College Mascot Mafia [Day 5 - 7 alive - 4 to lynch]

RULES!!

1. No quoting PM's at all!

2. DO NOT CHARACTER CLAIM!! This will result in an instant mod-kill. Role-Claiming is allowed, although it is highly ill-advised to do so, and is strongly discouraged.

3. No discussing the game outside of the thread unless I have informed you that you may do so otherwise.

4. I expect you to be active. Days will have a 72 hour deadline or when a lynch is reached.

5. Nights will be between 24 and 36 hours, depending on my schedule for being online. I will not make nights any less than 24 hours, but if I haven’t posted a night action write-up, you may still send in your actions. However, I expect them to be sent in a timely fashion. Please send night actions via PM using the same PM-Conversation that is used to send your role, noting in the PM what night the action is for during your post. This helps my co-mod and me because we both have all night actions sent to us in case one of us is unavailable.

6. You are not dead until a mod confirms it. Once you are dead, you may not post in the thread.

7. At the end of the day phase if a lynch has not been meet then there will be no lynch that day.

8. You will be prodded if you go more than 48 hours without a post; if you fail to post within 24 hours after being prodded, you will be replaced or mod-killed, and out of the game. You MUST make at least one post every day phase unless your role states otherwise.

8-B. Day phases that are significantly shortened by a kill (modkill or otherwise) will not result in a mod-kill for those that fail to follow the ‘you must post every day phase’ rule. This includes all those that are shortened to 48 hours or less, because it would be at that point that prods would begin being sent.

9. No editing your posts and try to avoid triple posting.

10. All posts must be fully visible. You cannot use text that has to be highlighted to read, or text so small that it has to be enlarged. Although, coding your messages is allowed.

11. Respect your mods as well as other players. Leave your grudges at the door. BLADE is my co-mod, and in the event that I’m not around, he is eligible

12. In the event of a mod kill the day will continue, but the deadline will not be reset. If the number required to lynch changes, such will be stated in a moderator post.

13. No voting for someone not in the game; this includes the ‘Bacon’ vote that has become quite common in APW Mafia. Votes must be in normal, bolded format, ex: Vote: Speede. It is not unnecessary to unvote again.

14. In write-ups, town will be green and mafia will be red. Third party, if applicable, will be purple.

A large group of college mascots are clustered around a pedestal on which a microphone is placed, some more recognizable than others, and many, such as The Oregon Duck seem to be getting impatient. Some, however, seem rather calm, but it is apparent that all of them are there for a reason.

What seems like forever has passed before The Commish, Roy Speede makes his way up onto his pedestal and to the microphone. A slow round of applause rises and comes to a halt as Speede raises his hand to silence the crowd.

Speede: Hello, mascots! My name is Roy Speede, and on behalf of the NCAA, I’d like to welcome you all to another great academic year. It’s an honor to stand before you today, and before anything more is said, I’d like to say congratulations to you all!

Speede: Now, as you all know, this academic year is very special, and before the year is done, I’d like to make some changes around here. But first, I’d like to ask the majority of you a little something…

Silence, until Herbie Husker calls from somewhere within the crowd.

Herbie Husker: WHAT?

Speede: Are you all going to sit back and watch as one conference holds control of quite possibly the biggest sport of the year? I’ve lost count on how many times in a row the BCS National Championship has been won by-

Speede stumbles backwards, twisting and falling off the podium as the firing of a gun echoes through the stadium. Medical staff rush over to check on him.

DEAD – DAY ZERO – ROY SPEEDE – THE COMMISH

As they do, another man takes his place at the podium; that man was Speede’s Vice President of Mascot Operations, Blade.

Blade: Ladies and gentlemen, I really don’t know what to say. It’s obvious that this was the doing of The SEC, and I-

A shot rings out from somewhere off in the distance, coming from a different direction, and Blade falls to the ground opposite Speede just off the pedestal.

Sparty, the mascot from Michigan State, speaks loudly to draw the crowd’s attention.

Sparty: EVERYBODY SHUT UP! Guys, if this is really the doing of The SEC, we all need to work together to get rid of that pathetic conference before they come after each and every one of us! Who’s with me?

Almost in unison it seems the rest of the group agrees to gang up on The SEC, none of whom are anywhere to be found among the cluster.

Reaver is by association Scum now. SCUM DIE!! See it just seems like a reach and you almost have to question the one making the accusation. HOWEVER since it's Day One, I think joking votes and accusations are suppose to happen or have each time I've played so far.
