The scene opens up into a two story gym on the bottom floor in the center of the building, is a wrestling ring. Surrounding it a few cushioned benches. To the right you have free weights where people can build their muscle. To the left are treadmills,and exercise bikes for your cardio. Against the back wall there is an office. The camera view switches to up stairs. The upper level sections to the left have punching, and speed bags, as well as what looks like a few spare bedrooms. To the right you have a doors and above it, it reads showers with an arrow pointing left that reads men, and an arrow pointing right that reads woman.
The camera view switches back down stairs and Jace is walking out of the office with two people about his age. They are speaking to each other for a moment. Jace walks them around the gym, showing them the ring, the gym equipment. He takes the two unknown guys and shows them the upstairs. They seem to like what they see, as Jace walks them back to the office. Jace shuts the door behind them. A few moments later they walk back out, and Jace hands them each a manilla envelope. He shakes each one of theirs hands.
The three men talk for a little while longer. Jace walks to the front door with them, and sees them off. He turns around to admire his latest endeavor.

"This is perfect! This gym will spawn the newest, and most talented newer generation of Mega Stars anyone has seen. Here we will work on developing the talent, and not crushing it. We at the NewGen gym care about each person who sins up, and wants to make this sport their lives. We aren't glory hounds, we seek to see each member raise to the top. How will we do this? Here we will work on everything together, and promote one another in each bout. The stars will know that they may be here to receive help. If one member faces of against another, then they will square off in the ring, and the best man will win. No hard feelings, in fact we will congratulate the winner, and seek to improve to loser. This is not a Do King type club. Where you have a single manager promoting one star, and using the rest to get him or her to the top. No, here at NewGen Rising the best will over come, and the weakest will learn.
The scene fades out for a moment and fades back in. Jace is standing in the middle of the ring, this time with his work out gear on. You can hear the front door opening by the bell attached to the top to let someone know, that people have arrived. A medium sized man, about six foot, two hundred and twenty pounds walks in. He has a bag with him, but is already dressed in work out gear. He walks over to the bench and sets his bag down, and begins his pre-workout stretches. Jace climbs out of the ring to greet the young man.
"How are you doing Hal? Welcome to your first day of training. Today we are going to start of with a few basics, running the ropes, learning how to bump properly without killing yourself. I hope your ready running the ropes will leave more bruises on your body then bumping will. Let's get started shall we?"
Jace and Hal climb in the ring. Jace begins instructing Hal how to run the ropes by showing Hal himself. Jace runs back and forth a few times picking up speed with each stride across the mat. Eventually Jace gets it to two strides before hitting each side of the ring. He begins to slow his pace to a stop.
He instructs Hal to begin to run the ropes. The first time Hal hits the ropes he falls through the ropes, by sitting a little to low, and clipping the back of his knees buckling him in between the top, and middles rope. He goes tumbling onto the ground after hitting the ring apron. Jace gives a slightly chuckle as Hal picks himself up, and gets back in the ring.
He instructs Hal to begin to run the ropes. The first time Hal hits the ropes he falls through the ropes, by sitting a little to low, and clipping the back of his knees buckling him in between the top, and middles rope. He goes tumbling onto the ground after hitting the ring apron. Jace gives a slightly chuckle as Hal picks himself up, and gets back in the ring.
"Your sitting to low friend. You will fallout every single time. Now try it again. This time don't sit down so low, straighten your back some. The goal is to be able to cross the ring in two strides like I showed you earlier."[/center
Hal nods at Jace, as he begins to run the ropes again. This time Hal hits them just right, but doesn't count on how how much is behind the ropes push, he stumbles, trips over his feet, and lads chest, and arms over the middle rope,on the opposite side of the ring he bounced on. Jace lets out another chuckle, and helps Hal to his feet.
"Now that you hit the ropes right, you need to watch how hard you hit, and the force that's pushing back. This force is both a help, and a hinder. It helps you if you can mange to his it, to put more into your attack. It will hinder you, as you just seen, and give your opponent a opening to attack you. That single slip up may cost you the match. Trust me, I've slipped up a few times, and it's cost me. So, let's try it again."
Hal begins to run the ropes again. This time managing to stay on his feet. This goes on for a few more minutes before Jace stops him, and has him go get some water, and walk around for a moment so he doesn't cramp up. Hal climbs back in after taking a short break. He gets ready for some more training.
"Your starting to learn your way around the ropes, and that's good, now you'll learn how to bump properly. The physics behind it are simple. When you land your always going to want to land on your back. You want to hit your back simultaneously with the bottoms of your feet, and slap your hands palms down, with your arms stretched out. This will distribute the shock through out your entire body. Now, while your in the middle of a fight, this may not always be possible just the best way to absorb your opponents blow. What I'm going to have you try is bouncing off the ropes, I'm going to give you a back body drop. Your goal is to land like I told you."
