(OOC: Color option wasn't working today for some reason)
::Broken statues of leaders of the Soviet Union, such as Vladimir Lenin and Joseph Stalin, lay in an walled off stretch of land alongside other Soviet era statues and monuments like the famous hammer and sickle that served as the USSR’s emblem for over 50 years and red stars. The entire place seems like a graveyard dedicated to the Soviet Union. This place was seen in the James Bond movie Goldeneye, staring Pierce Brosnan.::
::Night has fallen over the area. No one is here, except for the statues and monuments now laying in ruin, and one person. The only one person here is the current reigning and defending APW North American Champion “the Hong Kong Sensation” Amy Zing.::
::Amy is wearing a long coat and jeans as she walks through down the square. She walks past a broken statue of the Soviet hammer and sickle. She turns to look ahead, into the camera in front of her.::
“On August 27th, 2013, I did the one thing no one except for me and all my fans thought I could ever do. I did something I have spent a career attempting to do only to have failed time and time again. On that one night, I showed all those people that said I had no passion, no desire, and no drive that they were wrong. On that night, the night I fought so long for, I showed the entire world that I was more than just some silly girl trying to make it as a wrestler with her kicks and flying and never say die attitude. On that night, the greatest moment of my entire career, I beat perfection. That night, the night that made all the blood, sweat and tears, all the sacrifices and struggles worth it, I did what for so very long was said to be the one thing I could never do.”
::She opens her coat to reveal the APW North American Championship around her waist and the white blouse she is wearing underneath. She pulls the title belt off from around her waist and raises it as high as she can above her head.::
“That night, August 27th, 2013, in The Palace in Auburn, Michigan, I became the APW North American Champion.”
::“The Hong Kong Sensation” lowers the championship a bit, holding it at the same level as her head. She taps the belt’s large center plate.::
“I did what the majority of the wrestling world, from critics to announcers to writers be they on radio, television or the bloody Internet, thought I was incapable of doing and on that night I beat you to become the NEW North American Champion.”
::Amy flips the title onto her right shoulder. She brushes the plate with the tips of the fingers on her left hand, looking at the title.::
“For so long we heard you talk about how this championship was yours. Everyone talked about how I always came so close to winning, but was never able to get that one big victory; the victory that would finally make me a champion. This, Robina, was your championship to win. From the moment she first got her claws into you, Sienna Harrison was grooming you to become North American Champion. And you did Robina. You won this championship like she always said you would.”
::Amy nods and looks away from the title and back into the camera. Her left hand lowers.::
“Honestly, it was sort of like the Mayor and Faith in the third season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Now if you never seen the show, Buffy is The Slayer, a girl who is chosen by fate to fight monsters and demons and other evil things, though usually slays a vampire or two per episode. Anyway, when a Slayer is killed a new one is chosen. Buffy died and was brought back, then another Slayer, Kendra, was chosen and she was killed and then Faith became a Slayer. Faith had a rough childhood, and really just reveled in the strength, power and constant fighting of being the Slayer. She was the opposite of Buffy, who saw her role as the Slayer as a her destiny and as her responsibility, one she did not particularly care for at times due to it really messing up her life, but still willingly did what destiny chose her for. They were opposite sides of the same coin really. And then there was the Mayor, who was mentioned a few times and was seen thought of as scary because some people in town seemed afraid of him, but we didn’t see him until a bit later. The Mayor was this evil person hiding behind this image as a conservative, family man politician. Anyway, they teamed up after Faith accidentally killed the Deputy Mayor and then sent his chief vampire minion to kill her and Buffy, and Faith kills him and then goes to the Mayor and ends up becoming his new right hand minion. He became her father figure, and turned an already disturbed and violent girl into a full blown psychopath. It just sort of reminds me how Sienna and you appeared to be with her just giving you support and praise. I tried to make friends with you, but that clearly was a waste of effort as our history proves.”
::Amy sighs and shakes her head. She closes her eyes and takes a deep breath as she always does when this happens. Exhaling slowly and opening her eyes, she tries not to look too embarrassed.::
“In a lot of ways you and I are the opposite sides of the same coin. Maybe we do not have the greatest win/loss record, maybe we are not the most dominant wrestler here, but we just keep trying to prove ourselves. The only difference is who we are and how we came to be where we are now.”
