As our adventurers race towards the commotion, we find, emerging from the smoke and rubble, two shadowy figures ... James: What happened to the facility? Jessie: Where's the ... YOU BLEW IT UP!!! Jessie voices blows James over, onto his butt. His face goes an extra shade of red as he pulls at his collar. Jessie turns around to survey the damage. As the dust begins to settle, there's very little to make out of it all: Some computer monitors, glass test tubes and beakers shattered, and a few white lab coats draped over it all. Jessie: I can't believe you did this. Arbok could have done a better job than you! I told you to press the red button! James: Every button was read! It wasn't my fault! Inside the rubble, there's something stirring, beneath a pile of bricks and dirt. James jumps up and into the arms of Jessie. Jessie, just as scared, turns trembling. Jessie: Wha ... what is that!? [Day One]

Ms. Sally's avatar is HOT! Why am I just now noticing? As for the game, I think it's cool Team Rocket are roles. Arbok could have been too but doesn't appear to be. Logic says though not ALL the original people and pokemon will be involved since 150+ didn't sign up.
Not trying to put any attention my way because I will say it now, I am for sure Town but I always wanted to play as a member of Team Rocket in the games. Why we always gotta be the good guys? Prejudice I tell you! So it's cool someone gets to play Jesse and James here at least. LYNCH THEM FUCKERS!!

Maybe the scum have to capture the town members, aka Pokemon, in order to win the game. So I'm thinking Pokemon vs. Human characters. Best guess I have at the moment.

As a former Pokemon geek, I'm pretty sure the most recent write-up with Jessie and James suggests Mewtwo, who was too powerful to be controlled by any human trainer. Like Evan, I wouldn't be shocked if there was a Meowth character as well.

I think Smith might be onto something with the Mewtwo theory, but I doubt it'd be a Pokemon vs humans sort of thing. Meowth is a likely scum player, and even without Brock, Misty, and Ash, there's still the possibility of Prof. Oak to be seen. It's not as likely, but I can't honestly see a Team Rocket scum team without Meowth... unless Cassidy and Butch show up... Oh, great. My knowledge of early Pokemon conflicts me.

It would make sense for Team Rocket to try and capture pokemon. The only thing we can do at this moment is sit and wait for the day to end. If MewTwo is in the game then I would also assume it's a third party and a SK.

The capturing of Pokemon theory holds some weight but the thing is Team Rocket is red, not purple. If Team Rocket could capture and thus recruit, I don't understand why Sally wouldn't make them a third party cult in terms of the games mechanics.
If there are recruitments, prepare the Advil.

I had the same thought about the mew-two theory. But wasn't that a character released for the Movie and not one of the original 151? Or am I thinking wrong? I will check the Pokemon wiki when I'm not on my phone. Just food for thought.

EBWOP - Okay, I checked and was mistaken. Mewtwo was an original 151 character, so it could very well be likely that he's a third party.
With 18 players, that wouldn't be too far out of place. 3 scum 1 third party?
Here's another question. Again, just stiring up ideas, but in the red and blue gameboy games, Ash always had a rival: Professor Oak's Grandson. Any chance he shows up in this game for whatever reason?

We return to our adventurers, running as fast as they can towards the source of the commotion. The smoke hangs in the air, Pikachu leads the charge, bounding out as fast as he can. Misty: Ash! Brock! Slow down; I can’t keep up! Misty slows down to a walk, then completely stops. Brock comes back alongside her, Ash stops some way down the path to look back. Ash: Come on guys! We can’t stop now! Brock: Misty’s tired, Ash. She can’t keep up. Misty: Go ahead, guys. I’ll catch up. Ash: Ok then, just wait ... Misty: WHAT!? ARE YOU CRAZY!!! YOU WILL NOT LEAVE ME HERE! Ash and Brock, scared straight, compose themselves. Pikachu slowly steps backwards, further away from Misty. Ash: Uhhh ... I guess we can’t leave you behind. Brock: Yeah! Whatever did that might be on the move. Ash points in the direction of the explosion. Ash: Isn’t there something we can do? Brock? Brock thinks, turning his back to go deep in thought. Then, after a moment, he turns back, his fighter pointing to the sky. Brock: I’ve got it! Brock swings his backpack around, rummages in and around, then pulls out a Pokeball with a grin. Brock: Onyx ... go! Brock throws the Pokeball and his Onyx comes out! He lets out a ferocious roar as he rears up. Brock wastes no time, running up and climbing onto his faithful Pokemon. Brock: Quick everyone! Climb on. [Night One]

Jessie: Wha ... what is that!? The rubble starts to move, and them it flies off in all directions. Then, standing against the backdrop of fire and rubble... Mewtwo stands, unharmed, ready for a fight. Slowly he lifts his head to stare at the two members of Team Rocket who stare on in fear. Mewtwo: Did you think you could harness my power? Jessie: Do something James! Mewtwo makes starts to float off the ground, raising his hand as he makes an energy ball. Jessie looks at James. James looks at Jessie. It looks like Team Rocket is about to blast off again ... ... suddenly, a Pokeball is launched at Mewtwo. It hits him, and before he can launch his attack, he starts to dissipate into energy himself. Mewtwo makes one final look at Team Rocket before being captured by the ball. It falls to the ground. There’s a purple top to it, and the letter ‘M’ above the seal. Captured/Dead: Mewtwo (Jennings) - Serial Killer (Even Nights Only) James - managing to overcome his fears - carefully walks up to the ball. He stares at it in wonder. Jessie creeps up behind him, carefully looking over James' shoulder. Jessie: What was that!? James: It was something the boss gave me, from the research lab. In case of emergencies ... Walking over to the Pokeball, James reaches over to pick it up. His hand trembles slightly as he raises it to show Jessie. James: Do you think he’ll be angry? Meowth: Well, you only destroyed his lab, used his Master Ball, and ruined his research ... Walking up behind Jessie, then planting his paws on his hips, he glares at his two counterparts. Meowth: I’m sure he won’t be angry at all! Before the reunion can go much further, there’s a giant roar behind them. The ground starts to shake, Jessie and James start to get scared all over again. The trees part, and in bursts Onyx, carrying our three adventurers into the ruins. Ash: It’s Team Rocket![DAY #002] [ALIVE] #001. AC Smith

Looks like the sentiment I read before was right. Captured = Dead. Also Mewtwo was in the game, and the Serial killer is gone and that is actually a bonus for the town.
Also, Jason Kash is indeed Town aligned.

Interesting. SK going down n1 isn't that great for us, cause it means that we gotta get all of TR, but still, better than a town going down. Jennings is usually a n1 target for watchers, so hopefully we saw who did it.
