I think the whole "Praising someone for their sexual preference being different" is getting old. Cool, good for him, he's "Happy" so what? Yeah it's "tough" to be gay and in a Straight Dominated world but that's for all minority lives, not just those lives.
It's like the public need a new cause to fight for every 20 or so years. Race, Country, now sexual preference? So because their "different" we give them a thumbs up for being confident enough to come out? I don't go around saying "Hey I have sex with a woman! Yay Me!!" but gays get this little celebration for announcing they do it with the same sex? Okay...kind of lame. I have nothing against gays but LIKE me, a straight man, I don't go around telling people about it. I don't want to see men on men, women on women, or men on women kissing in public more than a peck. Public affection is nice but it's also best kept in privacy. Just my opinion...Who cares all in all but Primetime Players will probably become Tag Champions now cause they want to pet and use kid gloves cause people are so quick to shit on someone for their personal opinions if they aren't in agreement with the trending opinions of social society now. So much for the first amendment...
Can't believe in the Bible and only believe the parts you like...

I think it's sad that he had to be questioned about it until he'd had enough and admitted it. As soon as people stop sensationalizing it, the stigma of "coming out" will go away. He's gay - good for him. It's nobodies business except his own. The eighteen weeks that WWE bloggers/media will spend talking about it will only do him more harm then good.

He's gay - good for him. It's nobodies business except his own. The eighteen weeks that WWE bloggers/media will spend talking about it will only do him more harm then good. Not true entirely. WWE has been known to use shit to skyrocket people and get ratings from an event just like this. In Death, they promote certain wrestlers who were close to the one dying. An example is Rey Mistero. Eddie died and he became a Top Guy for a good while. Always pointing up and selling the Eddie's death which helped his career. Chavo too got some push. When Edge retired, THAT'S when Christian became WWE World Champion. They used the retirement to boost someone because of the ratings it had from Edge retiring. With BeAStar we could see Darren Young get something from the media talking good about this, bragging like he's suddenly better inside the ring and as a person cause he came out. Wouldn't surprise me one bit. Also it strikes me funny because Orlando Jordan wasn't "Gay" but he is Bi-Sexual and worked for WWE but didn't come out until after? I wouldn't be surprised if he got fired because they had assumptions. Ahmad Johnson swears he got fired a year after asking why more Black Champions haven't been seen in WWE History. My issue with it all is that gay bashing, race bashing has been around forever, as long as "Man" sought power and began to look down at anything different from their norm. To each his own. I work at Best Buy...it's about my Position in Life Grade to judge something so far from my surrounding.

It might help in the short term but in the long run, it's just going to make it harder for these guys to "come out."
WWE may push him to the moon, but remember we are dealing with professional wrestling, a sport that speaks largely to the 12-30 demographic, the majority being knuckleheads, yours truly included. They aren't going to be as inviting to him as the locker room is going to be and will only be a matter of time before some douchebag says something discriminating to him from the front row.
The quicker this becomes a "non-issue" in the media, the better these guys are going to be. We don't have to agree that it's right or wrong; only that its his decision. He didn't ask me my opinion so I don't feel the need to give it to him. His sexuality is his perogative, but unfortunately, it's going to be talked about until people are sick of hearing about it.

His WWE bio is a blatant lie.
"As comfortable in the VIP section as he is in the ring, Darren Young’s life revolves around three things — money, women and wrestling."
DOUBT IIIIT.
