The scene slowly opens, foggy at first as though you are looking at the approaching room through a foggy window or mirror. Slowly your vision of what's within begins to clear as we see the view of where you are for the first time. It's a rather large room, designed to be a rather sophisticated office space with bookshelves on either side and various other trinkets and such that you would find within. The walls are cream colored, giving it a rather comforting feel instead of the rather stale lifeless office spaces that you see around certain places these days. You can hear music coming out of the speakers, which at the moment is tuned to something of the heavy metal type.
Hold me
Teach me
Tell me what to do
But I'm not looking for a guide
I can't stand the light
Of the day outside
Feeling so cold inside your shadow
Watch me when I'm falling down
Step aside
Don't ask why
Let me down
Hit the ground
Bet you smile
Deep inside...
You can also hear Niobe's soft voice singing along to what's coming out of the speakers as she taps the pen against her lips, thinking deeply for a second before returning it to the small black book she was writing in. These were the moments that she treasured the most, just sitting in her own home right where she belonged, and just vegging out for a lack of better terms. But alas her time here was going to be short. Even though she had been here for a few short days, she had a flight to catch out to Philadelphia tonight. A sigh escaped her lips as she sat there lost in thought for a while, staring at the open book in front of her.
Last week’s match had gone perfectly well, considering she was able to co-exist with Jace and Amy and somehow manage to pull off a flawless win against their opponents. Those three jerks had no chance against their combined might in that ring, no chance at all. Plus she got to beat Robina’s pretty face in again, which always made her happy. Any chance she got to kick her ass was always good. It was a reminder she rubbed into her face not to mess with her ever, unless she wanted to end up a broken mess.
But…she was still steaming over that bitch Jenny Knite hopping in the ring and choking her nearly to unconsciousness. Even while Evan and Tommy were having it out, she wouldn’t let up. So intent on making her pay for everything that she had done to poor fucking Evan in that title scramble match. Thank god for Chris, though. The bitch would of done the job had he not grabbed her and thrown her to the table along with Evan. And she would of gotten her revenge too, had NewGen Rising not come to the ring. God dammit, all of these people sticking their noses in the business that wasn’t theirs to begin with.
The Black Hand had gotten the last laugh though. Despite all of their hard ‘work’ and their ‘effort’, none of them had been able to grab that Overdrive belt back from Tommy and give it to Evan. Poor fucking soul, she thought. Tommy was fully intent on holding onto that belt with everything that he had, just to prove a point. He wanted to win that belt fair and square, ripping it away from Evan in the proper place…at the next PPV. She had faith in her boyfriend that he could do what he set out to do, despite the opposition from all sides that wanted them all to fail.
”I can’t believe that we have to face those three jerks next week. Didn’t the suits see what we nearly did to them? Blood was nearly spilt out there, bodies were nearly broken.”
”I know, I know baby. It sucks, but they know what was going to happen. We’re going to get them all back. Evan, Jace, even Brian have it all coming. We’ll get what we want.
Niobe let out a sigh, running a hand through her hair, then leaned forward to write some more before finishing up, and closing the book, standing up out of the chair she had been sitting in to cross the room and shut off the radio, exiting the room with phone in hand. The cab she called for should be here already. Time to go grab her bags and head to the airport and fly to Philadelphia to meet up with Tommy, Chris, and the rest of The Black Hand who were already there and were waiting for her.
The scene fades away, with Niobe’s voice echoing over the dimming scene...
"I'm coming for you guys. Time to put the bodies on the floor."
Present day...
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania…
"Such a shame about Jace and his…injuries. I hope he gets better. As you can tell that was sarcasm. I don’t care if he’s hurt or not, all I want is him and his little butt buddies to show up at that match tomorrow otherwise I’m going to go out and find them myself. And you know I will.”
"I know, I know you will. Trust me, I’ve seen how vicious you can get. We ain’t got nothing to worry about though. You, me, and Chris will run rimshot over them. Don’t go running off to the party early without the rest of us now.”[/ color]
Niobe laughed a little at that, nodding her head as she sat down outside at the table of this little outdoor burger joint, holding her phone to her face as she continued to talk with her tag partner, Tommy. She bit her lip a little, running a hand through her hair as she sat there.
"So why don't you get your ass out to this burger joint so we can talk. I would prefer to talk to your persona face to face than over a phone. There's some things we need to talk about...strategy wise and just some downtime for us. I think we need it.”
"Alright, I’ll be there in a bit. Text me the directions.”
The line went dead and Niobe went about to sending him the directions, all the while plotting evil about this match.
”Y’know, whining to Jeff about a tag title shot isn’t going to help your matters any Jace. It’s just going to make you look like a child even more. Bet you ol’ Jeff boy there shook his head as you left the office. You want a shot at the titles? Then go out and make a statement about it, beat someone big. You haven’t even done that yet, according to our President.
But besides your shortcomings in that department, how’s that nose doing? How’s the rest of your face doing? I could of warned you about Robina and how hard that woman punches but…I chose not to. I just let her take out whatever issues she had on you. Trust me I got a kick out of watching it. I did. Because I was glad it wasn’t me on the receiving end of it.
I hope to see you in the match though. Because if you don’t, you’re out. Gone. You don’t show up, I will find you and I will drag you out there myself if I have to, broken face or not.
You always have to go on about my relationship with Tommy and how it’s allegedly overshadowed my potential in the ring. Every single time you go on and on about that, and frankly it’s getting a little tiring. His relationship with me has had no effect on my potential in that ring. Haven’t you been paying attention at all? I’ve been an absolute devil in that ring, a dominant bitch if you will. Just ask Jenny Knite…or go find Robina and ask her.
My word of advice to you is to stop while you’re ahead before something else on your body gets broken. You are going to either be limping into Shock Wave, or watching from the sidelines so take your pick.
Jace, oh Jace. We don’t much care for one another, that’s for certain. And you can brag about the fact that you just barely got in a chair shot on Tommy and whatever, but that’s all you got. Just a chair shot. And that’s all your going to get because Tommy’s coming for his revenge and so will I. We may have gritted our teeth and gotten in the ring with one another as tag partners but there’s no playing nice nice this time. This is all about proving who’s the more dominant of the teams, and who deserves to roll into Shock Wave with momentum. I plan on it being us, and I plan on watching you fall, either to me or to Tommy…or to Chris. Whoever.
And then Brian Hollywood, who had the nerve to pull my legs and drop me from the top rope just before I could break Evan and Jenny through that table. How dare you do that. How dare you. You just made the biggest mistake in your life buddy. You think that was bad? Just you wait and see what I do to you in that ring. Your partner won’t be able to save you this time because he’s just as dead as you will be.
This is a chance for The Black Hand to shine and to prove we are the dominant tag team.
Time’s up for you guys.”[/font]
