The scene opens up at a local gym in Washington DC. The state where APW Mayhem will take place. In the gym is the APW Xtreme Champion, the Hardcore Kid. The Hardcore Kid is on an exercise bike. Peddling hard. Sweat dripping down his face as he has an intense look on his face, as he trains hard for a huge match for me. A match against a former multi time world champion. A match against a Legend. A match against Twister. Thoughts going though the Kid’s head of if he can really beat Twister. A big test for the youngest. With Twister retiring, The Kid wasn’t happy with it. He called Twister out, and with Twister finally accepted, its time for the Kid to put his money where his mouth is. To step up and back up running his mouth.
With a successful year so far for the Hardcore Kid, defeating Twister could do good things for his career. He’s already beat one legend in Dr. Matt. He holds a victory over President Jeff from a year ago. And now, time to beat the last remaining man from that cliq of wrestlers that made names for themselves together. The APW Camera’s are at the gym as The Hardcore Kid comes off his exercise bike and quickly grabs his towel and wipes the sweat off his face. The Kid then grabs his water and takes a gulp before sitting it back down. The Kid looks up at the camera and begins to speak.
THK: May 31st, finally. The Hardcore Kid will get his chance at Twister. The so called legend himself. The man who went from being at the top of APW, being the World Champ at one point, to being a washed up has been. I respected you Twister. It was the first time when Hardcore Ice faced off against you and Lively on an episode of Meltdown where I really knew I had made it as a wrestler. To be in the ring with your guys was a big deal to me. Even though we ended up losing the tag titles to you guys. I still looked up to you because you we’re a legend. A guy I could study and inspire to be like. Then we ended up being on the same team, the Hired Gunz for the War Games match at Carnage. But then, You had a match at Rasslemania, against our boss, President Jeff. And then, you seem satisfied with your career that you decided that enough was enough and it was time to retire. But you know what Twister, what really grinded my gears was the fact that, you never gave back to the company. You never did what they call “Pass the Torch” You just wanted to up and leave quietly. But I can’t let that happen.
The stories I’ve been told, the stories about how the legends would pass the torch to the next generation of stars. Pass it to the guys who are deserving. Who work hard and show the dedication. The heart of a champion. And for you to not pass the torch to me, makes me sick Twister. I thought we we’re friends. Hell, we played Rock Band together. Rock Band. And we kicked ass at it. But I guess I was just another wrestler to you huh Twister. I Guess I meant nothing to you. But guess what, I should.
I’ve been with APW since day freakin one. Never took time off. Only me and Jason Royce can say that and I pride myself on that. I pride myself on how far I’ve came as a wrestler from day one. I jobbed to everyone, but did I quit. No, I toughed it out and kept at it and look at me. A two time tag champ and current Xtreme Champion and longest reigning may I add. And I’m more than deserving to have that torch passed to me. I’ve been here thought the ups and downs. And at a time where APW needs you the most Twister. You decide you want to retire.
How many people stay retired. You retired once already then you came to APW. How long will it be before you decide to come out of retirement again. How long before you get the itch to wrestle. No one stays retired. So why bother. Are you gonna come back when you run out of money from drinking it all away and spending the rest of prostitutes? Are you gonna wait till a big event comes along, beg for a match to get a big pay day? Why not say wrestling. Spread your knowledge. Show the noobs the respect the need to learn. You used to be one of those guys people should inspire to act like, but then you decided to quit.
You have so much left to offer. I mean, what have you done since coming back into Wrestling that you can be proud of. Something people can be proud of you for. Sure you won the World Title, but you lost it like a month later. Sure you won the Xtreme Title. But you lost in what, a month later. And same with the tag titles. Your run here has really been nothing spectacular. You’ve done nothing to be remembered for and really no one but me cares about your retirement. And now your gonna be satisfied about losing to me at Mayhem as your last match. Come on, lets be real here. Is that how you want to go out Twister?
But its not gonna matter, because at Mayhem, your entering my kind of match. A match of my element. Xtreme Rules. A match I excel at. My Xtreme title isn’t on the line, because, if some fluke way you win, you won’t take the title and retire as champion because titles are meant to be defended, not vacated. But Twister, I could go on all night about what I could do to you in the ring, since you’re a broken down piece of garbage. When I’m done with you, you can go crawl back to Winnipeg and you’ll be able to tell your grand kids one day that “Grandpa was a wrestler once and in his last match, got his ass handed to him.”
Twister, your career, it’s a thing of the past. Your skills, are worthless. Because my gun is loaded and ready to go. And just like Ole Yeller. I’m takin you behind the barn and pullin the trigger, and sending you STRAIGHT TO HELL!
The smirks a smile as he walks past the camera and the scene fades to black.
