Over:
Was it one of admiration or something else? No matter the riddle, time is very precious but for you Young Mannie, time in this lane will serve several meanings. On one hand, time can indeed be like a necessity but more so for you, it’s more like a countdown to you demise. If there is not one thing that Enigma hates more than anything else, it’s wasting his time and for you Mannie, you yourself are a complete waste of Enigma’s time. Sure, it’s a match that has to take place because it was booked, but unfortunately, the timing of this match could not have been at a worse time. Like a bad relationship gone from bad to worse, catching Enigma on the rebound of a loss is just that for you, a worst case scenario.
Enigma begins the slow walk inside just after having to settle issues at his own club just blocks away. Many of the club owners in Florida know Enigma to support them by visiting their establishments because when he comes, as it seems, so will unusually large crowds come with them.
One of Enigma’s friends that blew the whistle on Stan, Enigma’s former Club owner last week was also in the place…
“Great people appear to frequent great places I see,” says Lil J with all smiles and a firm shake. “I saw that match last week, but this, week, sad to say, but someone has to die right.”
Lil J was all smiles to that comment, but not Enigma. Enigma was not trying to think about last week as much as he was just trying to get out and have a good time. Not only did he lose the match and a title opportunity, but he also had to get rid of a manager that was stealing from him and his empire.
Enigmatic Voice Over:
Bad memories? What do those memories and you have in common Mannie? Everything. Like a constant nemesis in a video game, all Enigma can do is ask myself, why won’t you just die Mannie! Again, you are a complete waste of time on one hand, but on the other, just one of those people that irk people’s last nerve. If you were a fly Mannie, first Enigma would hit you with just enough Raid to get you to stop flying, then stick you with a pin tormenting you while you yet live and then finally crush you butt end first as you see your death slowly creeping over your pathetic and wasted life. Surely you might think, Enigma, you sure you haven’t tried that already. Maybe he has and maybe he hasn’t but fortunately for you, soon enough, your sorry excuse for a life and a talent will find out not just what Enigma thinks of you, but additionally, what he thinks of those like you and what they have to look for. Enigma is relentless in his efforts Mannie and if anything, you will serve as an example of what happens when you put complete and utter waste in front of a waste disposal unit. Simply put, it gets wasted, put away, and removed from existence.
Lil J notions to Enigma to follow him through the crowds as Enigma takes notice of all the lovely ladies and also as many of them take notice of him. Noticing what was going on as Enigma was definitely taking notice, Enigma takes a longer look than usual at one young lady that was all but the finest female in the crowd. She was moving slower, but was always keeping her distance and behind several other people. Enigma, for a very brief moment thought that she looked familiar, but quickly put that thought out of site and out of mind.
“Hey man,” says Lil J as he grabs Enigma by the shoulder. “Follow me to the booth over here. You will have plenty of time for that later.”
The other thing about this girl was that she had on something like a mask or facial piece but as Enigma looked back through the crowd, no more could be find her to assure his thoughts.
Enigmatic Voice Over:
See Mannie, this is just pathetic. Enigma now thinks that he is seeing things, paranoid, and quite simply dejected from reality all because some jackass thought that this match would make sense. You see Mannie, Enigma could give a baboons crap about you crossing paths with him in the past or whatever past that someone else wants to get their booking charts filled with. Enigma would rather have a rematch for the Suicide Championship or better yet, something even more prestigious than wasting time with a blast form the past nut job like you. Again Mannie, as far as Enigma is concerned, why don’t you save yourself the embarrassment and pack you little bags and get back on the train that brought you to the show and hope that it crashes along the way to save some other lost soul the waste of time you bring with you presence. Sure those words and provocation of thought might be a bit harsh considering what all happened in Spain, but Mannie, it’s just the simple point and fact of the matter that Enigma hates you and hates the fact that he has to waste his time with a child trying to play hard ball in a bard ball arena with a softball mentality. Again, pathetic and if killing you in the middle of that ring and in front of millions around the world is what Enigma has to do to send others a point filled message, then so be it!
