☆World War Me: A Re-imagining☆
And I’m grindin’ until I’m tired
They say, "You ain’t grindin’ until you tired"
So I’m grindin’ with my eyes wide
Looking to find a way through the day
A life for the night
Dear Lord, you’ve done took so many of my people
But I’m just wonderin’ why
You haven’t taken my life?
Like what the hell am I doing right?
My life
A lifeless zone of land has once again become a fertile stock of mother earth. This sacred location permeated with concrete tombstones had itself become as dead in the years beforehand. Everything had been touched by death, and changed so that nothing here will appear lively ever again. It was a dead land to convey the flesh and bones of the deceased and nothing more. That was before the dirt carried the boot of someone who himself furnished his surroundings with unbridled hope. A man that came from physical, mental and spiritual torment had accessed such a land to wither away into his own insanity. He came to disconnect himself from the rest of the world. Only a spark remained of his inner hope. Whatever force may be held responsible, it has delivered him upon a land more sacred than he could have measured at during his arrival. He had a youth which was built from a foundation different than most. He wasn't involved with the drama of a typical young adolescent male. His past girlfriends never presented anything that he couldn't handle, he rarely had to deal with anyone that dared to start trouble with him. He wasn't going through the motions as most his age were, he was looking for more.
He wanted a real reason to exist, rather than waste away with the frivolous issues that society thought he should be experiencing. Instead of completing his homework, he'd rather read on how to further extend the human mind to a new level of awareness. In this era of his life, instead of experimenting with the latest drugs, he'd rather create his own training regimen and push himself to the breaking point while using the rafters of an old shed to lift himself, chin over bar. For the longest time, he did not care for people and he wouldn't adhere to their default expectations of him. He was to become his own man, to break away from drifting into the background, he set out to become Excellent.
His most recent form of leisure stroll on his motorcycle eventually brought him to this stange land for the first time. He found the dead soil of a graveyard with no neighbors in sight, what at first seemed like an eerie hideout for murders slowly transformed in his mind as he took every step further into the graveyard. He could not explain it, but this place began to feel like a natural home for him. After barreling through a short list of foster homes, he set out on his own and no one tried to stop him. He developed upon himself physically, he wanted a strong standing upon anything that opposed him in life. Exercising his body was a direct way to release some of his natural aggression. Pushing himself to the brink of exhaustion gave him the satisfaction nearly unmatched at this stage in his life. He gradually built into a formidable physique of a man, who only lacked direction. He had built all the makings for success, he was only unaware of his true calling. Taking advantage of his freedom at times and lack of commitment to anything but himself, he often found himself using the money he could scrounge up traveling cross country on his motorcycle.
He always managed to find a way to make money, whether it be a short stint as a drug dealer, racing on his motorcycle, it had become a thrilling lifestyle that he enjoyed. After living such a lifestyle, it began to come across like scattered games to him. He was ready to attain much more, he was ready to fight for a legendary status among a real league. He was bound for more than surviving. He was to not only survive, but to conquer this very world. The man was Joseph Johnson and his life wasn't an easy one.

Act I: My Life
July 27th,2013
Jacksonville,Florida
For the first time in years i've returned home to my loving parents. The thing is my Dad's not doing to well currently. It's like everything is falling apart. My Dad is a Vietnam Veteran and he also fought in the Gulf. The man is a Hero, we may have had differences but he always loved me for me. Thing is I don't think I love myself as much as does me. The guy has all my matches on DVD & VHS along with my posters etc. He says to all his friends how much value they will have one day. Through all the pain he's fought to live. And through all the obstacles i'll fight to win. Who's afraid of the big bad bully? Not I said The “Innovator”. Not I. Smelling my mother's cooking as I arrived was nothing short of mesmerizing. I ring the doorbell and my mother quickly opens it to deliver one of her world class shrieks.
⚤April Johnson|| Oh my God! I can't believe you came it's been so long.... Wait till your father sees you. I don't know what is it about you. But you look different honey. Is it the hair? No, I don't think so. The outfit is the usual get up. So, that isn't that.
⚤ Joseph Johnson|| I'm not on drugs anymore that would be it. I'm a changed man, the thing is that I don't feel the same way I used to. People claim that I shouldn't speak my mind. Afraid of my ideas like i'm getting into more trouble than succeeding. I've done everything I wanted to do in this business. All I do now is go out there and showcase over a thousand holds. There's nothing wrong with showmanship. And that's what Dad taught me since Day One.