::Again, she looks at the belt on her shoulder for a moment. As she speaks, she starts sounding a little angry, even resentful.::
“No one groomed me to become champion. No one looked at me and said “That Amy Zing is going to be my star and the face of the company”. No one gave me opportunity after opportunity all the while grooming me to be the focus pointYes, I had opportunities, but every chance I had was either because I had earned it, or due to fan support, because, and I thank heaven every day for this, they seem to like me despite my less than stellar win/loss record or my “humble little miss nice guy” act, as someone once called it.”
::As she speaks, her tone returns to normal, losing the anger and resentment.::
“There was no way that you were not going to end up North American Champion Robina. If Sienna Harrison had to referee the match herself, if she had to move mountains or get the Earth to spin backwards, she was going to do it to put the belt on her “Perfect Megastar”, just as she did with Young Mannie, her first attempt at a “chosen one”. And just like Mannie, you failed expectation. Honestly, it amazes me she is actually endorsing him over on Sunday Night Asylum when literally anyone would probably have been a better choice.”
::Amy adjusts the title on her shoulder.::
“The proof of your failure is in my possession. This championship, in her eyes, was meant to be yours. Even without Monday Night Meltdown here to be built around Robina Hood, she still probably expected a long and successful reign as North American Champion from you. And yet, where is she? She left you because she knows you will fail. You always seem to fail her Robina.”
“Blame Shione or make excuses if you like, but the simple fact of the matter is that I beat you. Every single time we have stepped in the ring and fought with something on the line, you lost. Our first match, the ladder match, you had one shot, one chance to save her from my getting her in the ring and kicking her head off and you failed. You failed to beat me and even take enough out of me to allow her to win. And believe me Robina, there was no way on this planet you were going to win that match. But there is no greater testament to your failing her than the simple fact that the person she probably hated the most, after randomly deciding to hate me because she is just a gigantic bitch, is walking around with the championship she always intended to be yours.”
“You can blame Shione for your loss all you want Robina. You can go on Thursday Night Overdrive, Sunday Night Asylum, Twitter, Facebook or whatever and make all the threats you want about what you are going to do to me and that is fine. Robina, they are just empty words. How do I know this? How can I say that? I can because you, Robina Hood, are empty. There is nothing inside you except just that hate and anger that you have allowed to make you hollow and empty.”
::Looking up to the sky above, Amy takes exhales slowly as if she is releasing her negative thoughts.::
“There are so many times in my career that I could have allowed myself to become like that. It could have happened here a few times here in APW with Aubrey J. Parker, Sienna Harrison or Young Mannie. Aubrey and I may not have worked out our issues, and there is probably a one hundred percent chance that she and I will never be best friends forever, but I would like to think that at the very least, we have earned each other’s respect and have come to some kind of an understanding. With Sienna and Mannie, I don’t respect them, I am never going to forget what they put me through and I will never forgive them, but the hate I feel left my system when I finally got them in the ring and let it go when I nailed them with Fenghuang Kick and beat them. I let go of my hate and my anger in those kicks and I am done with them. They are out of my life.”
“But I could not still be Amy Zing if I let that hate, that rage, consume me like I see it has you Robina. It was the fans that gave me the name Amy Zing, when during my first match ever, they began chanting “amazing”, and I just took it as a name sort of like if a wrestler called himself Stu Pendous or something like Ian Sane, something like that. Maybe it is cliché to say, but those fans and their cheering for me night after night remind me who I am. In a weird way, they keep me grounded in who I am and why I do this. They keep me honest and true to myself.”
::She lowers her head, shaking it a bit as if out of pity or something similar.::
“You do not have that Robina. All you have is your hate and your anger. And I know deep down, there is so much more to you than just that. But all you know how to run off is hatred and anger.”
“You hate me Robina, I know you do. I hear it in your voice and I see it in your eyes, and I feel it every single time you and I step into the ring. We do not have matches Robina. Every time you and I face each other into the ring, we just seem to be trying to destroy one another. It is never about who is better or trying to prove anything. It is just you trying to end me and me trying to put you down like some sort of rabid animal in a fight for survival.”