Jace stands in the middle of the ring, Hal bounces off the ropes, ad runs at Jace. Jace stoops down, and picks hal up and tosses him over his shoulder, and into the air. Surprisingly Hal lands just as he was told to do. Jace turns around, and helps him to his feet.
"Excellent work Hal, I'm glad you got that one the first try because that might have not ended so well, if you didn't. So, what I want you to do now is go do some weight lifting followed by some running. The most important thing in this business is cardio...cardio...cardio.
Hal climbs out of the ring, gets a drink of water and heads over to the free weights. Jace climbs out of the ring, he gets a drink of water, and heads into the office of the gym. Inside the office, pictures hang from the walls of Hall of Fame wrestlers from around the world. It's a smaller office then Jace is use to, but it does the job. Jace sits down behind the less extravagant desk, and pulls out a bottle of water. He takes a drink, and sets it down next to him on the desk.
" Man that kid is going to be some one to watch out for. He is picking up the trade pretty quick. A lot like myself he is. I push myself daily to perfect my art form. I have a few rough patches, but nothing that can't be worked out over time. In fact I get to test myself once again this time in a six man tag team match up.
My partners for this occasions happens to be Niobe "Nightmare" Martin, member of the Black Hand, one half of the tag team "Iron Nightmare" and "The Hong Kong Sensation" Amy Zing. Why I'm being paired with these two I have no idea. Niobe and I do not see eye to eye, we have a some what of a short history, but a violent one.
Niobe and I have faced of time and time again. Each one of us has had a victory over the other. Niobe I give some credit to, shes tough. She manages to hold her own on occasion, when Knox doesn't stick his face in other people's business. Niobe has the potential to be a great wrestler, but her lack of commitment drags her down.
Truly I have to say I'm a bit worried about her holding her own in this match. not because she's not capable, but because she has a loathing hatred for me, as does the rest of the Black Hand. I'm worried her focus is going to be on me, and not on the match at hand. She's a opportunist, and I'm sure she will take an opening shot, if I give her one. I'm going to have to watch my back. This I have no doubt, I'm watching you Niobe. If you think, for one second I'm going to slip up, and let you turn on me your mistaken. Remember you will be in the ring with two NewGen Members.
My goal isn't to beat your ass on Over Drive Niobe, no my goal is to win, as it should yours. So you keep your hands to yourself, I'll keep my hands to myself, and everyone will walk out peacefully. Do you understand that? I'm trying to be peaceful, so accept it, and let's get down to winning this match.
Now I have another partner in this tag match Amy Zing, a great talent in her own right. She comes to work to get down for business. She doesn't need to be in the spot light. She comes in, and she leaves. Doesn't really make a fuss about anything. It seems she's here purely for the action. Like it pumps through her veins, she satisfies that adrenaline addiction, similar to Jason Kash. She thrives of the action and that's all she needs, that all she wants.
Here's my concern with Amy though. I don't know her one way or another. She walks around, acting like a bad bitch. This concerns me because I'm not sure whether or not she is invested in this match. Like Niobe, I'm concerned she's going to just walk out on the me. Leave me high and dry. I suppose if that where to happen, if Niobe and Zing decide to leave ringside. I would still keep fighting for the win. three on one I wouldn't like the odds, but I wouldn't back down.
Amy I'm telling you right now, if you decide to quit, then your not the bad ass bitch you claim to be because bad ass bitches don't run from the fight. Bad ass bitches do what bad ass men do, they stay in the fight.
Now I haven't forgotten my opponents for the night. My tag team partner, and member of the NewGen Rising, Brian Hollywood, Anthony "The Future" Washington, and "The Dark Princess" Robina Hood.
Now, like Niobe me and Robina have a brief history steaming from Meltdown. As I have learned Robina isn't one to really to mess with, or turn your back on. Unlike Niobe though, she isn't my tag team partner, and I know what I can expect from the NEWLY crowned North American Championship, I would love to say you actually earned the title though, but here's my theory on that.
The Guv'nor lost interest in his title, for everything he was trying to do, he was trying to stay top dog on Meltdown. He wanted to hold on to the top position on Meltdown, it was his show after all. He didn't ever want to draft because of this. Then Meltdown closed it's doors. Suddenly he wasn't top dog anymore. His title became mediocre compared to the heavyweight title on Asylum. In your last match against The Guv, I could see it in his eyes, he wasn't giving it his all.
