Last time on the Pence Weatherlight Special...
The Special began off with Pence Weatherlight talking to his personal trainer, Nick Maelstrom, on a one on one basis. Pence deciding to take a break for only a short period away from the Enlightenment series decided to take on a Public Relations opportunity. Nick who at first was skeptical was managed to be talked to by Pence who said that this was for the best and that the specific fans he had chosen were orphans who wanted to see the show. Nick agreed with a sigh and managed to hunt down the kids of a specific orphanage and bring them to the show. At the show Pence would give away free things like: T-shirts, videos, and signed photos from the staff and fighters of APW. Pence would give them a small tour and then with a smile he would begin his speech against the two men he had to fight that night. Calling Green a joke and Jason Royce angry pants. Later that night he would take on the two men in a triple threat match with Level One as special guest referee. Pence would defeat both of his opponents, but Level One would lay him out with a low blow. The following week Pence was booked in a tag match with Jason Royce as his partner against Level One and John Green. Pence and Jason Royce would have a good showing up until things deteriated and the bell had to be rung. All four men would stare each other down, Pence to Level One and Jason Royce to John Green. Later after the show, Pence would sit down with a man named Eric for the third edition of ten questions. There Pence would answer a series of grueling questions for the fans out there and reveal a more in depth look at his psyche. Now the story continues....

*Month Five*
The Make a Wish Foundation banquet is held biyearly and is important to the foundation as a whole because they have guest speakers from every walk of life, wrestlers, ball players, actors, singers, teachers, scientists, and many other groups of people would be present. One man in particular stood out from the rest in quite the color choice of a suit, Pence Weatherlight wearing a blue suit with a striped black tie, looked around the banquet hall in a dreamy state. He watched the slide show which was being portrayed on the other side of the room, kids with various diseases appeared on the screen, and he couldn't help but feel pity towards these folk. He found his table to be filled with celebrities: Dwight Howard of the Orlando Magic, Christian Bale, Steven Spielberg, and at least two people, which he knew were scientists. His table was the table filled with the guest speakers, each one of them would be giving a speech to the masses of people in attendance and above all else they hoped to reach somebody out there to give their pocket change to these poor children. The first man to speak was Dwight Howard who would give a few impressions of famous people like Shaq, his coach Stan Vangundy, and Eddie Murphy in the movie Norbit. Later on during his speech he began to ask for money and told them that he wasn't there because he had to be, but because he wanted to be. He got a few responses and gathered at least a few thousand. He sat down and Pence gave him a high five. So it continued on, Christian Bale, Steven Spielberg, and the scientists showing their compassion towards the cause of these people and then it was Pence's turn. Standing up he would get almost the same recognition as many of the other guest speakers and when he stood up on the podium he found himself speechless. People looked at him oddly as he cleared his throat and then straightened his tie, he slowly began off, the speech that he had planned on saying out of his mind, now the only thing left was his feelings and that is what this night was about to him. So now looking out over the crowd he began to speak from deep within his soul.
Pence: Ladies and gentlemen, you may not know who I am, but I know who some of you are. With that knowing of who you are, I know that deep down you all see this cause as something to invest in. So why hold on to that spare money when we all know Billy Michaels needs the money to have chemo or money to do research to save himself and others. I am not asking for much, no, I didn't come out here to tell you to donate. Of course not, what I have come out here to tell you is that this is cause you should invest in because ladies and gentlemen we have a future and these kids are desperately in need of a future. Without us though they will never have the chance to get married, never have the chance to go through life like one of us, to have the chance to live a life like us. I ask you please to do something, to stand up, and take a stand for mankind, to show others that mankind is not a joke. To show everyone that deep down all men and women of this planet have the ability to great and good things for the rest of humankind to take steps, no, leaps forward into a brighter future for all. I ask you to do this for the children. So please as I go to sit down among my peers I plead with you one last time to search your heart, your mind, and your soul and know exactly what you must do. Thank you for your time.
The applause was deafening and later that night Pence was told that it was the greatest turnout yet and the amount of money they had gained would for sure hold them for another two years. They asked him if he would attend again two years from now and he would nod his head. Anything for the kids.

*Later that Week*
Nick: So, I heard you took that offer they threw at you.
Pence: Ah you did? May I inquire as to what deal you mean?