::For some odd reason, Amy chuckles a bit, like she finds it amusing. She runs her hand through her long dark hair, shaking it out a little and looks upwards, shaking her head and smiling.::
“But you know what is sort of the rather messed up part of it Robina? I do not hate you. Believe me, I have tried. I have tried to make myself feel anger or hatred towards you. Even when you were fighting as Sienna’s handpicked wrestler, I could not bring myself to hate you Robina as you hate me. When we competed in the ladder match, the no disqualification match and even our last encounter, or any of the tag team matches, I could not bring myself to hate you Robina.”
::She lowers her head, looking forward. She is not smiling anymore. Amy sighs.::
“I pity you.”
::“The Hong Kong Sensation” tries to force a smile, but cannot and just shakes her head as if disappointed. She sighs and runs her fingers through her hair again.::
“Does that surprise you Robina? Does that make you angry? Does it make you hate me more than you already do to hear that me, the person you probably hate most in the world, feels pity for you? I am pretty sure the answer to my questions is yes. Also pretty sure the fact I am the one that beat you for the title vexes you more than the fact you lost it to begin with.”
“I look at you and I see a wrestler I do respect, and make no mistake Robina, I do respect what you can do in that ring. And while I may not be particularly fond of you, I just feel more pity for you than anything else. You have all the tools, but you just hold on to all the negative things and that is sad.”
::There is almost the slightest hint of a tone of defiance in her voice. It is as if she heard those words Robina Hood said nearly a month ago and is challenging her to make it happen, to give her one more war that would surpass their last one.::
“That emptiness is why you failed as a champion Robina. You were groomed to win this championship. You were never prepared or conditioned to hold on to this championship. I spent so long trying to win this championship, any championship, that I swore to myself that the second I became a champion, I would do everything in my power to prove to everyone who ever doubted me or waited for me to win one that I would prove I deserved it. I have won my first championship, now I have to prove I deserve it. My reign as North American Champion could end at One Night in Hell, or it could end here in Russia because I get injured and cannot defend. I know it will end, but I want everyone to be able to remember for one small moment in the history of the North American Championship and in the history of Action Packed Wrestling that Amy Zing was a champion and she proved that she truly deserved to be one.”
“That emptiness is the very reason why you have NEVER been able to beat me when it really mattered the most Robina. It is why you failed in the ladder match. It is why you failed at the Meltdown Supershow and it is why I am now the North American Champion instead of you.”
“Robina, you can beat me down again and again. You can knock me down time and time again. Every single time you though, I will pick myself up of the ground, dust myself off and try again. No matter how hard you hit me, or what you do, I will keep getting right back up until I have nothing left to give. Why? Because that is what a phoenix does. Every time the great bird falls to the earth in a burst of fire and dies in the flames, it rises anew from the ashes. No matter how badly I lose a match, I only consider it a loss if I fail to give it everything I have, if I give up. I will lose this championship, and while I will be sad about it, I will soldier on and try to win myself another.”
“So come on Robina, you have ONE chance, one shot, to show the world that what happened at the Meltdown Supershow was a fluke. Go ahead Robina, give me another war and try to fulfill that promise you made, all those threats you said to me on Overdrive a few weeks ago after I took your championship. Honestly, I don’t think you will be able to do it because you do not have the heart or desire to fight for your dreams Robina. I do. And I will fight until there is nothing left for me to give. Show me how badly you want to kick my ass. Show me you are not empty and show me how badly you really want this championship back.”
::Amy takes the title off her shoulder and holds the belt in front of her, looking at it. She then raises the championship above her head again.::
“At Thursday Night Overdrive, you and I will go to war one more time with me trying to kick your head off and you trying to end me as we always do, and just like always I will show you and all our fans in Russia why I am not only simply Amy Zing, but why I am also the North American Champion.”
::This time there is no wish of luck and no happy see you there line she usually says to end these things. She lowers the title and drapes it over her shoulder. She turns and walks away as the scene fades out.::
