Hey and glad to see everyone doing well but just wanted to let all know...
1. My son is adjusting very well with me and the family.
2. Already playing football (linebacker) and now basketball in new school.
3. Already got like several girls trying to track him down and me having to have that daddy son talk to ah just wait. That was hilarious. On the other hand, the other 13 year old has like double/triple the amount of girls clamoring at him.
Again, as they get older, the gray hair continues to gain ground as well.
4. Already a straight A student with the couple of B's exception. But I am not complaining.
So just saying peeps, the time we spend is already paying off and he is loving it. In his first game of football, dude made like 8-10 tackles, caused 2 fumbles and recovered one of those. He's just 13 and in that already wearing my shoes. Let's just say, his show size matches his age so I can't act old and say act your shoe size because well...yeah.
Just letting you all know, I am fighting the feeling to return too soon like a injured reserve. I have to move as well in a month too because of the addition. But again, I got my son with me and he is doing more than well and in time, Enigma will make his triumphant return.
Holla and keep me and the family in you prayers. It is an adjustment!

Yea, but trust me, I am always lurking and the urge is ever growing but that is a good thing to reinvent the desire and redirect the level of focus.
I needed this for the writings sake as well.

I'm glad your son is adjusting well. My daughter was 3 when I got her from her mom, she took a little time to adjust. Now she plays Soccer and is doing well in school. Not trying to highjack the thread lol. There are just a lot of similarities here in APW.
Jeff with all the fathers here that are taking care of there kids, there should be a father discussion thread lol. It always makes me smile knowing there are good fathers out there, to often you hear a child's father has taken off.
Good Job and keep it up, we will be here for the glorious return.

Thanks Jace and others. I agree and trust me, that attempt to bad mouth the dad in this case happened as well, but God was favorable in my case. Now that one of my adjustment tools has broken (again, the xbox 360) we shall see what's next.
We all have to move within the next month because of the addition to the family to a 3 bedroom so at the least, my return seems to be on hold at least til October just to update you all on the time frame. Hopefully Xfinity has be back up and running in a short period of time but either way, we are having to adjust a LOT! The boy eats like a lion! I guess this is payback from me eating my mother out of a house and home on a limited income.
The only bad thing I guess is adjusting to his brothers. One of them is greatful for him and the other is not so grateful. He is filling more pride than appreciation so that is adding to my gray hairs right now and the financial adjustment.
It ain't easy, but we are managing so to you all keep us to those that do so in prayer because with all of his sports related expenses, school projects, and food cost, it's definitely a noticeable realization to the bills.