Nick: Don't give me that shit Pence, I mean the deal you made with APW. I heard you signed a contract right before the banquet a couple of days ago. So is it true?
Pence: Do you mind Nick? I am trying to get ready for the christening of an orphanage.
Nick: What is up with you lately? Its all about the kids and entertainment with you. What happened to the Pence who just did this for gold and honor.
Pence: Listen Nick, I can't be that guy. He was not a good man, he was an asshole, and people hated him. When he left nobody missed him, but now that I am coming back into style I am trying my best to redeem myself for past deeds that I have committed. I just want everyone to see the way I think, to see who I am and know that I am not like the rest of those egotistical bastards who don't care about anybody but themselves. I want to be a guy who inspires others not make others fear him.
Pence's small apartment was cluttered with clothes, posters, fliers, and photo albums. Pence sat down on his bed, still slightly wet from the shower that he had taken only a few hours ago. He looked over to Nick who was pacing in the middle of the living room and slowly put on a pair of socks.
Nick: So did you sign or not?
Pence looked up at him with a look that said just drop it. Nick threw up his hands and sat down in a chair, pulling out a cigarette and lighting it, he would take a long drag and then blow smoke all in front of him. Pence would choke a bit and then Nick would speak again, making sure not to get the ashes of the cigarette on Pence's carpet.
Nick: Come on man, just tell me?
Pence sighed, no use hideing it now.
Pence: Yeah, I'm now an official member of APW in two months time. If you want to know why I signed with APW I will tell you. Its because of the people Nick. When I went to that banquet I knew for a fact that their was nothing I would rather do more than bring a smile to a kid's face, to bring that kid no matter how dark his tunnel that he called life was a little bit of sunshine. I don't care about the competition, I don't care if I have to fight my way to the top, but I will and when I do win a championship it will not be for me. It will be for everyone.
Nick looked at Pence with intensity as he stood up and walked over to his closet grabbing another dress shirt and a tie. He would find a pair of dress pants and silk boxers in his drawer. He would put them on and then an undershirt which had been laying on the bed. Turning around he would look at Nick as he put on his dress shirt over it, he would tighten his tie, and put on his pair of black dress shoes before walking in front of the mirror to examine himself. He looked good and with a smile he would turn around and walk pass Nick, he would pat him on the shoulder and say something.
Pence: Besides, if I don't come back soon...John Green or Level One will run the business into the ground.
Both men broke out laughing as Pence exited through the front door to make his way to the orphanage.

*The Final Day of February*
The ocean looked calm and the cold weather did not disenfranchise Pence from going out and trying to fish. He watched as the fishermen passed by on their boats, he would give them a wave they would wave back, and then he would toast them with the can of cocoa-cola in his hand. So far it had been a pretty boring afternoon and Pence had not caught a single fish, of course it wasn't helping with all these boats going by and scaring off all the fish, but hell if Pence was not going to try to catch something, even if it was a cold. Pence pulled in his line, still no bites. An old friend of his, James Snyder sat down on the tackle box next to him and began to speak.
James: So how does it feel to be back in the world of professional wrestling?
Pence: It feels pretty good, its been a while since I have felt this useful to the planet. I mean it was only a couple of weeks ago that I signed and already people are chattering about a returning superstar.
James: Yeah, Jeff and me have been leaking a bit of information to perk the interests of all the fans world wide. They are taking the bait and running with many different ideas. For Christ's sake even Shadowman is a believed returner.
Pence: Wow, you guys are riding a lot on my success aren't you?
James: Well yeah. Jeff saw how you were mistreated in EWC and wanted to show you just how a real show offers the brightest and most talented superstars contracts. I'm still a little confused with this...50% of your paycheck deal going to charities.
Pence: If there is one thing that I have learned since I have been gone, it was that it is necessary to help those in need. Because some day those same people can help you out in a different way. I know it sounds corny, but that's how I've been thinking for the past couple of months.
James: Well that's good man. I'm so tired of seeing these stuck up fuckers like Jason Royce and John Green ruining the world. Its people like you who give this sport a good name.
Pence: Come on man, you are giving me too much credit. I'm just a normal man trying to make the world a better place. I am no super hero.
James: Yeah that's true, but you are the closest thing the world can get to one. You sacrifice your own paycheck and your health just so you can give a bunch of kids a nice life. I mean seriously, you are the ideal man to be a leader of some country out there. A matter of fact why not run for president next time around?