He dropped the title to you, sweetheart, and that's fact. I'm not trying to take anything from you Robina, I know it's one tough cookie to hear, but that's the way the cookie crumbles. I've seen you, and The Guv'nor in action, and let me tell you, if he really wanted to, he would have walked out of Meltdown retaining his title. But again, I'm not trying to take anything from you, I know you put everything into that match, and I say congratulations. Robina I hope you bring the same fight to this match, I expect nothing less from the North American Champion.
I hope you defend that title with everything you have, like Guv did. I hope you bring another great title reign to the name North American title. I hope this, and I am not concerned with it because I am no longer interested in it.
What I'm interested in is the APW Tag Team titles, and winning them with my partner, and another opponent of mine, for Over Drive Brian Hollywood. Now, over the last few weeks, Brian and I have become like brothers. I know he has my back, and he knows I have his. I have his trust, he has mine. We have hit the clubs of L.A enjoying the rich life we both come from. I'm free to do as I please now, with my father out of the picture, and Cid running the company. I finally get to enjoy myself, and Hollywood has been a good friend, or rather should I say brother to do that with. I haven't had to many friends, and I don't plan on having that many. So, my trust in my tag partner, newly found partner, and brother is unshakeable.
However, he is one of my next opponents, and as such I expect him to bring everything he has got. Just like I hope he expects me to. What better way to learn more about you partner then to learn what he is fully capable of. What better way then to adapt to learn a new style between two people who are different inside that ring. After Over Drive, Hollywood and I set our sights on tag team gold. We will raise to the ranks to face, possibly the greatest tag team in recent APW history the dying breed. But first, we must face off in the squared circle.
It's ok though because I know when it's all said, and done, We will hold no animosity towards one another, we will not hold secret grudges ad jealousy because this is what the NewGen is about. Helping each other succeed i becoming better whether it's in a practice ring, or I a ring with millions of people watching around the world. We will put on or best shoes, ad put on our best show. So, Brian I say to you, good luck my friend, may the best man win.
Last on my list of opponents is Anthony " The Future" Washington, this guy is fairly new around these parts, as such I don't know to much about this guy, except he claims to be "The Future", well friend, just to let you know the future starts here at NewGen Rising. You can't be the future, if we already are. I guess you get the chance to nut up, or shut. Your failures in recent weeks proves this. Day in, and Day out how do you call yourself "The Future"?
Never the less it's you, and I on opposite sides of the ring Washington. Therefore you are my enemy, and as I enemy I will show you to respect the true future of APW, and that is the NewGen Rising.
Over Drive is going to be one of the biggest matches of my career, and I say this because there is a lot going on. Can Niobe, and I put aside our differences? Can Amy, and Niobe put aside their differences? You see we are already at a disadvantage right out of the gate. Three people who all have history with one another, facing off against three who don't even know each other. Who knows? To tell you the truth? I hope we can. Like I said this may be the most important match of my career, yes even above wrestling in Test For The Best. There is a lot more riding on this match.
It wouldn't surprise me to see the Black Hand at ringside, after the match ends. Hell, maybe before the match ends. There is a member in this bout, that takes up membership in the Black Hand. They always seem to be invested in each others affairs. Niobe, do us all favor, and keep the dogs in the back. This isn't about Black Hand, and NewGen this is a test of skill and commitment to the business. Keep it that way.
I'm commited to winning this match. I hope my teammates are as well. While, I never would put my faith in Niobe, Over Drive I don't really have a choice. The person I trust the must will be standing across the ring from me. I take comfort in knowing that regardless of what happens, I have a friend in the ring. My back as well, as Hollywood's will be watched. We won't be alone in case the Black Hand does decide raise.
Dedication and commitment to success is what we are all about. There is going to be no one to stop our rise. If we won't let you veterans keep us down, Then there is no reason we should stay down, unless we hold ourselves down. We will ride through to success the right way. Through hard work, dedication, the love and support we receive each, and every night from the fans. The good guys is the darkest of stories, always shines through, ad wins the day. We are the good guys, in the dark story, of corruption that has become the APW veterans. Although not all of them have become so shallow, so caught up in their ow image, and that is a beacon of light I hope to be, and possibly the greatest Tag Team Champions in current, no, in all of APW history, and I'm talking about the Dying Breed.
Hollywood, and I want to extend a challenge into the near future, to the Dying Breed. I'm not issuing a challenge for the titles. I'm issueing a challenge for a shot at the tag team titles. If we beat you then we get a shot some where in the near future. You have beaten nearly every team here. Even in a three team six ma tage match, you were victorious.
