Ben Affleck is recently rumored to have signed on to be Batman in the upcoming Superman vs. Batman flick coming out in 2015. It's the official sequel to Man Of Steel. Thoughts?

Looks wise? He's not a horrible choice for Bruce Wayne. People dislike him for the role right away because he was in that god awful Daredevil flop. HOWEVER break it down a bit, he wasn't the only actor in that movie and that script sucked! There are so many petitions to remove Affleck from the role and it's funny to me because people also dislike Heath Ledger for Joker when he was cast. You can literally find articles bombing them for that decision as well and it turned out well enough right?
Christian Bale didn't want the role anymore and I think Affleck should get a chance just like Val Kilmer did and I hated that guy as Batman. I liked George Clooney though, then again his movie sucked. Not because of one actor but because it blew chunks. I find it stupid to ramble on social media like some lonely fanboy when in truth, the producers, the director's don't give two shits in a bucket for anyone's real opinion as they know and have proven that regardless people pay to go and see it, they buy the tickets hating the whole way through the movie and after until it becomes a trend to like it. Lame.

Well I do think someone more young and less known be cast like Henry Cavill as Supes and Chris Hemsworth as Thor. It's not that it's a bad thing. Just could of seen am ore youthful approach since this technically takes place before The DArk Knight rises.

Supposidly Christian Bale turned down 50 mill for this movie.
I think they should have tried Joseph Gordon Levitt to tie him finding the cave after Dark Knight Rises. Obviously without Bale they are trying to keep away from the Nolan trilogy. I think an unknown would have been better for this movie. Ben Afflack is just not that good of an actor.
With Ledger it was more of a shock for a pretty boy to play a complete psychopath. Never was about his acting ability

Ben Affleck will make a GREAT Bruce Wayne.
I also have faith that he will be a pretty decent Batman

I don't know alot about Affleck but I personally prefer to watch the movie before I decide if he is good or bad. I watched the Daredevil film once and I'll never watch it again unless I'm incredibly bored...but, if anything, it wasn't actually Ben's performance as Daredevil that made me dislike the film.
I've also heard from my sister, who watched Man of Steel, that the Superman film sucked so I'm partly believing that Superman would probably make the movie suck. But then again my sister ain't much of a Superman fan so she might be a bit bias, even though she admitted that the film had the best adaptation of Superman's home planet being destroyed.
Overall I'll give this movie a go and I honestly think that people should too give it a chance since Ben might make a decent Batman, since I enjoyed his performance in the Argo film. And also...if the movie fails, don't just blame the one actor. Since I enjoyed George Clooney's Batman character very much even though the script was absolutely shit, lol.

Besides the fact that he starred in Gigli, one of the worst movies of all time, I'm cool with it lol!

I am glad Nolan is out of the series to be honest. First two were good, I think Joker (Ledger) would have been so much BETTER if the movie was Rated R but I get it and why it wasn't. STILL that last Batman movie? Kind of sucked. Bane was pumped and really came off ehh to me, he was someone's puppet and Catwoman was almost pointless. Then Joseph Gordon Levitt...His name is actually Robin? Srrious? Fucking retarded. No comic has that timeline. Just not a fan of that last one and I have loved Batman since I was a little boy wearing "Duh Na Na Na's" (Whitey Tighties) that had little Batman logos on them and watched the FUCK out of the TV Show Reruns. BAM! WHACK! That last movie...

JGL would make a FANTASTIC Nightwing. I would watch the crap out of that movie/show if that ever happened. He wouldn't make a good Batman. Not because he doesn't have range, he certainly does.. he just has too much of a baby face to come off as intimidating.
Why people keep attacking Ben online is beyond me. These are all people who are stuck in the past. Ben Affleck is one of the most amazing success stories of all time in Hollywood. Here was a guy, who was the biggest star in the world, THE biggest. He was dating the biggest Female star in the world. Then.. it all turned to shit. Everything went bad. He lost all of his fame and became a joke. Instead of packing it up and quitting, he waited. He planned to be behind the camera, and has turned into one of the best directors of our generation.
Ben Affleck is a TERRIFIC Director. Anyone who argues that point, has not seen Gone Baby Gone, The Town or Argo for that matter.
Ben built that credibility back up. He became a serious threat in Hollywood and took on some very strong strong roles and delivered. He started smaller, and built up to the point of being able to be respected. His performance in The Town was absolutely fantastic. His performance in the upcoming RUNNER RUNNER reminds me of his short but memorable part in BOILER ROOM.
Ben has proven over the last 5 years that he is back and better then ever. Did Dare Devil suck? YES, he is the first to admit it. But EVERYTHING about Dare Devil was wrong. We are now talking about BATMAN.. handled by WB and DC. This is a MUCH different animal and a MUCH different scale. The way I look at it, is.. it's not Batman people should be worried about.. it's Bruce Wayne. And honestly, Ben will make a better Bruce Wayne then anyone else (Keaton included). He can pull off the Charm while still proving to be a tortured soul without being a baby about it.
Can Ben pull off Batman?
What does it take to be Batman? He wears a mask, so the "look" doesn't matter all that much. You can't tell me he doesn't "look" the part under the mask.. He has a strong enough jaw line to not look like a pussy in a mask. What else? He should be a bigger towering type of force.. correct? Bale certainly pulled this off and he was MUCH smaller then Ben already is. Ben is busy bulking up. If you have seen The Town.. you already know how ripped Ben is. What else does he need? It's up to him to find a proper voice.. which lets be honest.. ANYTHING is better then Bales choice of voice.
WHAT I WANT is a Smart Batman. Have him live up to the comics Batman "The Worlds Greatest Detective". Have him BE Batman more then he is Bruce, and you've already solved the #1 Problem that was TDKR. I'd also go with the Bad Ass suit from Arkham Asylum. To me.. all of that is the perfect Batman.
So in conclusion I say this.. While everyone is entitled to opinions, lets move OFF the "Ben is a shitty actor" and instead offer a more valid argument. That, or wait till the movie comes out and pass judgement at that time.

I have nothing against Ben, but to me it doesn't suit him being Batman.
