OOC: Did this on my phone under difficult time constraints. Sorry to my partner and my opponents for not giving it my all this go around.
{{With beads of sweat dripping down my brow, I glared into the mirror long and hard. "Was I really about to do this?" The ink on the new contract was dry but I could find a legal loophole to relieve me from my obligations...if it came to that. There was always a loophole...or maybe I was running from my calling. This is the moment I've waited for two long years. Butterflies were always evident, but this weekend seemed different for whatever reason.}}
On the other side of the Reunion Show, I feel more invigorated than ever before now that APW has returned full time. Conditioning with Frank and Hopkins have been going well and at the ripe age of 25, I'm in some of the best shape of my life. As I have said before, I feel much older than I really am given the stuff I have experienced with this company. I was never quite able to gain footing anywhere else, though the offers were on the table. Organizations were chomping at the bits to have me on their roster. I was affirmed, I was flattered, but....I felt like I would have been cheating myself by remaining an orphan. But that is no longer the case. Not only does it feel good to be back in active competition, it feels good to be back home. As the famous saying goes "there's no place like home."
Dying Breed is back in full force and ready to take the tag team division by storm once again. With Deception taking place in Oakland, home of the NBA Champions the Golden State Warriors, this show is appropriate and fitting for champions. I humbly take confidence in the fact that Hopkins and I are the longest reigning Tag Team Champions in the history of the company and that's something neither Jackson Reid or Jac Glyndwr should take lightly. Unfortunately, many megastars find their identity in titles and worldly success. That's not the case with me because I know in the grand scheme of things, my life counts for so much more than a piece of polished gold attached to a leather strap.
But the reign does add some some sort of credibility to what we bring to the table against Reid and Glyndwr. You two were just randomly selected to fill a quota but myself and Hopkins? This is our life. This is what we do. We've been in there with some of the best of the them, so this is second nature. I'm grateful that we get to throw a welcoming party of sorts to two APW newcomers, but this is something you aren't prepared for. There's no history, no chemistry. You are the underdogs.
We've always thrived in moments of opposition. People are curious to see if we are able to re-spark the flame of yesteryear. I personally do not care about that, we're focused on turning a new leaf. A new era equals new goals. Hopkins and I aren't trying to do what we did before. It's about elevating.
{{Bailey finally stops staring at himself in the mirror as he appears to snap out of "it."}}
This is a bit shorter than normal but I am a man of action. Talk is cheap if you are unable to back up. I am Anthony Bailey…APW’s only Promise…the only Promise that can't be broken. Until Sunday…
{{The scene slowly fades to black.}}
