Well, that's nice. Had my first case of writers block in efedding history today. Fucked most of it away, but finally I got something going now... I will have my first up even if I have to stay up all night.

Just over 49 hours to go. If you haven't posted your first RP, I suggest you do so very soon

Wait. There's a rule about doing two RP's for the PPV or something?

Wait. There's a rule about doing two RP's for the PPV or something? You can't post two RP's within 12 hours, I think. I do think it should be moved to 24, though. 12 hours is insignificant.

Ah I see. Just I've never done two RP's for a PPV before hence why I asked. Thanks Level One.

No, I agree. I don't think anyone is dickish enough to stack two RP's on top of each other within 12 hours, anyways.

Although this has been a horrible week for me schedule-wise (I've been focusing most of my time on one specific RP during my insignificant amount of free time) I should have my first RP up in the early afternoon at some time.

I've always looked at a deadline differently for myself. I don't think I've ever posted on the day of deadline as I've always made sure I got what I was writing up the day before deadline.
Just helps the judges for the given event. A full day to read the rps which usually come in a "Black Friday" like spree on Deadline day. So I take away a day for myself on deadlines. Just me though maybe.

Just me though maybe. I try to do this too! Not just for the judging, honestly, but for my opponents. Sometimes life is wild and I can't get something up much before deadline, sure, but mostly I like to TRY and get it in early. I get a real kick out of seeing what my opponent produces in response! It's a lot easier to produce the magic when you've got something to work with, and... I wouldn't do this if I didn't like seeing magic happen, haha. Third reason: I like to read RPs, but I don't like to read fifty RPs in a row. I have books for that!!

I'm a firm believer in getting my rps up early. I think it's only fair to my opponent so they have time for a rebuttal. I've never been a fan of guys who habitually wait till the deadline to post. I don't think it's fair to their opponents. Now I understand that things happen, some weeks are tougher to post than others but its the guy who waits every week till the end that really gets under my skin

Well, I post 1 RP at deadline naturally because I procrastinate. I don't feel you should be using your opponents RP for an advantage in a 1 vs. 1 RP scenerio anyways and I'm pretty sure you lose cool points in the eyes of the judges, so it's irrelevant to me.
P.S - I do understand getting RP's up early for the people who have to judge them but they said the deadline is at the time it's at, because they have time to judge the RPs regardless of when they are posted.

You don't just lose cool points, you lose actual points. I've given people a loss in a really close race cause they've relied on their opponents rp for rebuttal in a 1 v. 1 scenario. So in the judges eyes... there's no advantage to posting late in those cases. With that said. I habitually post on Deadline day cause that's how I schedule writing my rp. I'm in so many feds, I have to plan it out so that it fits and usually that's how it works. If I was in a fed that took off points for posting on deadline day... I'd no longer be in that fed. Deadlines are deadlines for a reason... you want people to post earlier, set the deadline earlier. IMO people can take however long they want to post as long as it's in by deadline.

Ahaha, feel like I've opened a can of worms now. Disclaimer: I don't cast judgement on anyone who has a different way of thinking/being and yeah... deadlines are deadlines. In the dreaded REAL WORLD I do everything last minute since there's rarely any incentive not. I just dig being able to kick back with my RP dusted and soak in the response rays, etc.
Posting on deadline day (or even bang on the deadline) sure as hell shouldn't count against someone as a rule. That's le nuts.

So in the judges eyes... there's no advantage to posting late in those cases. In a 1v1 scenario, I don't even read the opponents RP lest mine turns into a reply/rebuttal. That would be a tip/recommendation I give to anyone in that situation. Of course, if your 1v1 is against Level-One, you'll never get to read it before deadline anyway .

If I could do another RP right now for the Reaver match. I would especially I have to stick with an un completed piece of my RP which is going to hurt me with the judges big time. I'm so disappointed with myself. Can't help but feel bad right now really kicking myself in the head. It's not the loss that bothers me. It's me having to accept an unfinished RP and unable to reply situation that does.
As for deadlines. I admit that I do a lot of posting the RP at the last minute lately and there's a reason for that. It's because I proof and read aloud to everything I've written which takes me hours to do but it's worked for the better and plus I RP in two other feds as well. Yeah so that's my reasons there why I've been doing it lately.

I don't think any points should be docked for posting at the deadline, more of just a courtesy thing. If your admist a feud and you're always the first to rp, the other guy has material to work off of.

I tend to agree with Madison. However, lately I have bee dropping the ball. My fiancee got severely sick, had to spend something like 17 hours with her in the E.R had to leave work to take her. Was up almost 24 hours. My daughter has soccer practice, school and I have school and work. Also going to cost me $50 to get a ne brake system in my car. All of it kinda hit me at one time in the beginning of August. I will start picking the ball up again. I jsut have to settle somethings. Chris I truly am sorry I couldn't post before this. You do deserve a better time. Next time I will try and get it in early enough.

No one loses points for posting close to deadline. Everyone could post their RP 1 minute before deadline for all I care. As long as you get the RP in before the deadline, I'm happy. I don't understand why some people (not here) make a huge deal about people deadline bombing. 1 RP limit, it doesn't matter if you post your RP 10 days before the deadline or 10 minutes before it.

I got to admit that's something I've never complained about myself on the deadline hogging. Who gives a fuck. Honestly I mean I would much rather deadline hog over no showing anyday of the week. Maybe people are too busy during the week to do an RP earlier. As long as you show regardless of a poor RP or not. That's all it matters.

In feud situations tho it's nice to have an exchange of back and forth to really get some good rps in. Just my opinion.