⚤April Johnson|| Well, come inside and we can all talk about it as a family.
⚤ Joseph Johnson|| Family? What is Koryn here? I told her to stay in Miami until I get back. Or is it cousin Raymond and Aunt Muriel?
My mother doesn't reveal her secret as we enter my childhood home. Looking around the front walkway going into the living room is Joseph City. All I see is my face plastered all around the place. Being the only child has it's perks I guess. To me this was a tad bit creepy. I eyed an old Halloween picture when I was five years old. I was Billy Idol and the year before that Boy George in all my 80's glory. In the living room was my Father Brady sitting in his recliner and sitting by him was Olivia Frank my High School sweetheart. What was mom up to? I was trying to be faithful to Koryn and here she throws out my first love. Olivia's eyes light up when she sees me and she comes running. She ends up fully on me with her legs wrapped as my Father applauds weakly. Sometimes your parents like to play match maker.
⚤Olivia Frank|| How's it going stranger? Been a long time hasn't it. What like.... forever now.
⚤Joseph Johnson|| Yeah,it's been more than a decade since we went our separate ways. I don't think there is anything more pure than your first love. So, when we parted ways I was stuck in your essence. I started using to forget and all it did was make me remember. The more I used was needed to suppress those feelings. And now that i'm sober then I don't know what'll hold me over.
⚤ Brady Johnson|| Son, when you're done fondling Olivia could you sit by me will you. I haven't seen you since you started using that shit. And I don't want to die without getting to see that sweet face of my little boy. Now, get over here that's an order Private!
Kindly letting Olivia down trying to prevent an erection I walk over to my Father. He looks to have a lot of weight battling Pancreatic Cancer. The doctors have put him on hospice care as there is nothing they can do. The best thing is to wait it out they said. I still can't believe this is how I return to them. With my biggest fan on his death bed. I think God is playing a very cruel joke and I don't think it would be proper to laugh. The tears didn't leave my eyes though I felt them while seeing into my Father's fading glassy eyes.
⚤ Brady Johnson|| Man, look at you. I see that you kicked that nasty habit. Son, i'm proud of you even this rough patch in your new company will come to pass. You are my son that naturally means you got my toughness. Yes, i'm an American Hero. Though you are a Hero in your own right. The fans take you in with a breath of fresh air. That's special in it's own right.
⚤ Joseph Johnson|| Dad, that's touching. Really, I just went through the motions as it's time to be a role model. The people need someone to lead Action Packed Wrestling into the promise land. And not bring it down steadily into the dark ages. This week I have to shut up this Tommy Knox guy. He's been trying to prove that his Black Hand is making a difference. Only thing he's doing is taking. He's taking this business and turning into a representation of filth and corruption. The same thing he's fighting is what I see currently. He's like a Biker version of Hitler, and this is my own personal World War Dad. And, I'm going to end him where he stands. That will be my gift to you, mom and everyone who believed in Innovation sine day one.
I can tell that the mood in the room is solemn. Everything seems to be off and not exactly a perfect image of what life should be. My life was hallowed out in it's foundation. The dry rot was now being feasted upon by termites. I didn't like it one bit though I couldn't change it. This was my own screwed up version of Destiny. My Dad's death would bring about many emotions though it would be with purpose. For God has blessed me with a chance to be reborn. In through the ashes a Phoenix shall rise to soar the skies.
⚤April Johnson|| Oh, honey that Tommy sounds like a real head case. You don't need to feel down if you lose. Having had more multi-man matches than one on ones that makes you less likely to be well scouted. With all those bodies in one outing there really isn't anything you can see that stands out. I mean people can talk a big game about seeing your work. Though they saw you fend off more than one man. They didn't see you at full speed and ready to capitalize.
⚤Olivia Frank|| Everything that comes your way you got to take it head on. Don't think about the outcome Joey. Remember when were dating and you had to beat up Ricky Powers because he said something inappropriate to me. You didn't think of the outcome as he was much bigger and stronger than you. When going into something with all that adrenaline and confidence you truly are “Excellent” and unstoppable as well. The confidence in me was given to me in essence. My family was a life line upon my career. They gave me advice, entrusting in me to go out there and put it to use. I had a great supporting cast that was filled with people who loved me and not people with ego problems. A picture is certainly worth a thousand words, so Tommy Knox will eventually have to live with my image. The image of me branding into his flesh a loss heading into the Shockwave™ pay per view.