Both men laughed as Pence felt a small nibble at the end of his line. Pulling with all of his might and reeling as fast as he could he managed to catch himself quite a large fish. He put it in the bucket all by its lonesome and turned to James.
Pence: Me as president is a bad idea. I have no idea how politics work and I would rather not endanger a country with my un-qualification.
James: Well it was worth a shot. Anyways I have to go off to a meeting down town. You have fun okay, I will talk to you tomorrow to solidify your contract with the APW. I can't wait to be working with you on a much more personal level. Peace Pence.
James walked away leaving Pence to fish. He smiled as he calmly talked to himself.
Pence: Looks like my lucks changing already.

*Present Day*
The scene opens up on the steps to the Lincoln Memorial and fans are standing looking at the man sitting on the steps. Pence Weatherlight looks up at them all and stands up, he has a microphone in his hands and is now stepping up the steps of the Lincoln memorial until finally he is at the top. The fans know what is coming, it is time for Pence's speech towards his opponents for Mayhem. The fans break out into cheers as Pence puts the microphone to his lips and he even hears a few people chanting "Mr. Main Event", he smiles and then speaks.
Pence: HELLO WASHINGTON D.C.! Home of freedom and the American way!
This brings out a large amount of cheers and shouts, he sits down on the top of the stairs and soaks in all of the cheers and chants, the "America" chants begin and he too begins chanting America. Soon the whole street is closed and traffic is being diverted to a much wider road, the fans have all gathered in front of the monument and even in the streets to just hear the man who they believe will be APW champion when Mayhem closes and everyone is leaving. He allows the fans to chant and do whatever the hell they feel like until he begins to speak again.
Pence: Its time ladies and gentlemen to realize the American dream, it is time to invigorate my fellow patriots! HERE IN THE NATIONS CAPITAL!
The people go crazy, they can't help it. Pence has them riled up and he is about to get them even further riled up with his speech once he gets around to it.
Pence: If you could please give me a moment of your time I would like to give you a little insight as to how this match at Mayhem is truly an all American match.
More cheers.
Pence: My match at Mayhem is a main event match against John Green, Level One, and Jason Royce if you guys have not heard or have been ignorant to the world for some time. Originally it was a simple match, a match between three people who wanted to do nothing more than win a belt, but ladies and gentlemen...they didn't cross their fingers or dot their I's. In short they did not anticipate the return of the man who has captivated millions for months at a time. So when I showed up and my first match was against Level One, they thought nothing of it, but then a little queer guy with a permanent PMS decided to show up and ruin that match and in the process he ruined your entertainment, he ruined your energy, and above all else he ruined the chances of you seeing Level One get his ass kicked by the new comer.
The fans grumble remembering that night with sever intensity.
Pence: That night was a failure, but that my friends was the only short coming that I have had so far. As you all know I have gone through all of the main events since then, wiping ass and taking no prisoners, and recently the bitchy community that is Level One and his two jolly little butt pirates have tried to finger me as not being entertaining or being manipulative or just plain out not being worth the time of you generous people.
He gets a bunch of boos and he nods his head in understanding he thinks its bullshit too.
Pence: Well as they all say ignorance likes company and what better company than anger and pride, eh? Its like the three downfalls of mankind thrown all into one sitting and in this sitting I get to kick all three of these downfalls asses and leave them in the middle of the ring battered and bloody like their moms after they got arrested for prostitution. Oh shit sorry about that, things just slip out sometimes, too bad this is being broadcast live to millions of people, otherwise this would be an isolated incident and nobody but me and at least a couple hundred more people would know that your mothers are whores. Anyways in truth this is no contest, this is about entertainment and they will not put out anything different than they have already done, they will not change things up. They will come out to the same routine and waste all of our time, they will play the same cards they have always played, and do the same things as they always do. Its best to just ignore all that shit and pay attention to the match and watch as innovation takes the hold because after all the true sign of a great fighter is his ability to improvise. Its not about how many championships hes won or how many matches he has lost at. In the end its all about his ability to cope and make adjustments to his game plan and trust me when I say this, none of the other competitors can do it better than me, sad to say.
He gets a few awes and saddened sniffles at the realization placed in front of them. He then speaks up again.
