i was going to buy it for like 600 when it first came out but decided to wait a while... Now I have a 360 so i dont know what I'm going to do. there are some obscure PS3 exclusives that I need though. some yakuza game that was fucking awsome on ps2 now they have a sequal on ps3,

Well its looks kinda cheapy if you ask me. Looks like a child's toy like the ps3 slim. Plus its not touch sensitive, and it cant play ps2 games, and you can't download any special software on it like the original ps3. Who cares if it weighs less? That just means its easier to throw around. Its not like you are going to be holding it while you play it.
Now with it going to some new look without the piano touch finish as they call it, they get rid of finger prints, well all you have to do with the current ps3 is to clean it every once in awhile. Or you could get a skin for it like I did. Its not dusty anymore so all is good with me.
Also I got my PS3 when it first came out for $500 cause my Dad is like a master of bargaining. It was the original one without wifi, 20GB now its 500GB! So all in all, I'm not pissed at all.

How the fuck can I get my ps3 to play ps2 games?! I try, but it says this version of the ps3 can't. Can't I download something?

nope, only certain PS3 plays PS2 games. Mine does though and I'm glad is does cause my PS2 is starting to act up
