Niobe let out a sigh and glanced off to the side at the horizon off in the distance, watching the sun dip slowly beneath the horizon, causing the sky to be splashed with oranges, reds, pinks, and whatnot, giving it a very pretty appearance. She was wandering along the shoreline of some beach in this city she was at, thankful for the lack of people that were here at this time of night. I mean who would really want to be at the beach this late? Unless you were some lovey dovey couple wanting to sneak off somewhere romantic to share a moment…or two under the stars where you knew no one would catch you. She chuckled softly, stopping her walking to stand and stare at the horizon some more, watching the sun finally disappear beneath that thin line, bathing the area in darkness as the first rays of the moon started to peek out. The stars followed, providing just enough light for her to be wandering around out here without feeling like she was stumbling around in pitch blackness looking for something. She was a little mad at herself at the moment because of her performance last week in that match.
After promising so much and failing to deliver on what she had promised, she had brushed herself off and walked away from the situation, silently vowing to make her impact in the title scene some other way. Madison would be a good champion, she thought, and would fight with that title as hard as he could. As hard as Tommy had before he lost it. What did she want to do right now? Lay low for a little while and observe the things that were going on, more than she wanted to be active in things. There would always be chances for gold and for glory, just wasn’t her time right now she guessed. Now she was in this grand country of Japan, getting ready for another APW event. She had left her family and friends behind to come here and get ready for this ridiculous match she had coming. They were putting her in the ring...again...with that Robina Hood. Niobe shook her head slightly, taking a drink from the small liter of Coke she had in her hand, continuing to stare listlessly off into the distance. She wasn’t sure what to think about the whole situation to be honest. The last few times that they had ended up in the ring hadn't gone so well. Neither of them cared much for the other, and she was sure that Robina was fuming at the whole situation. Especially after her loss to Amy Zing. She had to be hurting.
She had laughed when she had heard about this match. The suits must enjoy seeing them tear each other apart. A lot. Otherwise they wouldn't of booked this damn thing to begin with. It ain't gonna be her fault when she leaves Robina in the ring even less of a woman than she is now. How could she lose to Amy of all people? Amy was on top of her game right now, and Robina was a tough competitor as well. But to loose to...her...was just unheard of. Niobe shrugged. Just more for her to play with, she guessed. More for her to destroy and whatever. She didn't care. She just wanted this over and done with as soon as possible.
”I hope to god that Robina has enough left in the tank after her loss to Amy Zing, because this is going to be one hell of a fight...again. Damn I love beating that girl up. Freakin' adrenaline rush I tell you. She hasn't got shit on me, I mean look at it this way. I know how she works in the ring and the stupid as shit games she plays, and I'm ready for all of that. I've beat her in the past, several times, and I'm going to beat her again and send her a message after it's all done."
This was going to be quite the interesting match, to say the least. It wasn't for some bit of gold, just an old fashioned fight in the ring. Niobe was considering it a warm up for the big tag match at One Night In Hell coming up very soon. The Black Hand would finally get their chance to get their collective hands around those who had done them wrong...all without Tommy there to support them.
After that whole event had ended last week, Niobe had retired back to Tommy's hotel room with him, talking with him at great length about a number of things. He was in the mindset of needing a break or something more...permanent. He had been really quiet and subdued that night, not his usual boistrous and roudy self she had noticed. She didn't pay it any mind, just let him get it off of his chest so at least he could feel better. He didn't want her to hate him for the decisions he was going to make here in the next few weeks but he did say that the group would flourish even more if he decided to disappear in a manner of speaking. He didn't want her to lose that fighting spark either that she had, always had, and wanted her to keep going...and going...and keep pushing herself to the top. Sure she had lost to Madison but she shouldn't be mad about it, she had fought hard like always and there would 'always be other chances to get a belt, but now is not the time for it.'
Now she felt like she was just rambling in her own head about everything that she could think of that was bothering her at the moment. She was focused on the match, she just wasn’t sure what in the world would come of it or what would happen. Hell, Robina could surprise everyone and run rimshot on Niobe...redeeming herself in the eyes of the suits and the crowd. Niobe was looking for that same sort of redemption after failing to capture gold. And she wanted that chance to do something to change her luck around before it completely got away from her.
”I'm not making any promises this time around. I'm just going to go out there, all by myself, and beat Robina into a bloody pulp. I'll embarass her all over again, just like Amy Zing did. It's time to put the bitch to sleep once and for all. She'll learn not to do something this stupid again.”
As she had said before, Tommy had his own troubles to deal with, otherwise she would have offered a chance to join her here in Japan, here on the beach. She shrugged and took another sip, letting out a loud burp into the night air, a giggle escaping her lips afterwards. Man that was a loud one, she thought. Thank god the only witnesses to that were the various nighttime critters out at this time of the night.
A smile appeared on her face. Time to send a message to the masses.[/color]
”Neither of us are happy about this prospect. You know, having to hop into the ring with one another...again. God what is this, like the 7th...8th time we've been in the ring? I'm thinking the suits just like to see us beat each other up, or maybe you're just looking for another round of punishment after your loss to Amy Zing last week. Man that had to hurt. A strong competitor like her taking out the so called 'perfect megastar' that is you? That really had to hurt. And you know what, it made me laugh...a lot. The once great Robina is starting to loose her shine me thinks. Starting to lose her flair for being the bitch in the ring that you were in the past. But then you could say that about me. I didn't win the title match, so that makes me just as bad. Maybe. But I'm looking to redeem myself on this, and come back stronger than ever.
Why?
Because I know how you function in there, Robina. We've had our battles over and over again in the past, so I know how this is going to end up."