Pence: Its not like I wanted to be champion off the get go like everyone else in this match. I didn't come here to gain some belt, no I believe that professional fighting is much more than just wasting your time on gaining belts. Its about building a foundation for others to follow, its about bringing a small sliver of light into the world of darkness that we live in today, and its about having fun above all else. Let me tell you all I have had fun and I have tried my best to give you the entertainment you so deserve and I thank you for your applause and your backing because it is more than I ever could have dreamed for.
The fans cheer and start chanting "Weatherlight" as he smiles with tears in his eyes, the fans look bewildered.
Pence: Sorry about that, I am getting too emotional and all. Its just all of you have been so supportive of me, but don't worry I have a way to pay you all back. Ladies and gentlemen at Mayhem, I will beat all of my opponents and become your champion, so that I can ensure you get the type of champion you all deserve!
The fans erupt and Pence feeds off the energy they give him and stands up.
Pence: Before I start blabbering like an idiot it is only proper that I give you what you know is coming. Without further ado ladies and gentlemen let us get down to business and talk about my three opponents. We will start off with Mr. Angry Pants and then move ourselves over to Captain I am better than you, and then finally to I'm a manipulative prick. So where should we start huh? Who do you think deserves the most attention?
The fans begin to shout out names until they all unanimously agree on the first target. They all choose John Green, Pence nods his head in understanding after all he was the first one to send out a promo and fail to get a point across.
Pence: Well the fans have spoken, we will start with you John Green. First off good job on shortening your responses, this time I got through at least three quarters of it with out crying myself to sleep at how pathetic you are. You are trying to gain publicity off of a kid who is paralyzed from the waist down, first off I'm sorry kid that you are in a wheel chair, your name is Gary right? I never got your last name, but I will find you, or you can call the office and set up an appointment, I am pretty sure that I can get you something better than a day with Mr. Whiney. Secondly it must feel bad when a person you idolize uses you to gain personal standing with the community, to tell you the truth I am pretty sickened at the display myself. Back to you John, you must think I'm a big fake huh? A fake like you are, right? Your dead wrong amigo about as dead wrong as you having any say in me coming to APW, hell you didn't even know I existed until I came to APW and rained on your gay parade with Jason Royce. You are just upset and that is proven by the fact that you are trying to build public relations in almost the same fashion as I did, not that it is a contest, I do appreciate the idea of helping others, but when it is only for publicity and not just for the fact that you are making somebodies life better then it has crossed the thresh hold of being right to the outside world of just plain out wrong. You may think that it is alright to come out the way you did and target me more so than anyone else, because it doesn't matter who you talk about the most, it matters about how you talk about them when you do and lets face it I was the target. You are upset at me for breaking the balance of you and Jason Royce, you didn't want me in the picture and I didn't want to be a part of it, but the people wanted it. They wanted me to come out and whip your asses around the ring until your bodies collapsed from exhaustion and being the man who wants to bring entertainment, yes entertainment John, you know the thing that you say I'm not able to accomplish but actually am, I took it and ran with it. Your anger is your downfall, you are just too pathetic starting off with an almost saddening "This may be my last shot guys.", I can tell you this, nobody gives a shit if John Green comes out and fails at life. Nobody gives two shits John and its not because you suck, its because you just don't give a shit yourself. You don't care enough to rise up above these petty emotions of hatred and stupidity, all you want is a belt, you can easily get those off of ebay, but it still won't quench that everlasting thirst of yours. You will always be hungry for a title shot and you always come up short when either Level One or myself have been involved. Later on you complain about it and bitch and whine like a little baby, you are simply a slave to your own desires a beast driven on the pure need.
