Biography:
The incredible story of "Rags to Riches" or yet "Started From the Bottom, Now Here". All those fit the profile of Jair Hopkins who started out as a complete unknown. No real wrestling experience, all just the experience of hard work and training under mentor "The Dirrty Rican" Juan Ramirez and his staff at the time with his short-lived Wrestling School for the inner-city youth in the city of Manhattan. Learning all he could learn, he made huge leaps thanks to having his mentor in his back pocket. Very first tryout led him to a spot with Action Packed Wrestling. Successfully achieving the necessary goals led Hopkins to another spot, this time on what was a new show for developmental talent under APW. It was called "Meltdown" and from his first match ever, it was seen that he had raw athleticism and spots of Superstar abilities. Through his come-up, he made some friends, one that has definitely been like a Brother to him was that of Anthony Bailey, who at the time was already flourishing on the main roster. With lots of advice and information thrown his way, Hopkins made it known to the world that he was here to stay for the long while.
Out of Brooklyn, the five foot, eight inch stature of Hopkins has been a constant name in the industry for the past couple of years since his introduction. Being a member of the successful trio group "The Dying Breed" alongside Anthony "The Promise" Bailey and "The Smooth One" William D. Williams, winning the APW World Tag titles twice and doing what many had bet against him doing in winning Singles gold with the APW Tapout Title, he remained blessed and humbled.
When the unfortunate news of APW closing down, Hopkins almost called it quits until Bailey had "bailed" him out of making an unwise decision. From that point, the two traveled to an upstart company in PURE Wrestling before it too unfortunately had closed it's doors. Again, decisions had to be made for Hopkins as he had gotten multiple offers. His next destination was that of where he currently competes, 4 Corners Wrestling. That was his new residence and course to attempt to dominate. A few old names that had come from the grounds of APW were there and Hopkins returned to glory albeit without his partner slash Brother, Anthony Bailey. Able to defy odds and stay leveled, Hopkins rose up the ranks and captured the 4CW Championship Title which at the time was called 4CW South West Championship before the product went Nationwide.
With two years passing by so quickly since the departure of Action Packed Wrestling, to hear of what was at the time rumored come to reality, Hopkins, Bailey, Williams reunited at the APW Reunion Show and brought back loads of memories with the APW faithful at hand. That delivered a huge impact with Hopkins decision to come back home where it all started. With APW coming back in full-force, and even though he would be more of a part-time talent now on the roster, he was looking to dust off that APW TapOut Title and bring it back into action.
How did you hear about APW: A little birdie told me about it
What made you decide to join APW: Everyone always come back home at some point.
