(Not so) Exclusive: 'The Last Magician' Sally Talfourd breaks her silence!
Yesterday, in an unannounced and exclusive interview, 'The Last Magician' Sally Talfourd has sent her (and presumably all fans of good wrestling!) into a frenzy.
Appearing on South Korean entertainment show 'Section TV', Talfourd began the interview talking about her 'under wraps' TV shoot. But it wasn't long before the host conducting the interview (and known wrestling fan) Han Ye-Sil started to push Sally about the future of her wrestling career.
Thanks to our own loyal fans, we were able to get a translation hot off the press. Below is what FTWrestling.com loyalist 'Marky1980' was able to tell us about the interview:
Han Ye-Sil: Your entertainment career seems to be going well. Do you think it's benefiting from your success as a wrestler?
Sally Talfourd: Undoubtedly. Without my success in companies like APW, I wouldn't be so fortunate to receive the opportunities I currently have.
Han Ye-Sil: You said APW. You know they are having a 'final show' don't you?
Sally Talfourd: Yes I know that ...
Han Ye-Sil: Were you invited to appear?
Sally Talfourd: I'd rather not say.
Han Ye-Sil: Is that a yes?
Sally Talfourd: *laughter*
Han Ye-Sil: Is that a no?
Sally Talfourd: I won't say.
(There is some more discussion about her TV project, whether she has still kept up a rigorous training regime (she has!), and where her career stands at the moment, in terms of length and other potential acting projects.)
Han Ye-Sil: Have you moved on from wrestling then?
Sally Talfourd: I ... I don't know if I'd say that. Perhaps it is better to say that I'm just not wrestling at the moment.
Han Ye-Sil: So you might return? You might come back to wrestling?
Sally Talfourd: Well ... I mean ... it would have to be for a real reason. It would need to be for something special.
FTWrestling.com has previous reported on inside rumours from APW that there was a serious push to put together a 'decider' match between Sally Talfourd and her old foe Level-One (who himself has been missing from the wrestling scene of late). Yet, despite the management's want (not to mention the demand from the fans) to put together this headline match, it seemed as though events were conspiring against it happening.
However, with the recent announcement of both Talfourd's and One's induction into APW's Hall of Fame, and Sally's slight opening of the door in her Section TV interview, could APW fans be in for a huge announcement in the coming days?