You call me plain and simple, annoying as well, but yet these are simple words in themselves and do not describe me, they describe you. I don't know if you are simply confused and you are targeting me with your fucked up psyche, but it is not right and the fans see through your bull shit and let me tell you no one is impressed with you. You never respected me and with good reason because I wasn't sleazy like you, I don't need to point out the facts anymore with you John, its just not worth the effort anymore. You go below the standards of entertainment every time you come out and people know you will lose as soon as your name is placed on the card. No, that was too harsh, and I apologize John, its not right for me to target you in that fashion, I think somebody out there must see you as a worthy opponent. To tell you the truth you are pretty good, if you could get out of this emotional state you are in you could definetly take the cake, but right now you are going about it all wrong. Anyways, you targeted my record among many things, you said I have failed in every main even I have been in here on APW, but then again you said to face the cold hard facts John and those facts say otherwise. The ratings have jumped since my appearance and wrestler participation or rather will to fight has increased by at least double what it was only a month ago and you say I have done nothing? Or maybe it is all a coincidence, maybe all my wins were flukes after all? But there is only one way to find out if that is true and that is by stepping into the ring one more time and fighting me until one of us breaks and let me tell you, I have a hell of a lot of endurance. You say nobody cares about the contender match, well that is just a plain out lie as well, your acts on Overdrive showed you are a liar because you even went to Level One to discuss it, people do not just walk up to one another and discuss frivolous things John, you should know better than to attempt that. But you are right in one aspect, I did not earn this shot. I have said that repeatedly, but that has not gotten through your mind until now, and I bet you think you came up with it. Simply put John I did not want to be part of the title scene for at least a month, but I was thrown into it by Jason Royce and had no choice but to run with it once the fans got under it. But now that I am part of it I also see that there was no way to avoid entering in in the first place. I have to stop you and Jason Royce from gaining the title and also at the same time to take away the title from a man who has been deeply seated with the title for some time now, Level One. I can not allow you all to take the title just because you all think you deserve it, I just can't. If I do it will literally destroy this business and send it back into the age of the dinosaur. You talk about shattered memories and dreams, but you do not understand why I talk about these things, its not for you. Its for them, I want the world to know what I went through before I came here, because they deserve to know what type of man I am. I am open about being who I am because it is only proper to be. You say I have failed since I have gotten here but I have managed to hold more wins than you have in the past 4 weeks. Would you look at the time, no more time to care for little babies, its time to move on to Jason Royce...is that okay with you guys?
The fans nod their heads solemnly, but one man shouts as loud as he can and Pence turns his attention to this man. Pence nods his head and walks down the steps until him and the other man are facing each other face to face. Both men have a chat and then Pence strokes his beard which is growing and then waves for the man to follow him up the steps. Both of them reach the top of the monument and then Pence begins to speak again.
Pence: This man...what is your name again?
Steven: Steven.
Pence: Nice to meet you Steven. This man Steven has more to add apparently, he told me that he wants his shot to voice himself against John Green and who am I to deny a die hard...wait a minute is that my "Baby Don't Fear the Reaper" shirt?
Steven: Damn right dude! I am a big Pence Weatherlight fan!
Pence: Well I'm honored man, now I'm going to let you have the spotlight. You speak to John Green directly while I'm going to sit out in the crowd.
Steven nods his head as Pence hands him the microphone and walks down to the fans and gets a few handshakes and pats on the back. He signs a few autographs then sits down and begins to listen intently.
Steven: Hello there John, you may not know me, but I know you. I have been watching you since you came to APW and so far I can say I'm not impressed. All you have ever done is suck and Pence has been trying to be as nice as he possibly can to you and you spit on him. Man you make me sick, I just want to vomit when I hear your bullshit come out of your mouth. You wouldn't even know what a main eventer is if it bit you in the ass, all you're in it for is the money. Pence is actually trying to make a difference and its bullshit that you say he hasn't made a difference! He has made a difference for so many people, you just don't want to do any research because you have the intelligence of a single celled organism. You can't even comprehend what Pence has done for you, if he hadn't shown up you would have been cleaning Level One's boots by now. He saved you...and he saved my kid. You may not know this, but my kid has been diagnosed with cancer just recently and I begged and pleaded for a miracle so that my baby girl could live to see a brighter tomorrow. Because of Pence's working with charities my daughter has managed to recover and is doing fine at home right now with my wife. Thank you Pence, you are my hero and I hope you kick all of your opponents' asses at Mayhem.
Pence walks up the steps now and hugs the now crying man and he pats him on the back. He hands him a card and mouths the words "call me if you need anything", he nods his head and gives the microphone back to Pence who goes back to sitting on the top of the memorial. He sits quiet for a few minutes and the fans see tears in his eyes. They all chant "Weatherlight" as he stands back up and raises one hand in thanks.
Pence: I feel like I could just go home now and still everyone would be satisfied, but there is a need to continue. I don't want to hold you guys here for longer than you want to be here. You can make the decision to stay or go. Your guys choice.
The fans don't move and Pence nods his head. The fans wait patiently for him to speak again.
