Hollywood's Office
The scene opens up inside the Executive office of Brian Hollywood. Hollywood can be seen at his desk, his eyes glued on his computer screen.
"There's got to be something here." Hollywood says out loud to himself.
At that moment, Lukas Montana walks into the office. Hollywood sees him enter and then goes back to looking at his computer. Lukas shrugs his shoulders as he walks towards Hollywood.
"What no welcome?" Lukas says.
Hollywood continues to stare at his computer not even acknowledging Lukas.
"Whatever. I see how it is." Lukas says as he pulls up a seat next to Hollywood.
"Even after all this time we've been working together, I'm still not exactly used to you just walking through my office doors." Hollywood says bluntly.
"Well have it your way then." Lukas starts to say. "So what is it that your glancing at anyway? You haven't really budged even with my presence.
"I think we've looked enough into Foreman's files enough." Hollywood states. "This file, however, I retrieved from your records. It wasn't easy, but I decided I was going to go deeper into your employee history."
Lukas leans forward and takes a closer look at the file.
"Merrick Tracy?" Lukas replies puzzled. "Tracy's not even one of the files we pulled into investigation. I'm rather curious to hear your explanation on this one."
Hollywood points to a certain part of the files.
"You see that?" Hollywood asks Lukas.
"Yea, but what credential interests you there?" Lukas asks back. "That was several years ago. Merrick was one of my first employees."
"How do you think your so called empire became to be?" Hollywood responds. "In my opinion, Merrick played a huge role in how your enterprise became so big. Sure, he was one of your first employees, but the Chair seems to know your business inside and out."
Lukas stands up and shakes his head.
"I think you've completely lost your mind Hollywood!" Lukas exclaims as he walks towards the coffee table. "You can't be serious. Merrick was not only one of my first employees, but the man was just stepping foot into the business world. He was only a rookie.."
"Was he?" Hollywood questions. "I think that's the perfect cover to me. I've always learned if you wanted to learn the best of your target, that patience was one of the biggest keys. In my opinion, he's the perfect suspect of being the Chair. A man that spent years helping you grow an Enterprise, would also learn to know you perfectly. Maybe Merrick didn't have the knowledge you claim he didn't have, but I think the rookie card was the best play here. It would be the best way to assume that you were dealing with a harmless man. That's the best way to make someone drop their guard. All he had to do was follow your lead and help make the biggest decisions when the perfect time presented itself. I mean, the man put in his two weeks to pursue other avenues? You never heard from him after that? The man would have believed in credentials. If he truly wanted to one day run a business of his own, you would have been used as a reference in his resume. I'm telling you Lukas, it all fits."
Lukas remains quiet for awhile. He walks back over to the desk and sits back down and thinks. After a few moments, a convincing look crosses his face.
"I can't believe I'm saying this but you may be on to something." Lukas says. "I do find that rather odd that he just up and disappeared. He had a strong promising career in the business world. Merrick knew that he could make millions..even billions of dollars if he made the right investments. I never did hear from him after that. I mean, the two of us were pretty close. He was practically my right hand man. The guy never did once make a mistake."
Hollywood nods his head in agreement.
"Yes, and it would make sense just how much the Chair knows about your Industry Lukas." Hollywood replies. "I find it rather convenient that he knows so much about a Corporation that most everyone knows so little about. You said it yourself Lukas, you couldn't fully trust in any of your employees with how much information you knew about your own company. Just some of your records alone were so high risk, it would make any Executive sweat. Knowing that it can be used against you later on. There isn't an Executive alive dumb enough to make that risk. That's why an Executive never truly gives away all their knowledge about their Corporation. Their secrets and what they know about their own businesses can destroy them. Why do you think you've never succeeded in getting rid of me?"
Lukas smiles and shakes his head.
"No need to rub that in my face." Lukas says. "However, I see your point clearly. So how do we go about this then?"
Hollywood stares at his computer screen and thinks.
"I don't know yet." Hollywood responds. "We need to think about all the angles here before we jump into anything. We need to study Merrick's file thoroughly before we make anymore conclusions."
Hollywood stands up from his chair.
"Let's take a break and talk more about this over lunch." Hollywood says. "If Merrick truly is the man behind this, we need to do our homework. If this man spent years planning out his moves, then we have the time to figure this thing out and see it through that we don't make any mistakes. There are no room for mistakes where this is going..."
Hollywood and Lukas walk out of the office and walk down the hallway as the scene slowly fades to black...

The Shoot
It shouldn't come to a surprise to anyone that Jace Savage and I are the number one contenders to the APW Tag Team Championship. We've been telling people for weeks that were not just some random tag team destined to fail. We didn't team up just for the sake of teaming up. Jace and I, we have a lot in common. We share the same interests. We share the same goals. We are fighting for the same cause. Jace and I want to succeed in APW. We know what's at stake. However, the difference is we see past the tag team matches. We are striving to better each other. We look out for one another. If one of us gets a shot at progressing through the ranks of APW, we support each other. The NewGen didn't come together for the sake of forming a tag team. What Jace and I have formed is a brotherhood. We are brothers who are looking out for the well being of each other. Helping out the other is what we are all about. We are both passionate about wrestling. We are both passionate about our fans and giving them what they want to see. Jace and I are not just a tag team, we are blood. We have similar lifestyles and we've been through more than your average every day person. Life altering events that shape a person's life, we've been through that. We share the same pain, the same hobbies, the same expectations. Our expectations exceed the other. We both want to rise to the top of APW, but we want to help the other in achieving that. We aren't about turning on the other or betraying the other when opportunity comes knocking on the door. No, we seize it together. Together, we root for the success of the other. I don't care if Jace got a world title shot and I didn't. I would support him all the way and help his climb in obtaining that goal. You don't find that in your every day average tag team. In fact, most have betrayed their so called friends in the event that the certain opportunity presented itself. History and statistics have shown that. It's a repeated cycle. A system. A systematic historical record that Jace and I are enthusiastically happy to prove wrong.
