I know this is completely basic, but without a doubt my favorite fighter right now is Ronda Rousey. She's just fucking unbelievable. She's a complete A-list star and she stills kicks ass in the ring. It's must watch television, even if it is only 30 seconds.
Close second is also expected, Conor McGregor. I love that Irish fuck. Even though he got his ass kicked for a round and a half and then squeezed out a win.

Agreed on Ronda, as a former judo guy myself I am in awe of the brutal artwork that is the Rousey jujigatame. Beyond her, I've not watched MMA much in recent years so I'm behind on current stars, most of my favourites are from the early, early days of UFC - Gracie, Shamrock, Severn et al. Don't get me wrong, the modern sport of MMA is great, but you don't get the true clash of styles that you used to. In the modern era, fighters essentially learn MMA in order to win MMA fights - they may focus more on boxing or BJJ or whatever, but their training is all geared towards a sport with a particular structure and rules. In the old days, it was like real-life Street Fighter: you get a karate guy vs a wrestler, a kickboxer vs a jiu-jitsu fighter... and just watch what unfolds. The athleticism and discipline these days is AMAZING and I'm not disrespecting guys who pack both a one-punch KO and a range of submissions, but to me the sport will never again reach the heights of its early days in terms of entertainment.

Apparently I have a man-crush on Benson Henderson. He's a very technical fighter, and considering how much I love technical wrestling, it doesn't surprise me that my favorite fighter isn't some big knockout artist, but rather a guy who uses skill and technique to win fights.
Of course, I also love Conor McGregor because he's practically a pro-wrestler in MMA form with the way he trash talks.

Now days: Mighty Mouse, Rory MacDonald, Anthony Pettis (Love his fighting but more than anything I just think he's sexy as fuck! lol. My fighter crush all day long lol)