Pence: Alright, now that we have John Green out of the way and that moving speech from Steven has been said, lets move on to Jason Royce.
The fans watch as Pence composes himself to speak to the man who needs the utmost simplicity of speech to even be reached. He loosens his tie and speaks slowly.
Pence: Hello Jason, lets take a trip down memory lane shall we? Lets go back to my first night in the APW, my triumphant return to wrestling, and my first official match in over six months. I accepted Level Ones match opportunity for the sheer fact that people would enjoy it and that it would entertain them, so when I accepted there were no thoughts of title runs or title reigns, only of entertainment plain and simple. So when I went out there with every intention of laying waste to the man who was hypocritical at best, you decided to intervene. As I pinned the man you pulled me off and then tackled Level, not only ruining the fun of millions of people world wide, but also pissing me off in the process, but I told myself no, that I would not let this effect my career and how did it turn out? You lose to me the following week, not only because you ruined the entertainment of millions, but because I just plain out didn't like you and that just made it easier for me to whip your ass around the ring and claim a victory. The following week I was thrown into a number one contenders match, not because I wanted to as you all assume, but because the booking staff thought it would be entertaining to see who would come out on top. So as I won the booking staff went crazy, the following week they placed me in a match with you as my partner, hoping to see once again if I would come out and do something amazing as the past two shows. The fans called it Team Pence vs. Team LO. Look it up its on the net. As our two teams fought each other your anger got the best of you in the same fashion that it always does and then the match got out of control once again the fans wanted more they wanted to see Pence vs. Level One and John Green vs. Jason Royce. So why not make it a title match the booking staff mused and so that is how this match came to be. This match is not something I wanted this early, but it seems that the Booking staff and you idiotic ingrates see it as me wanting a shot. No, what I wanted to do is build a reputation, but I suppose that you all get what you want now, but don't blame me when all three of you get awe struck by the shouts...the screams...the battle cries of millions of individuals around the stadium at Mayhem. Don't blame me when I crush every bone in your body, because John was right, you don't know what I am truly capable of, you have never seen me in a No DQ match, but if you really want information on how I will react look at a steel cage match that took place for the North American title. Then you will know. Well it seems I have veered away from the topic at hand with relative ease. Backing up Jason let me tell you how this all is relevant to you.
Here is how Jason. Jason you brought me into this match, you put me in the driver's seat whether you like to believe it or not. It is your fault that I am here at Mayhem fighting you three, it is all your fault. Your anger not only pissed away your only chance at beating Level One, but it damn well has put you out of the title hunt and you seem to realize that because the effort you have been putting out seems to be dwindling with every promo that you send out. This match is no longer about you and John Green, it has grown into a match between Level One and myself, we are the two men that have escalated this match into a sold out, capacity maxed, Mayhem and that is all your fault. All you had to do was allow me to beat Level One and everything would have been fine, you would have been able to beat John Green pretty easy, his emo ass can't even get out of bed in the morning without thinking he is inadequate. Level One would have been a problem, but at one time I thought you could have taken him, but now I see this is just not your division. Its not John's division either so don't worry about it Jason. You should have stayed in the world of Hardcore where you belonged Jason, it was much easier and much more entertaining to watch you as an Xtreme champion compared to what you are now. A whiny, bitchy, always angry chump that nobody even sees as a possible contender for the APW world heavyweight championship. Go back to Xtreme and never look back, because this my angry retarded friend is the big league version of the APW, and you are no where near ready enough to take on people like Level One and myself all the time. You were an entertaining monkey to Level One, just like John Green, but you have yet to use that anger to successfully do anything in the past month, I have beat you not once, but twice, and when Mayhem comes around it will be three times that I have bested you and two times that I have bested John Green, ain't that right Washington D.C.!
The fans cheer and throw up their arms, chanting his name repeaditly and then some chant Jason Royce's name and add sucks to the end. He chuckles a bit.
Pence: See Jason, nobody even thinks you have a shot in hell. Your one fan may think so, but the likelihood of him being pleased with the match at Mayhem is slim to none. I would just not show up if I were you, because out of all my opponents you have the most potential to do something in the future. You are just too rash minded now to really do anything. You will eventually be able to be as good as me Jason, but eventually is not now, strength, wisdom, and endurance all come with time and time is something you do not have Jason. Good luck to you Jason.
