'The Chimera' (current), 'The Scarred Sentinel' (former/retired)
Pic Base:
Jake Gyllenhaal
Hometown:
Corpus Christi, Texas
Wrestling Style:
Uneven/Violent Strong Style/Striking - Jackson was once a well regarded technical wrestler with submission expertise, but now is more along the lines of someone a tad unstable. This wrestling style has lead to a very violent Strong Style/Striking style that is painful for his opponents. (Real life comparison: KENTA)
Height:
6'1
Weight:
221 lbs.
Theme Song:
'Taking Back Control' by Sparta
Face/Heel/Tweener:
Tweener - Jackson is as unstable as they come, but is someone who was once well loved by fans around the world. He's the living symbol of what happens when you give everything in the line of duty, only to come back more broken and scarred than before you left.
Entrance:
The opening riff of Sparta's 'Taking Back Control' blasts over the PA system as a mixed reaction immediately erupts from the crowd. Out from behind the curtain steps out Jackson Reid, a very solemn look on his face. He slowly makes his way down the ramp, ignoring both the cheers and jeers from the crowd. He slides underneath the bottom rope, rises to one knee where he pauses for a minute, then gets back to his feet. He makes his way to his corner, without making any motions, and readies for his match.
10 Basic Moves:
1. Knife-Edged Chops
2. Leg Kicks
3. Armdrag Takedown
4. Kidney Punch
5. Swinging Neckbreaker
6. Discus Lariat
7. Grapevine Leglock
8. Exploder Suplex
9. Springboard Diving Forearm Smash
10. 'The Wounded Warrior' - Running Busaiku Knee Kick - SET-UP
Finishing Move(s):
'Fool's Paradise' - Fireman's Carry Drop into Knee Strike/Go 2 Sleep - PRIMARY FINISHER
'The Chimera's Grasp' - Cross Armbreaker - RARE FINISHER
Biography:
Jackson Reid and his brother Jeremiah Reid did everything together. They took the same classes, played on the same football teams (Jeremiah was Quarterback and Jackson was Wide Receiver), along with joined the indy wrestling circuit together. But, as soon as they started to really hit their groove, both answered the call to arms, and joined the military to fight the threat overseas. There, Jackson watched as brother was killed in action. That vision still haunts Jackson every night, especially since he was discharged medically shortly after. The nightmares forced Jackson to alcohol and drug abuse, but he eventually overcame that to join back into the professional wrestling ranks. Soon, he was accepted into the indy promotion, Galveston Island Wrestling, where he won the TV Title. But, he couldn't fight off those demons, and soon was back at the bottle and was as destructive as ever. Now, Jackson is a loose cannon, ready to burn the world at a moment's notice.
How did you hear about APW:
I heard about the re-opening through RoughKut, but I was here for a short period of time years ago.
What made you decide to join APW:
I've been looking for a new place, and the reputation for APW is amazing.