Lil J and Enigma finally get to the destined booth and look back over the crowd as Enigma appears distracted as he still appears to be trying to look for something or at least someone.
“Ah, dude, you alright…” Lil J ask as if he is seriously concerned.
Enigma snaps his neck back around with an ire smile… “Yeah man. You good? I’m just…”
Lil J then sits back as the waitress comes to the table… “Ah yeah, ah bring me and my boy here two glasses of patron please.” The waitress in her bunny outfit walks off as Lil J takes notice of her backside… “WOW!”
“Tell me about it…” says Enigma as he glares also.
“Hey, look but ah, unlike you, I don’t have to worry about going home to my girl tonight…” says Lil J, reminding Enigma of his relationship with Red.
Suddenly, Enigma gets a text.
The text reads… “Hi there.”
Enigma looks stunned for a minute and then back around the club trying to figure out if it has anything to do with the girl he saw earlier or was this some joke or a bad omen because he did not recognize the number.
“Enigma! Man you alright?...” says Lil J out of concern due to Enigma’s erratic behaviors tonight. “Dude, you might need to take your tale home man…you starting to spook me.”
“Nah man, I’m good, just too much to think about tonight. Got a lot on my mind, that’s all,” …says Enigma as he tries to assure Lil J.
For a brief second, as Enigma scanned the audience and his boy Lil J did the same, bobbing his head to the music, their appeared to be a brief moment of silence.
Enigmatic Voice Over:
Like the calm before a very bad outbreak of chaos, such will be the case with Enigma being both the calm and the storm for you Young Mannie. You see, some people don’t mind having to be linked to others in APW. But then again, there are others where knowledge of who knows who is just simply not welcomed. In the case of Enigma and Young Mannie, Mannie, you are one of those that Enigma can prefer not to be known that you know him and vice versa. Surely it may appear that you would be flattered to again share the same ring at the same time with Enigma, but know that Enigma never liked you, never appreciated your lack of talent, or the discipline to do what it takes to be at the top of your game. One thing that Enigma appreciates is when talent recognizes talent and Mannie, you represent the bottom of the barrel regarding the talentless while Enigma represents the overflow of every above average in APW.
Enigma looks back at this phone and text back… “Who is this?”
Enigma does not get an answer back to his request to find out who it is. He sits back in the booth, takes a sip from his glass and then, what looked like a good time quickly turned bad. Suddenly, a booming sounds was heard near the entrance of the club. Shots rang out and bullets were surely flying from what sounding like automatic guns. Screams and yelling were abound as Enigma by instinct got down. For the next several minutes, chaos was all around and something was definitely wrong.
Enigmatic Voice Over:
Enigma may not know for sure what can be said here at the club, but one thing is for sure, Mannie, you won’t be that surprising to Enigma. Not one bit! If anything, the blast from the past will be all on you and at the same time, not about you, but about understanding the riddle of an Enigma. When you arrive in Arkansas, book your flight ahead of time for a quick turnaround because what happened in the club that took five minutes will only be for you just a matter of one…two…three…and not in minutes, but in seconds.
When the smoke cleared, Enigma got up from under the booth and as he stood to his feet asking… “What happened? Was anyone hit?”
As he turned back to his friend, he noticed Lil J was not only not okay, but he was also bleeding severely along with many others in the club that was hit by the random bullets. Enigma grabbed his friend and pulls him to the floor as blood is now spewing all over Enigma’s white suit as he holds his head in his lap.
“J?”…questions Enigma to a motionless and now lifeless Lil J who lays in a pool of his own blood.
Enigma looks to now severely battered front door and the surrounding chaos all around him.
Enigmatic Voice Over:
Death and violence are no strangers to Enigma and sadly for Lil J, his card was pulled a little early and all one can hope for now at the least bit is that he was saved. If not, just as there will be no mercy for his soul, likewise will be the case for yours either way. There will be no one to save you, no one to bless you in your final hours and no pastor to pray for you. When it’s all said and done and the final bell tolls; may God have mercy on you because Enigma will not.
The scene fades to black as the camera focuses on Enigma’s cold dark eyes.
To Be Continued!
