What does it matter what colors are used. It shouldn't be about the pizazz and eye candy but should be about the actual content.

It's easy on the eyes to see a definition in colors sometimes. I know it helps me at the very least not get lost as much when I read. I stop to hit the pipe, hit the toilet or take a drink of whatever is in my cup. So having a color place helps and prevents me from having to highlight shit before looking away. So YOU hush! Also what you say is true but still...HUSH!

Role plays without colors are less FUNN.
I honestly do think it makes a difference. It's a very small one, sure, but if it's easier to read it's got to count for something even if it amounts to a sliver in the subconscious.
It's like a swimmer shaving his legs. Every little thing counts in a tight race.

Well if not having color in my story section of my roleplay will cost me a match then my time here is expiring.

At first I thought this was about the M83 song Couleurs. Nice reference to a fun band! But back on topic, while colors do help the readability of RPs by breaking things up, the use of color or lack of color has never, ever swayed my decision either way when it comes to judging! Now name dropping things I like, that helps every time!

Well if not having color in my story section of my roleplay will cost me a match then my time here is expiring. How would you know? Nobody will ever sit there and say, ''well this roleplay had no color, so he/she loses'' - at least, because nobody would be judging their matches based on that here. I can say that with certainty, lol. However, if we agree that it improves readability (which it does) then any benefits to adding color would mainly be a subconscious one. Do you need color to win? Hell no. Does it help? Yes. It's minor but it helps and that's why 98% of us in the game do it. That's why the show has colors - to make things more readable. Making things more readable improves the flow of the role play. We don't spend extra time coding things for the hell of it. On the extreme side of things, you can throw one of my roleplays up in one big paragraph start to finish and I lose 50% more matches bare minimum.
