*I stood outside the Rodgers Center in Toronto, unable to fathom the fact that this would be the place hosting the final show in Action Packed Wrestling history. My mind began to wonder back to the high points in my APW career. Christmas Chaos 2012, being the only two time APW Xtreme Champion in history, almost taking the company right out from under Hurricane Jeff, I thought of it all. I thought about the Cult of Personality, the League of Extraordinary Wrestlers, friends gained and friends lost, the stories that unfolded, and the storylines that made for amazing television. If Nathaniel Havok wasn't a star before coming to APW, he sure was now!
I owe a lot to APW. Truth be told, I owe a lot to President Jeff. My time in APW, while great, was littered with a ton of lows, to even out all of those highs. Jeff put up with a lot of my antics, knowing the talent I possessed, and what I brought to APW. He put up with me, trusted me, and allowed Nathaniel Havok to be Nathaniel Havok. For all of that, for everything Jeff had done, I knew that I had to be a part of the last APW card ever. A match at RassleMania X, ten years in the making. For a promotion to survive ten years, starting with virtually no money, and just the blood, sweat, and tears of its staff, is something unheard of. Very few companies are able to do something like that. But Jeff knew what he was doing, and look where we are now!
The winter hadn't let up in the slightest. For a day in the month of March, the month that spring flowers begin to come alive, and the winter begins to let up, it was just as cold as it was during the holidays. The cold wasn't going to stop me, however. The APW fanbase was looking forward to hearing from all the APW Megastars before the big event, and I wasn't going to let them down. After all, this IS the last time I'll get to address these fans AS "The APW Audience"...*
Havok: It's still hard to believe. Almost four years ago, I began talking money with Hurricane Jeff. He wanted to bring me to APW, to show the world that Nathaniel Havok was one of the best. He knew what I could do for APW, and he also knew what APW could do for me. Now, I stand before you a former APW World Heavyweight Champion, as well as the only two time Xtreme Champion in APW history. Regardless of any issues I might have had or caused in APW, when you think of APW, you will think of Nathaniel Havok. I might not be the first name that crosses your mind, but I'm sure as hell not the last!
Now, we find ourselves at the end of Action Packed Wrestling. The Revelations, the Omega, the final showing of a company that showcased some of the absolute best talent and skill that professional wrestling has ever seen! I'm genuinely sad to see it come to an end, but we had one hell of a run as a company. Some of the best moments and feuds in pro wrestling history, happened right here in APW! Lester and Sally, Jeff and Biggs, Cashe and Bailey... They were all made possible, because of this magnificent company.
On March 30th, I have the privilege of opening the last night of RassleMania X. For the last time, I step between the ropes in an Action Packed Wrestling ring, and go to war against not one, but two combatants. The show is so stacked with talent, past and present, that the company had to reserve THREE nights of pay per view and building contracts. That's how much APW has meant to everyone who has ever been involved with the company. There's a reason that Jeff and this company have both been inducted into the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame, and this card proves it.
As far as my match goes, I could sit here all day and run my mouth. I could tell you that I've got this match already in the bag, and that nothing Shadow or Mark Mania do is going to matter. However, we all know that's a lie. While I might be a great in-ring competitor, APW doesn't bring in talent that isn't going to deliver. As shown in the past, these two men CAN and WILL deliver, right alongside Nathaniel Havok.
*I thought about the name "Nathaniel Havok" for a minute, and what it meant. Havok was a character, a gimmick of sorts. I wasn't standing here as Nathaniel Havok, I was standing here, out of character, as Nathaniel Jacobs.*
Havok: If you haven't figured it out yet, this isn't just another Nathaniel Havok promo. Today, I stand before you humbled, saddened, and 100% Nathaniel Jacobs. Today, and at RassleMania X, I'm just a professional wrestler, putting on a show. And what a hell of a show it will be, as we all pay our respects to this great company! It has opened doors for all of us, allowing us to explore different avenues of entertainment along the way! Take Young Mannie for instance. Without this company, there'd be no magazine covers for him! No sponsors, no exposure, and no wide-spread media exposure.
...Mannie, I'll be seeing you in 4CW, soon!
It's not just Mannie, it's all of us. Shadow and Mark Mania included, as well! We all owe this company, for so many things. Things we have, things we’re able to do, and things that we haven’t even done yet! Therefore, I say this…
*I had to come up with something, to show the world that I was confident enough to win this match. I couldn't stand here sad and lethargic, only concerning myself with the death of APW. This wasn't a funeral, it was a celebration.*
Havok: Mania, Shadow, I want to tell you a story. There was once a well-known wrestler, in a very large promotion, who had so much going for him. However, that company closed. When that company closed, he saw the light at the end of the tunnel, as he had so many avenues he could go down. He took the momentum he had gathered in that promotion, and used it to dominate the next place he went. He owed his entire career to that once major promotion, and never forgot where he came from. HOWEVER, it was the last night, the last show for that promotion, his last victory in that company, that allowed him to carry his momentum onward, and continue his success elsewhere.
That man is Nathaniel Havok. That promotion is APW. That night is RassleMania X. And most of all, that victory belongs to me!
Thanks to APW, Cashe, Mannie, myself, and others like us, have the chance to assist another company in vaulting to the top of professional wrestling. We've become a part of 4CW, a company that is quickly on the rise thanks to us, and people like us. Therefore, this match is a must-win for Nathaniel Havok. Not only because this is the last show in APW history, but because the momentum I earn, will carry me onward in 4CW.
