Here's a question I got to ask that I've been wondering for months for Asylum peeps. How do you all manage to do a storytelling/CD and do trash talking in one RP for Asylum with the 2500 word max? Right now I struggle doing that and I've never been able to figure how to do that in a single RP. Do you all do more story/CD or do more trash talking?

Write the shoot first. Everybody can tell when you're forcing/chopping words from a shoot. It's harder to tell when you're chopping huge chunks out of the character development, because it doesn't have to have a beginning or an end, whereas a shoot, or "trash-talk" does.

Ah I see sounds like a good tip to go by. Thanks Evan.

For me, it depends. In my old style of writing, I'd write the Shoot first. It's my bread and butter if I had one. For the newer style which I'm still not sure if it's better or not but I want to try and mix them together a bit more. I am still working on that and new ideas as I go forward and have loved the new fresh feel of the current writing but I think it also takes away on the shoot a bit, I'll figure it out eventually. Haha

First off, I don't know how you Asylum folk do it. Trying to make a RP 2500 is just not enough for me. I feel like I'm neglecting at least one aspect of my role play.
With that said, you figure out how much time you want to spend on each aspect and then write to it. Run it through a word checker every so often. It's not much of a challenge to stay under the limit that way if you have good control.
I'd start with the CD first, just in case you go a bit over. For me, it's easier to curve your trash talk to a limit than the character development portion.

I had a great time writing on OD that first show "back" against Havok. I wish he'd have put out more but I enjoyed being able to do more with a given rp. I just have memories for Asylum, love for Biggs and it's been my choice of show from day one. That "Underdog" Indy feel drew me towards it.

I usually dedicate 1,000-1,5000 words to CD at the beginning of my RP's and then make the rest trash talk. Read the RP that I did against T-Marv last week called Emperor Marvo Part I. The writing style was different (I used a script format for the first time ever), but that is a good example of doing both in my opinion.

I always wondered if it would work to do one char development focused roleplay with minimal trash talk then one minimal CD and majorly trash talk. I haven't tried it though. I have tried all trash talk roleplays and while they yield good results, they are missing that story that could put them over the edge so just doing one and one wouldn't work.

50/50 is about rite but the cd only works if its relevant to the match in my opinion. its about selling ur opponent and the current situation so going with the flow really works well.

Really I thank you all for the advice as I've been wondering for months how you guys do CD/Storytelling and trash talk in one RP. I will try to work on that in my October RP especially how rusty I am when it comes to Storytelling/CD RP's.

I will try to work on that in my October RP especially how rusty I am when it comes to Storytelling/CD RP's. Your storytelling/CD could grow leaps and bounds if you properly incorporate the prison sentence into it. For example... "As the corrections officer yelled "Lights out!," every sensation of freedom and liberty escaped my physical frame. Jail wasn't where I wanted to be, but because the court system is just, it is exactly where I belonged. As the frigid cell grew dim, I wrestled mentally for what seems like hours before I went into a slumber."See how those little sentences can open up a whole new world and get the creative juices flowing? Use this prison angle to your advantage! I know I would.

I have thought about doing a first person view RP a few times before but I feel it's too risky to try and do on the Asylum and PPV shows plus I worry about repeating myself which is something I've been trying to avoid quite a bit in my RP's lately. Maybe I'll give it a shot on the house show thread on a first person view RP first as it's something I've never ever done in my life.
I guess I need to be more confident on doing a CD/Storytelling RP as well as trash talk as well is another issue of mine. This is the first angle I've ever done in my fedding career because I always end up doing other things and I never continued doing the same stuff in every RP I've done in any fed before.
Yeah I really do see what you mean about the ending being more creative than I usually do them amongst everything else you advise me to do. It's something I must do to get my confidence back up. Thanks Ant.

Thanks Ant. No problem and yeah give it a shot. There's not a right or wrong way to RP in my opinion. As long as you are aiming to be creative and having fun, that's all that matters.

Prison and Jail are two completely different places. Just thought I'd throw that out there, there is a HUGE difference in the two and most people mix the two. Just saying.

Young Moolah! Kissing like Birdman and Wayne who claimed it was "Black Mafia" shit? Yeah no mafia I have ever heard of kiss on the lips. Even the security in the picture looking odd at them. Homo-Hop anyone? I bet they lick, lick, lick it like a "Lollipop". Drake as the meat, Birdman and Wayne as the bread....Good damn I dislike mainstream rap...