Pence sits down back on the steps and rubs his temples. He looks up at the fans and sees a man growling as he steps through the fans and out on to the first step. He wears a John Green shirt and is quite pissed, Pence stands up, and looks at the man for a second.
Man: I am Ralph and I am a fan of John Green.
He gets a lot of boos but Pence calms them down by putting his hands up. They obey as Ralph speaks again.
Ralph: I don't like the way you have been dissing my favorite wrestler and as soon as I heard you were out here I wanted to come out here and give you a piece of my mind.
Pence: If its any consolation Ralph, your man John Green dissed me first and deserved what ever I said to him today. But you are right, but vent your anger at the man who your guy John hates the most. Why don't you vent on Jason Royce?
Ralph seems awestruck by the show of kindness from Pence. Pence holds out the microphone to give Ralph his opportunity to speak to the world about Jason Royce, he had waited such a long time to do this. He grabbed the microphone from Pence's outstretched hand and then smiled at Pence.
Ralph: Maybe John was wrong about you. Anyways, my name is Ralph Zimmerman and I am a local here in Washington D.C. and I hate Jason Royce. The man is full of bravado and filled with so much anger that he is not worth the time that people give him. He doesn't even know how to truly wrestle, he only knows how to unsophisticatedly slam his fist into people's faces and yell about shit. I mean for crying out loud he clotheslined a guy for having a different opinion than him. He is a brute, a monster, and above all else he is not APW world heavyweight champion material. He tries to make others think that he has more in him than anger, but he is dead wrong and every time he tries to talk in a civilized manner he explodes at the first sign of dissaproval. I mean seriously is that the man we want running our world championship division? I think not. We need a man with integrity and focus, we need somebody like John Green and Level One...hell even Pence Weatherlight is better than him.
He gets a few boos but he flicks off the fans and continues.
Ralph: Jason Royce, all I have to say is, is that you are going to lose at Mayhem, and no amount of temper tantrums and furious outrages will win you a match against professional fighters. I'm out, here is your microphone back.
Pence: Thank you Ralph for sharing.
Ralph walks away and gets back in his car as Pence smiles at the fans who seem even more excited than before, they know who is next on Pence's agenda and so many people have been anticipating what Pence would say to Level One if he had the chance for a rematch, now their wishes were finally coming true. Pence walks out into the center of the crowd, they make a small circle around him as he begins to speak.
Pence: We have finally reached the end of the speech here at the Lincoln memorial, we have had our fun, our shits and giggles, but now we come to the man we all know will be the man to beat, the man to top. Ladies and gentlemen I am talking about Level One. This man has done a lot in his career, he has toppled many a man that stood in his way and he still keeps coming. He has endurance that rivals my own, specialized skills that rival my own, and let me just say he has a distinct advantage in the stipulation of this match. Level can pretty much do whatever the hell he wants to do to anyone in that match, he can go with low blows, chair shots, hell he can use brass knuckles if he feels like it. He most likely will do all of the above to retain his title, but the one thing he does not have over me is my fighting spirit. Level has been in the business longer than I have and it has taken its toll, he may walk into the ring acting like the same man he was not too long ago, but he is not the same, he has been weakened by his past fights, pieces of his soul have simply deteriorated until there is nothing left. He has bled and broken bones for the chance to be here today and there is no one that I would rather fight than this man at this point in my career. The both of us are in our prime and we are ready to fuck each other up with any tactic that we see fit to use. In the end though there can be only one APW champion. Only one man can call himself the best in APW. Ladies and gentlemen I have not asked you for much in the span of my career, I have not asked you to back me, but yet you choose to do so. So now I ask you this, will you support me when the time comes for me to fight Level One at Mayhem. Will you be there to chant and let out the cries of battle to invigorate me enough to beat this man?
The fans nod their heads and begin to let out battle cries, Pence smiles and begins to speak again.
