Its Sunday Night, the Night of the final APW Event of the Year, Christmas Chaos. Inside the arena, backstage, you see a man standing with his bare back to the camera with a few hard to notice scars. The man slowly turns around and it’s the Hardcore Kid. Boo’s are heard as the titantron inside the Nassau Coliseum has turned on for this Pre Match Promo before the event has officially started. The Hardcore Kid stands there listing to boo’s from the Long Island APW Faithful. The APW Faithful quiets down and the Hardcore Kid begins to talk
THK: Tonight, dreams will come true. Ego’s will be crushed and history will be made at Christmas Chaos. I’m not talking about tonight’s main event. Even though I’m sure it will be a great match. I’m talking about the other match that’s on everyone’s minds. The Xtreme Title match, where my dream of being the Xtreme Champion will come true and history will be made. And the ego of Jason Royce will deflate and crushed.
Word has gotten to me and some of my opponents has had some nice words to say about me. And I don’t like to have my name run through the mud and not be able to defend myself. So here it goes. First up to bat, Carl Cage. You think Jason Royce has your back, then you’re a fool to think so. I been by Jason’s side a lot longer than you, and I know that the split second he has to screw you over to win a title, he’ll do it. But from what I heard of your little web cam promo, I don’t see the fire lit underneath your ass to come into this match and take the Xtreme Title. You may not think I’m hardcore enough for ya, but you’ll see tonight Carl. And another thing, the only thing that’s hardcore in your life, is the movies that your girlfriend has been in.
Carl, you look all big, mean and tough, but the truth of the matter is that you’re just taking up space in this match. You may have beaten Fyre Angel before, but you sure as hell never beaten me. Last Monday on Overdrive. You never made me submit. You never pinned my shoulders to the mat. The way I remembered it, was that I laid everyone out with a chair and I was the last one standing. I hope you remember that, because the same thing will happen tonight when you, Fyre and Jason are all laid out and I am standing over you all, holding the APW Xtreme Title. I’ve waited a long time for this opportunity, and I won’t let it slip away.
Just then some random little boy walks up to the Hardcore Kid
Boy: Excuse me, Hardcore Kid?
The Kid looks down at the boy
THK: Can’t you see that I’m busy with an interview Kid. Beat it!
Boy: But I just wanted an Autograph.
THK: An Autograph. Do you not realize that I am the Hardcore Kid and I DON’T give autographs!
Boy: Then do you know where Fyre Angel is.
THK: No I don’t. I haven’t seen her for a while. I’d be surprised if she even makes it here tonight after I smashed her face in with a chair last Monday.
The Kid starts to walk away.
THK: Hey Kid, do me a favor, if you happen to see Fyre Angel, tell her that I’m going to beat the crap out of her tonight. She’ll be lucky if she walks out of this match under her own will. And tell her that I said she had no business being in this match or in a wrestling ring and that she should be making me a sandwich right now.
The boy nods and walks away and the Hardcore Kid yells out
THK: And tell her that NASCAR isn’t a sport and that it sucks just as much as she does!
The Kid then turns his attention back to the camera
THK: Now where was I? Right, Jason Royce. A guy who speaks in Metallica Lyrics. “Trapped Under Ice” from the Ride the Lightning Album. The same guy who can’t even say Fyre Angel’s name right. Good Job buddy. You refer to me as a Worm. That’s ok I guess. But when you try to fool the people and make everyone believe that you we’re the one who broke up Hardcore Ice, we’ll, that got me thinking and maybe I hit you a little too Hard last Monday and screwed up your memory. Or maybe not hard enough. But either way. You can think all you want Jason. What ever makes you feel better, because I know it eats you up inside knowing that I out smarted you Jason. I know it eats you up inside when people say that I’m better than you. I know it bothers you Jason and I know it makes you a ticking time bomb. And I know it makes you crazy and I love it. I want you to be like that Jason. I want you to bring everything you got Jason. I want you to step your game up a million times more than you ever had. Tonight Jason is the night where you truly prove to the APW Faithful, to the guys in the locker room that your not just some guy who loses all his matches. I want you to bring more than just you “A” game, because when I win, and I will win, its going to make the victory just that much sweeter. Knowing that you gave it your all Jason and still lost, will make the victory mean that much more.
Tonight, we once and for all see who the number one man in Hardcore Ice really was. We find out just how well Pure Innovation will work as a team. The odds are in your guy’s court. But it’s every man for themselves. Are far are you both able to go to hurt one another for a title that I will win. How far will you go to risk each other’s career for a belt that you won’t walk out with? Are you guys really a team, or out for yourself. What means more to you guys, a tag team and friend ship, for the Xtreme Title? When its all said and done boys and girls. The Hardcore Kid will finally rise to the top as a singles wrestler and bring credibility back to the Xtreme Title. Its been far too long since someone has made the title mean something, and its time for a change. I will bring credibility, meaning and Xtremeness back to the Xtreme Title. Carl, Fyre and Jason Royce, Tonight, get ready for the most special night of our lives, because after I send you all Stright To Hell, I’m going home as the New APW Xtreme Champion.