⚤Joseph Johnson|| I've built a lasting legacy from the ground up basically. And it's glad to be around my family again. No matter what i've done in the past I ensure a prosperous future. There are people that will try to sway my path. Trying to strand me out on an island all by my lonesome. Though that won't be the case for me. I may not have had success in matches though this isn't Level One it's Tommy Knox. And I promise you Dad that he's going to be in for a real treat.
⚤Brady Johnson|| I know you will give us a real treat. I don't know about everyone else but this is the happiest I been in awhile. Yes, I was proud of you. But, I missed having your presence. You always had a certain aurora about you son. It didn't matter the mood in a room. You always brought something exciting and very happy to everyone. All The Black Hand brings is a dangerous plague. So, I want to cut off the head or hand of that movement. Let's hope they're not a Hydra. One head gone, another takes its place sort of deal.
It was a feel good moment to be surrounded with the people I love. Laughing and Drinking in celebration of my return to them. I've been up and down all my life. Though I see this as a stepping stone toward the right direction. My pain was felt, I have the scars to prove my battles. But, I see the future and I am in it. A victim of circumstances to one day become the face of Action Packed Wrestling. Age is nothing but a number. I was just hitting my peak in the wrestling business. My knees were holding up nicely. If I was washed up I would of never showed my face. It was time to take out the proverbial trash, cleansing the filth and snakes of this company with my own version of The Purge While this promotion was blossoming into a beautiful and illustrious sunflower there were people trying to shift it downward into a spiral. This won't be another Great Depression, the Good will prevail over all the Evil. And wrestling shall be “Excellent” once more.

⚤Joseph Johnson|| My father was pronounced dead this morning. You know it hurts so much that I didn't get to say goodbye. I mean we talked on Saturday in a way we felt we'd meet again. Not knowing it was going to be the last time. Life is sort of cruel like that. We expect to have everything we want handed to us. But, then that wouldn't be so fair. Life isn't so fair. Tommy Knox you want to end corruption when you preach hatred. Hatred doesn't get you anywhere in life. You know why you won't defeat Evan Envi it's the same reason Michael Jennings didn't beat him. He's something of a perfectionist, even though the deck was stacked against him there he went to retain. Yes, you claim he will lose to you. It's the same thing over and over again you speak of. It's your destiny isn't it. It's your purpose to adhere to your own philosophy. Who died and made you King? You got patched into to the Nomads claiming to be some tough guy. But, claiming you are tough only gets you involved in accidents. Speaking like you are some big shot ends up badly. You are trying to incorporate a movement though you are clearly mistaken. You want to outshine “Excellence” when you are mediocre at best. I respect who you are and respect what you want to do. But, you are going about it completely wrong as usual. You are stacking the deck against you with each line you speak. Never in my life has some one deserved to get his teeth kicked out than you. American Highlife more like the low point of the century. I see you as a filter trying to pour your deadly concoction into the blood stream of APW. Lady Overdrive is a bitch, so it's only fitting you want her Tommy. As only a bitch would love something as vile and disgusting as you. And for some reason your bitch gives me nightmares. For some reason your bitch doesn't want a Nomad. She wants to be penetrated by “Excellence” though she's not my type. I don't do drag queens and I have a beautiful woman by my side. No matter what you throw at me i'll keep rising. That is true to who I am. As a man the only thing I have is my word and trust that it's true. Trust that I won't lie to get ahead of this business. I don't have to tell a fib as the proof is surely in the pudding. I was raise to present the millions upon millions of fans with a true message of gratitude. A message that will get them through the day. To stay strong, don't give up and never back down. You want me to retire. To quit this business that i'll love. Well kid you'll have to fucking take my career from my cold dead hands. As the clock is about to strike midnight and your cinderella story comes to an end. And when I beat you, hell I will beat you then does that make me number one contender? How about this? Triple Threat at Overdrive because that's as far as you're getting to your one on one with Envi. You think life's fair though i'll prove to you it's not. And i'll prove that nothing is going to be handed to little bitches named Tommy Knox. Over my dead body will you take away the name I have built for myself. And Ashes to Ashes. Dust to Dust. Wrestling shall & forever will be Excellent....once more.
What have I become
My sweetest friend
Everyone I know goes away
In the end
And you could have it all
My empire of dirt
I will let you down
I will make you hurt