Pence: Thank you, now on to what I have to say to you Level. Over the past few weeks you have done everything in your power to keep me down, you tried to set me up in matches that you knew were rigged for example the number one contender match. You tried to knock me out of contendership with attack after attack, but now that I think about it, its only human nature. People lash out at those they do not understand, they resent those that do not follow the same rules as the rest of the world and this is no different than that Level. You try to lash out at me because you don't understand and you never will understand until you have gone through what I have gone through. That of course will never happen. Ladies and gentlemen I must tell you now that at first I was afraid that Level One is in this match, I was afraid to step in the ring with him again to try to gain the ultimate prize from him, but that fear is gone now. I know what I have to do to win against him, I know that I can't pussy fist around with him, I know I can't hold back in a match where the tide of battle is constantly fluxing. I know that and you know that Level, but nobody else seems to notice just how dangerous this match has truly become. They have not noticed the two volatile elements that we represent, we are fighters who should not cross under such stipulations, but yet here we are. Here we are in a match that both of us know can become a death bed for any one of us. Careers can end, leaves from the APW can easily be obtained due to injury, and the shortening of our careers is quite a possibility. But yet here we are, standing on the precipice of this match, just waiting to dive right in. I know you will realize how foolish it would be to dive right in and I know that by now you are coming up with strategies to try your best not to get injured in a match like that, but the moment you step into that ring. Strategy is out the window, because you can never fully predict just how much your opponents will come at you, especially in a fatal four way match. In the end this match for me and you is more than just about the title, its about finishing unfinished business, its about fighting that rematch that we know has been long in the making, but we never thought that this rematch would be for the gold did we. When you finally get to cutting your promo do not say any witty catch phrases because they will fall upon deaf ears, the time for talk is gone, the time for action has arrived, and let me tell you something when you step in that ring on Mayhem. I am gunning for you, it is my chance to prove to you once and for all that that match on Overdrive was not a loss, but simply a lucky break for you because of Jason.
The fans know it, but you are too thick headed to accept that you have grown weaker ever since you won that title. You use that title as a bargaining chip Level, its no longer just a belt it has become your life, your soul, and that is why this match will be even more dangerous for you than anyone else. Because when you lose and trust me, you will because there are no more ways for you to get me disqualified, there are no more tricks that you can pull that I will not see coming, and there is no one left in your god damn corner to help you, it will take you longer to recover than any other participant in this match. But don't you worry Level, the real people's champion has come back and by now you know exactly who that man is. That man is me and here is your proof.
Pence holds up the microphone and all of the people around him chant his name, they don't stop until finally he puts the microphone back to his lips.
Pence: It was over as soon as you got me involved Level, I have no choice but to win this match, sad to say. I do believe I am not ready, but I know that to truly give the people what they want I have to make a personal sacrifice and beat you for the good of them. I hope you understand and I hope you will forgive me for the events that will follow come Mayhem.
Nick: Pence your being too kind again.
Pence turns to look at Nick who has just arrived on the scene, he seems surprised to see all of these people crowded around him and without asking for permission he takes the microphone away from Pence. Pence shrugs his shoulders and allow Nick to share his thoughts.
Nick: Listen up you pretentious prick. Pence may not want to hurt your feelings or injure your ego, but mother fucker I could give less than a shit about you and your damn "Game On." shit. Your right its going to be Game on though you sausage loving bitch, because when Pence steps in that ring he is going to Heavy Artillery your chulupa loving ass till the ring breaks. He is the strongest man in the APW, but because of his modesty he will not tell you straight out that he is stronger than any man, he will not mention that he is going to be the fastest APW world heavyweight champion in the history of the organization, no he would rather talk philosophy than tell you the cold hard facts. Seriously though Level, fuck off and die, you have manipulated so many people and yet you continue on like nothing is wrong or nothing has happened, and let me tell you this I can already tell you are going to get your ass kicked because not only have you crossed John Green and Jason Royce but you have also crossed my boy Pence here. Pence has been training day in and day out to fight you and your possie of dick loving chimpanzees that are John Green and Jason Royce, a training that I personally oversaw to make sure that he was getting the most out of it. Did I tell you that he can now fight six people in the ring at once? Of course not I didn't tell you that, so I just told you for the sake of you knowing what you are really up against. So get a good look Level One, because all the gold you are going to be seeing in the future is that star on your damn locker room door. Pence I'm out see you at the Hotel, I have got some shit to take care of.
Nick handed the microphone back to Pence who looks at Nick with a sort of dazed look. He doesn't even say a word as the fans go crazy, he looks around at them and gives them a smile
Pence: Lets go find some place to eat. The foods on me!
Even more cheers follow him as Pence and at least 850 other people march down the street looking for a restaraunt. The scene goes to black as an emblem of a reaper holding a clock counting down the days to Mayhem is shown.