It's no coincidence that the Unforgiven are the other contenders to the tag titles. I was expecting them to seize the moment. I mean, a moment that hasn't exactly been presented to them. It's been awhile since the Unforgiven had an opportunity to seize. Make no mistake about it though, they will find out that it's an opportunity that simply won't work out for them. You see, I'm not exactly a stranger when it comes to the Unforgiven. That's why this path that has presented itself, was destined to happen. Unforgiven, it's no accident that our paths are crossing once more. Karma has always been known to be a bitch and that's exactly what's going to happen when we square off for the tag team titles. What, did you guys think it was an accident that I just stroll into the picture? I've had this move planned out for quite sometime. It was only a matter of execution and planning my moves carefully in order to sell the play. That moment will soon present itself to prove just how long I've been ready for this event and why I have prepped so long for this. That opportunity is not very far away...
In the meantime, I find myself in a triple threat match this week. My opponents? Nathan Havok and Tatsu Okimoto. One man who has been in APW for quite some time, Nathan, and another who is just arriving, Tatsu. Nathan has found himself some success here in APW. He's been through the ropes a time or two. However, Tatsu? He hasn't exactly seen his share in APW as of yet. I promise, though, that all changes this week.
Nathan Havok is a man who will do what it takes to win. He's serious when it comes to advancing up the ranks of APW. He knows what survival is all about. Make no mistake though, Nathan, I'm not exactly unfamiliar with survival. I know how to survive. I know what it takes to win. I am about results and I'm about determined as anyone in the APW locker room. My reputation proceeds me. If anyone knows me well enough, they know that I know a thing or two about success. That's why, Nathan, your going to have your hands full this week. I know your seeking momentum. However, it's momentum that will simply be a bust for you this week. Your havok will be your undoing as I use my own resources to win our little bout this week. For you Nathan, you don't even have to be pinned for me to win. Hell, how does it feel Nathan, that you may not have any control of the outcome of this match? The only control of what happens with you will be where you find yourself in this match. It's the fate you don't know about. Whether or not you will be on the receiving end of an Executive Promise is anyone's guess. Either way, you'll be on the receiving end of a loss after our triple threat match. The only havok you will be involved in is my own upon you. You won't see it coming. The Executive Promise, you never do really see it coming until it's too late. I promise you no different than that Nathan. On Thursday night, your fate rests in my hands.
Then theirs Mr. Tatsu Okimoto. A man who is knew to the APW scene. Tatsu, you haven't exactly seen what can happen first hand when you step into the ring with me. I'm a very calculated man and you'll find that out soon enough. You don't even have to be involved with the equation of the end result. You may feel helpless when your down and out and are not pinned or submitted. See, the thing with this match Tatsu, is you always have to be aware of what's happening. The triple threat is exactly that. It's not a one on one. A triple threat always presents the third person. One doesn't even have to have anything to do with how a match ends. In the end, though, it all comes down to what one man will do with the other. Why you are busy complementing Robina Hood on her successes, you see past your own. I am not worried about the successes of one superstars achievement in APW. I could fight the world champion or a former world champion of APW and it wouldn't faze me any differently. In the end, your still a man. A man who is very capable of making mistakes. Everyone here in APW has lost a match here and there, including myself. I'm human, I will admit that. However, it's about learning from your mistakes and perfecting them so that you don't make them again. I am a strategist and I take pride in being one step ahead of my opponents. That is why I don't spend time wasting on listening someone boast about their accolades and achievements. Instead, I'm focused on finding their weaknesses. Everyone has them, including myself. Sure, the same can be said about myself. However, I use my accolades and my accomplishments to my advantage. You spend enough time convincing your opponent on how skilled you are, and they look so hard into your skills that you boast enough about, instead of finding a way to defeat you in that ring. I'm a man who wrestles to win. I'll do anything in my power to find a way to win no matter what the cost. I'm a risk taker and you've got to be able to take risks to win. That's why I fight with nothing to lose. It's all about mentality and for me, I am one of the best in the business. Endurance and will power is only the beginning of your troubles. I am manipulative and calculating and you'll see that first hand when you step into that ring with me on Thursday.
Havok, Okimoto, you two just happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. I do what I must to win. Ever since I stepped foot in APW for the first time, my every move has been calculated. That is why I am the best in the world at what I do. This Thursday night on Overdrive, there is no bullshit. There is only one result. That result is an Executive Promise followed by my hand raised after tha match. This is merely another match on my journey to the top of APW. Come time for Thursday, you two will witness first hand what it is like to be caught off guard. That's the best part of it. You truly will never know when the end happens until it happens. Either way, after it is all said and done, it will be yours truly, Mr. Executive himself, Brian Hollywood, who will reign victorious. You can bet that as an Executive Promise! I'll see you gents soon.
