Here's a question for the Asylum Megastars, others are allowed to voice their oppinion
Currently the RP limit for Asylum is 2 RP's, 2500 words.
How would you feel of bumping the word limit to 3000 words, with a 2 RP limit.
This doesn't mean we'll change it, just want to know what people think.

For me it would be much easier if it was bumped up to 3000 words for the brand because I can put in some CD stuff in my RP's if it was to happen but it's not just up to me though.

I feel that I like things as they are now, BUT, I would not be opposed to seeing a word-limit increase. If we're taking simple votes, I'd vote to keep things as they are (since it was just a few months ago that we bumped it up from 2,000) but, again-- it wouldn't greatly affect me as much as it would affect others.

So that I can say I'm actually contributing to this discussion: If I were on Asylum, 3000x2 would be awesome to write for. I would vote for that. You could do much more with it for storylines, CD, and for trash. However, people would effectively writing 6000 words. I could see some people saying that is a lot/lead to burnout.
Where would PPV limits be at for Asylum? 3000 as well, I imagine?

The 3k word limit on Meltdown worked perfectly for me, and that's my natural word count on RPs (it's part of why I wanted to move to Asylum over Overdrive - 4k every week is too much for my schedule). Personally I don't find too much different between 2.5k and 3k. Some people will, but with 5k over 2 RPs for each show that's plenty for me to work with.
But if it stays or changes I won't be unhappy- as long as it's not getting any larger than that.

Just to add my two cents, I like it the way it is but it would not bother me to add another 500 words per rp or 1000 words total. I personally think that with it being biweekly now at 5k is enough to do what is needed and why I prefer asylum. That also keeps the total word count as is in line with the other shows. Also if one rp is not enough you just finish it in the second. Personally I think 2.5k for 2 rps is enough. But I do agree for Asylum PPV to make it 3k for 2 rps makes more sense. Just my thoughts. Again if you can't add the quality in a 2.5k rp x2 adding more words in that same principle just makes for more of the same and for some, not all, that's just more room for more whatever and that does not always equate to quality in the rp which to me quality determines the winner not how much more one can trash the other. That's just overkill which to some as well is okay too just not a true measure for great writers to me nor do I feel is needed.

Obviously I have no say on it, but I feel like, for the aims and goals of what Asylum once was, I was never that keen on the stealth 500 word increase that brought it up to 2.5k in the first place. 2.5k seemed a good spread for PPV matches were there WOULD be more to say, but not for the weekly show. The fact that one day it just stood as 2.5K and that was that always struck me as odd but such is life I suppose.
That said, I understand that both brands had intake on Meltdown peeps and no doubt that will factor on the decision making process giving their word count and style.
I mean we may end up with the old argument of the word count not really meaning you have to achieve it but rather it adds flexibility but I feel that every time I've seen it change, that becomes the new target rush for RPs, and that doesn't always add to the quality but rather people just beefing it up because OTHERS has beefed up there's and they fear it will hinder their chances.
So I suppose my question is more about what Asylum is now and its goals. If it is meant to be the more casual pace of the Asylum of old, I feel 2.5k was already pushing it, if it's meant to contribute to the Meltdown absorption and contribute towards the more wordsmithy peeps of the eWrasslin' world, so be it.

Plenty of people who stay under 2.5 with ease and others who end up over that too easy. I can go with either of them myself so I'm just jogging in place waiting for the direction to run next. Bad metaphor.

My opinion, what about a 2750 word count? it's not much over 2.5 and it's still under 3k. gives a little more room for character development, and its only adding 500 words between to rps. Just my thoughts.

250 words isn't really going to amount to any difference.

I like the 2,500 word limit but I wouldn't be opposed to a 500 word increase.

I think what it comes to here is there will be people who'd rather keep 2.5 and some who'd welcome a 3k limit. Tag Team has it's own limit doesn't it? I dunno but I too think it varies for me. It's like playing Face/Heel to me, with so many of one kind I play up to who the opponent is. That puts me at Neutral so I get both arguments for a word cap. What could happen is Jeff could say all in favor and just do a head count on votes. If this isn't just a staff decision. Brilliant idea though but it can work either way so props to whoever thought to even ask..

I wouldn't be opposed to the change. It isn't that much of a difference.
