As you may or may not know, Twitter got a little heated earlier. But that's not the real issue. I hate beef and I try to remain neutral in all cases. Why? I just want to see everyone have fun at the end of the day. You don't have to be best buddies and get along with everyone, but I would love it if the element of fun remained intact. The hardships this place experienced around the holidays were unfortunate and I don't want anything like that to happen again. So let's keep the morale high and let's keep showing these rudy poos (I apologize for the bite  ) why APW has some of the best RP'ers in the ENTIRE game! |

Everything I wrote as Stefan's agent was completely IC though Ant. Stefan would always have beef with someone cos he's that kind of person except that he will think twice who to fight with on twitter when he gets out. Nothing OOC about them like I ever call Jason those names OOC especially being one of my best friends here. You guys rock.

I was sat there thinking Twitter looked AWESOME! I don't think anyone's being anything but totally IC. Isn't this pretty much the ideal usage for the medium? Heating up feuds, ruffling feathers and generally stirring the pot as the fed otherwise marches on? Maybe I'm reading it too optimistically, but it all looked/looks sweet to me!

Unfortunately people in this game (not pointing fingers at anyone here. just making a generalization) can become a bit egotistical. People forget that this is a GAME[/u]! Games are meant to be fun. If you're not willing to enjoy this game for what it is, pack it up and call it quits. There's no need for all the back and forth bickering. You ruin the fun for everyone else with that kind of attitude. Im going to agree with Bailey, lets not lose sight of why we all participate in efedding and have fun...

It's crazy how often people take efeds seriously and get mad when their efforts aren't just praised. Not saying anyone is doing that now, I wouldn't know cause it'd be behind the scenes but I think so many of us in APW, the ones who have remained here have a handle on their ego for the most part. Not everyone can be Terry Marvin. Not everyone can be CM Punk or Goldberg either for that matter and just because you take the time to write an rp doesn't mean it's a winner. Doesn't mean you should be praised for doing what you signed up to do.
This is a bit too soon though because I think the Twitter bickering is just fun. If people take offense to twitter comments then delete your account because I've been called stupid, low IQ, and even stuff that isn't true in all of the better part of 24 hours and I laughed each and everytime. Just fun! A good diss is a good diss so..

I'm ALWAYS in character on my twitter, but as a general rule I'd recommend not logging in and or responding if you find yourself getting too heated.
To me, it's equivalent to getting upset over trash talk your opponent said in a role play.

I've been PMed about an rp, asking me if I really disliked them...I stood there staring at the screen shaking my head...I don't get that at all. Like if I say Level One is a tall sack of constipation...It's not only funny but it's clearly not true. He is one of the best guys IC and OOC I've seen for the talent he has. If L1 doesn't have an arrogance in OOC then nobody should have one. PERIOD. |
