Overdrive, March 18
Moments after The Hardcore Kid watched on the titantron that Jason Royce set the Kid’s house on fire, The Kid is speed walking backstage with his gear bag in his hand and APW Backstage interviewer, Shane West catches up with him and is walking next to him walk trying to interview the Kid.
Shane: Hardcore Kid, we just saw what Jason Royce did to your home, what’s going through your mind?
The Hardcore Kid stops in front of the exit doors and looks at Shane who puts the microphone up to the Kid’s mouth
THK: What’s going through my mind? I just watched my house get set on fire, and you have the audacity to stop and ask me what’s going through my mind. What the hell do you think is going through my mind Shane? How about you tell me what’s going thought your mind as I’m about to kick your ass for asking such a stupid question. Shane, I’m going home right now, and Jason Royce better be long gone, because if he’s not, what I’ll do to him will put a damper on Rasslemania because there won’t be a match between The Hardcore Kid and Royce.
The Kid grabs the microphone, slams it on Shane’s chest and walks through the exit doors
Thursday, March 19: Fox News Studio
You see Fox News reporter Rudi Bakhtiar sitting at a desk and in the corner of the TV screen, you see a picture of a house that was set on fire
Rudi Bakhtiar: A fire took place at a Vegas home late last night.
The screen then shows video footage of the house and fire fighters putting out the fire as the reporter continues to talk as the video is being shown
Rudi Bakhtiar: The suspect of the fire is profession wrestler, Jason Royce who knocked the window out and set the curtains on fire. The wrestler, who is in a feud with another wrestler, The Hardcore Kid, wasn’t home at the time of he fire.
The camera goes back to the reporter
Rudi Bakhtiar: Lucky enough that neighbors saw the actions of a Mr. Royce and was quick to call 9-1-1. Police and fire fighters arrived in time to put out the blaze before any major damage was done. No one was hurt
The camera goes to an interview with a cop
Police: There was no one at home at the time. We did get in contact with the home owner and once he gets home, we will then discuss any charges that he may charge.
Camera goes back to the reporter
Rudi Bakhtiar: These two guys fight at Rasslemania 5 on March 29th in Detroit. We will keep you all posted if charges are laid.

The scene opens up inside the Hardcore Kid’s house. The Kid sits in a chair in the middle of his living room, staring at a broken window, burnt curtains and a black wall caused by the fire that Jason Royce started on Overdrive last Wednesday.
Jason Royce, you crossed the line. Its one thing to attack someone from behind. Its another to beat someone with a weapon, but, to go to my home, break my window, and set my curtains on fire, in an attempt to burn my house to the ground, then you cross the line! I can easily press charges on you Jason. But I’m not. Why? Because if I did that, you would be in jail on the night of March 29th. And I can’t let that happen. Jason, I’ve been wanting to get my hands on you, one on one since I turned on you. And since that time leading into now, I’ve proven that I was the better man in Hardcore Ice. It began when I won the Xtreme Title at Christmas Chaos, a title you we’re holding at the time. And then, New Years Retribution, Survive and Conquer, I eliminated you and lasted up until the final four. Not bad for the guy who was supposedly the weak member of Hardcore Ice. Then there was last month at Carnage, War Games, The Hardcore Kid and Jason Royce, on opposite teams, and look who’s team came out on top. And lets not forget that two weeks ago, I beat Dr. Matt in the middle of that ring fair and square. I may have not defended my Xtreme title since I won it, but I’ve proved that I deserve it. And Jason, you haven’t proven that you deserve the shot. But your only getting it because I want to end you career on the biggest stage of them all. At the only event that matter on March 29. Rasslemania V.
Hardcore in Hell Jason. No Rules. Anything goes. Blood will be spilled, bones will be broken. One thing for sure is that one of us isn’t walking out. And another thing for sure if that it will be me walking out. There’s more on the line in this match than just the Xtreme title. Our pride is on the line. Our legacy is on the line. Our Career’s is on the line. This is more than just The Hardcore Kid Verses Jason Royce for the Xtreme Title at Rasslemania. We have history together and history will be made at Rasslemania. I plan on having my Rasslemania Moment take place on March 29th. I plan on beating you to a pulp. I plan on beating you from an inch of your life. I plan on making sure that when people hear the name Jason Royce, that they won’t think about the time you sucked. They won’t think about the time you we’re a 2 time APW Tag champ with me. They won’t think about the night you tried to burn my house to the ground. After Rasslemania, when the world hears Jason Royce, they will think of the night of Rasslemania V. The Night I ended your career. The night I left you lying a pool of your blood. The Night where The Hardcore Kid defeated Jason Royce at Rasslemania V to retain the Xtreme Title.
You see Jason, Rasslemania, it’s the biggest event of the year. Its going to be the place to be. And for us to be in one of the biggest matches on the card, I’ll be damned if I’m going to let get the win over me. Last year Jason, I beat you, you beat me and we wrestled to a double count out. You beat me at last year’s Rasslemania, and its bothered me since. The fact that I lost to YOU eats me up inside, because I know now, and a year ago, I was and am still better than you. And you know it too Jason, your just to stupid to admit it. But the fact of the matter is that after I beat you Jason, this thing between us, will finally be put to rest. This hated between us, can be put on the back burner for now. I don’t know about you, but personally, I’m tired if seeing your face in the ring. I’m tired of having to deal with you. I’ve been in the ring with you in every Pay Per View since Carnage. There has only been one Pay Per View that we haven’t been in the ring together was the very first one, New Years Retribution. After Rasslemania Jason, we can go our separate ways. After Rasslemania, no more do I have to think, “What will Jason do next” “What stupid thing will Jason do.” Jason, you’ve always want to fight in some sort of gimmick match. And so did I, but now Jason, you got stuck in the match that you can’t get out of. No where to run, no where to hide. Hardcore In Hell against a man who hates you more than anyone can imagine.
At Rasslemania Jason, I will seal fate and destiny. I will make you wish that you didn’t want a piece of me. Jason, I will make you bleed, scream and cry. The things I plan on doing to you, it won’t compare to the carnage that was dished out in pervious Hardcore in Hell matches. What I plan on doing to you will make other Hardcore in Hell matches look like a walk in the park. Jason, you tried to burn my house down with everything that I worked hard for in it. You tried to ruin my life, but you failed, just like you’ll fail to beat me at Rasslemania. Just like you’ll fail as a singles wrestler. Jason, you tried to burn my house down, At Rasslemania, I will burn you and piss on the ashes, right after I send you STRAIGHT TO HELL!
