A video posted earlier today on the APW website anonymously, it features the self proclaimed best ever Islamic wrestler – Nasir ‘The Avenging Arab’ Barad. It is very familiar to the style of video made by terrorist groups, due to the location, poor quality video camera, along with the subtitles displayed during the speech made. As he sits there on a rug in a cave somewhere hidden in the depths of Saudi Arabia, a cow walks into shot but is quickly budged out of sight. Nasir unimpressed gives a cry of rage to whoever has set this up and it is translated with the subtitles as ‘for fuck sake!’ Despite the interruption he begins to address us, the speech he makes is translated along the bottom of the screen.
‘’Hello to all American scum! (Laughs) for too long now the people of the great US of A, have led abysmal and unholy lifestyles. They use their strength in numbers and wealth to try and dominate smaller countries, with a smaller population as well as an inferior amount of money. Who gave you the right to come into our countries, take and do as you like? I come from a great place named Saudi Arabia; we lead a basic but fulfilling lifestyle. We care not for MTV, MacDonald’s or even pre-marital relations! Yet your people choose to mock us by living your lives like pigs! I too could choose to have pre-marital relations along with all the other sins you commit daily, but my god would look upon me as he does you…..SCUM! Islam is more important than food, music or woman and I intend to make sure you over in American as well as the rest of the world realize this. To do this I will soon be arriving in the largest and most viewed wrestling federation in the whole of American – APW. Not to pose or even grow an ego like most of the other wrestlers posses but instead to strike fear into the hearts of the views and fans. With my death defying style as well as my supreme god-given power I will leave a mark upon all of APW and the wrestling world. This is just your warning and already I can smell the fear seeping over from the western world, at just the thought of how I will change their beloved sport! So my time up in the caves of Saudi are at and end as is my training to become the ultimate threat and eventually the demise of wrestling, as I will win the APW title – conquering the roster along the way (laughs). Sparing those who decide to convert, leaving their lives of sin joining me in my revolution (laughs).
The scene stays fro a few seconds on him laughing, he finishes and now waits for the camera to stop recording. After a couple of moments of silence Nasir again shouts at the make-shift ‘camera man’ who immediately rushes round the side of the camera, hitting the stop button.