It means as much to me BECAUSE this is the last show, as it does because of the momentum, though. Don't get things twisted. APW means the world to the Enforcer of Sorrow. I have lived for this company, for the better part of the last four years! The two of you wouldn't understand what that's like. In all honesty, Mark Mania wouldn't have a clue! His loyalties to APW haven't been much to brag about, as he's been here and gone more than a fat bitch at a buffet table. Only when he realizes that he's not full, does he come back to APW.
Sorry, Mark. You know as well as I do that it's true, and I'll be damned if I'm going to allow you to win this match. Your main focus is the push of Mania Enterprises, not the fact that this is the last show of a company that made you who you are today! Congratulations Mark. Congratulations on overseeing a profitable enterprise in the sport of professional wrestling. Problem is, you come back to this company, when it suits you! Isn’t that right, Crazy Joe? You only come back when the company needs to stay afloat, because your humanity doesn’t allow you to move on from your past. So, you can take you, your emotionally unappealing ways, and your horrid business tactics, and waste someone else’s time. Because I’ll be damned if Nathaniel Havok is going to sit back, and allow you to treat this even like one last payoff for Mania Enterprises!
I almost feel bad for you, for your past. ALMOST, being the key word. In all actuality, I do feel bad. Right up until the point where I realize that the tragedies in your life, happened years ago. However, you still allow them to cripple you, proving your weakness, and showing that you're humility doesn't allow you to fully engage yourself in a battle that this could very-well turn out to be. The bottom line, Mark, is that you just don't have the heart! You don't have the heart to win this match! Because not only is your heart not in it, but your heart is overtaken by your humanity. But if you ask me, you're not exactly in possession of a superb amount of humanity, anyhow.
Do us all a favor, Mark. Do us all a favor, and do yourself a huge favor at the same time. Don't even bother showing up! You already know it as well as I do. In all actuality, this match boils down to Shadow and Nathaniel Havok! It boils down to the two men who actually gave a shit about Action Packed Wrestling! It boils down to the two men in this match that actually gave a fuck about the company, and not just expanding their "enterprises", and there's nothing you could say or do, that would ever convince me otherwise! Mark, if you show up, you will be my first target! You'll be my target until you're out of the match, unable to compete, and it's just Shadow and myself left! Trust me, you don't want that to happen!
...but what about Shadow?
An APW Hall of Fame inductee already, in his own right, and rightfully so. But, Shadow, there's a huge difference between yourself, and the Enforcer of Sorrow. You see, when people think of Shadow and his time in APW, they already know what you've done. You're in the Hall of Fame, and you deserve it. But proving that I want this more than you EVER could, is based on the fact that I, Nathaniel Havok, AM NOT in the APW Hall of Fame. Sure, you deserve all the respect and admiration that you've garnered over your APW career. Like I said, rightfully so. But not being in the Hall of Fame, NOT winning my final match, it will eat at me, until the day that I die! Furthermore, out of everybody in the company, Nathaniel Havok has the worst record at RassleMania. I've never won, so I HAVE to win!
I'm not going to take anything away from you either, Shadow. I will stand here as a man and honestly say that you deserve to be where you are. HOWEVER, you drew the short end of the stick, and got placed into a match with a mad man. But not only did you get placed into a match with a mad man, you got placed into a match with a mad man, that will do anything to anyone, including himself, to win this damn match! My RassleMania losing streak, the final memory I leave APW fans with of myself, and the momentum I carry on from here, ALL depend on a Nathaniel Havok victory, at the tenth anniversary of RassleMania!
Also, I haven't really heard much of anything from you, for a while. Are you going to show up rusty? If so, you REALLY don't stand a chance! If I were you, I'd be getting into the ring, and start training my ass off. But we both know what happens, when you take time off. Prime example, Jason Cashe. Remember last year, when he decided to take some time off? The cupcakes and Twinkies got the better of him, and he turned into a fat, sloppy, piece of shit. Unlike the in shape piece of shit he once was. So, if I were you, I'd be getting into a gym.
Shadow, I need this win. You don't need it, and Mark Mania doesn't deserve it. This final match, could be the deciding factor, in my entire APW career. A career that I have worked diligently to be proud of, brag about, and lay claim to! If I can't win at RassleMania, why would I want to claim it? All the titles, all the five star matches, the accolades and legendary moments in my APW career, none of them will mean a damn thing, if I can't at least get a single win, at a RassleMania. And that's what this is all about. That's what this match is about for me, men! While the two of you might be comfortable with the things that you've done in this company, I for one, am not. I'm not satisfied, and I won't be satisfied, until my hand is risen in victory at RassleMania! And believe me, boys... You might not like how I do it, and you might not like what happens to the two of you, but I'm damn sure going to get the job done, and walk out with the victory!
Try if you want, and try anything you can think of. Nothing you do is going to be able to stop me. And there's nothing you're going to be able to do, to ensure your safety. I'll be coming for the both of you, with something to prove. Nathaniel Havok IS, WAS, and forever WILL be, Action Packed Wrestling. And I'm going to prove it at RassleMania, with a victory to open the show, on the third night. I'll see you boys soon. But, until then, watch me prove that I'm the best APW had to offer, as I take out my fellow APW Alumni, in 4CW, one by damn one! See you at the dance, girls! Havok has spoken!
*I looked into the camera, knowing that this was my very last time addressing the APW audience. I'll always love this place, and it will always be considered my home. And I will savor every last moment I have in APW, and remember it forever.*
