By now, we all know how this business is full of gallant warriors and smug assholes-- but how brave or cocky can you be when you don't know what's coming? More importantly, this time around… can you put aside your pride, your convictions, your dislike for someone in order to find glory with that person at your side?
There's only one way to find out...
Guess who's back… back again.
Just when you thought that it was safe to go back in the water-- Defeat The Unknown is back with a whole new spin on its formula of facing the unknown, with both singles wrestlers and tag teams accepted! While you will be allowed to know who your partner is, you won't be able to choose who they are. And not only will you not know who you will be facing until the show goes up...but you might not be able to guarantee that your partner will stay by your side or not. It's evil, I know, but that's the beauty of it. And with the unstable Rachel Ellsworth in charge of things, who knows what all will be thrown at the competitors?
Only time will tell.
Sign-ups are open, and this time? I'm gonna let interest decide how big this shindig is gonna be, though the limit of one character per handler still applies. There might be 16 characters, there might be 64 characters-- it's all up to you. So go on, now, and click the image to face the unknown in Defeat the Unknown: Tag Turmoil! |

Signing up!
In the past, external tournaments have been a great way to grow your character and gain more 'exposure' that can be worked into promos, etc., and really develop things to make everything more fun.
Also, if you come up against an APW-er in this (with them or against them) ... BAM! Instant storyline in the making!
Can't recommend it enough! Sign up everyone!

I've always enjoyed outside tournaments...just not sure if I'd have the time. Might depend what the roleplay limits/deadlines will look like.

There's no RP limits as of now, though I am open-minded about putting them in place if enough people express interest in them. As for the schedule, I'm looking at two weeks for the RP period, with a week after that for me to put results together.

Having just returned to something more consistent, I'm going to pass. I just don't think I would have the time to write between work and everything else going on for me at the moment, as well as focusing on APW stuff.

Funny there's a tag tournament when I'm in plans to put Lord Raab and his muscle servant soon to be a wrestler Samuel McPherson in a tag team, but I haven't got the moves or finishers sorted for Samuel or the team itself yet.

I'm either going to start things this Sunday, 8/9, or when I have 16 people-- whichever happens later.

I seem to remember a similar concept introduced several years ago when I ran a fed...from a person named Kris. You seem familiar to me now.

Yeah, I ran this twice before--I usually attempt such a thing once every couple of years or so. It was a singles tournament then, though.
